NorCal needs better management. Often times there was little support with staff. Many new hires don’t often stay for too long, there is a lack of uniformity, staff members don’t really understand what facilitating and mentoring means In Order for the clients to successfully lives independently. 

This company really knows how to make staff feel belittled and not really supported. Many of the hires have connections with the Director of Programs. Work environment is horrible, there is little to no contact with others case managers, clients or staff. Often times staff spend most of their times on their phones/ tablets  pushing clients away. 

When trying to communicate, you will most likely not have a response. Workers are overworked and tired of not being heard. 

Overrall, NorCal offers a bit of experience for those who are trying to get experience within the field of social work in terms of having better communication skills and resolving conflicts on your own. Best part that makes the company better is the relationships you build with the Clients and family members. 

Management gets attitude when asked things of the employees for the clients. my coworker had mentioned to management that we needed a new grocery order because our clients were low on food instead of going to make a grocery list. She told us to basically scrap up whatever they had left and put it all together. the communication is horrible. They switched apps and payroll nor management contacts people on time payroll and HR is very nonresponsive when in need. Even when you have direct deposit, your paycheck is still late.

The patients are the best part of the company.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The management has no concern for the client. They know nothing and do not follow up if they are sent to the ER. The care staff care more than management.

Easy going work day unless it's only one staff for four clients.

I love work with  older  people they are really  nice

The clients house be dirty. The managers dont be caring

Smaller company. Good place to work. Hardest part for some employees is scheduling clients and hours to work. Clients can be challenging but management helps as much as they can with this.  Initial training and paperwork done mostly online or through other co-workers for a couple hours. Learn most on the job as you go. 

Not be able to meet clients needs due to poor management and lack of supplies,  such as food for client, toilet paper , gloves,  and items client needs for daily hygiene.  This company should be turned in and close down due to how clients are taken advantage of because of their disability.  

The training was very short and unorganized with high expectations. It’s very common for shift changes to happen with little to no notice due to them always being understaffed and poor communication. Working here took a mental toll on me quickly within my first week.

Very unprofessional, hard to contact , bad communication,  never trained me or gave me info about clients I was always just thrown into something, they never gave me a schedule for December kept running me in circles which lead me to be in debt with my bills, employees are rude….the company is just very inconsiderate 

Both horrible they bring in staff who know nothing about the person’s disabilities and not trained at all. Communication with management is horrible and reaching HR is harder.
