A typical day at work included checking the loan queue for new consumer loans in need of review for approval, watching for email notifications of car lease requests from car dealerships and being available to answer questions of credit union members. 
I learned the Groovecar/Apptrac system for car lease approval and the Portico system for credit union accounts. 
I was at the job for 6 months. My co-workers were always there to help when I needed it. Because of the high turnover, I was able to help new employees that came on after me. 
The hard part was trying to predict who would pay the loan back and who would default. That in most cases is impossible. 
The most enjoyable part was having coworkers come in to my office with a smile and something encouraging to say .

This company tries to say they make decision for their employees best interest. Its a lie, this company does not care about their employees at all. They do what they think is EASY. They don't even have the right equipment to even consider themselves a credible credit union. They lack in training which cause errors which leads to constant leaves within the credit union. it is ALWAYS understaffed because they don't know what they're doing! It is sad to witness how they treat their employees. They don't even listen to you when you seek for assistance in bettering the work environment. My advice is if you do decide to work here, go in KNOWING it is temporary. You should not want to stay here, they will give you a fake smile every day and give then give you a .05 cent year raise. It is not worth it!

Lets just start by saying this company is sneaky and manipulative, First they will hire you for a specific position, and then upon starting, they will change your job duties entirely. The entire upper management team consists of incompetent individuals who couldn't find their way out of a paper bag. They will lie and hold grudges, forcing you to look for work else where. Incentive packages are non-existent, yet they want you to SELL SELL SELL, even though their primary focus is the members (yea ok). Overall the best part of this job is going home at the end of the day. Look for a job elsewhere.

NJFCU is a horrible place to work and a horrible place to bank at! Upper management is so horrible including the CEO herself! They would rather hire new people than promote the ones who are hard working and loyal. This places is based on favoritism from the members to the employee’s. They give out awards to people who don’t deserve it and ignore the people who actually do deserve it! This place LACKS diversity, if your Spanish you’ll fit right in. Sometimes you pay is short and HR acts like they can’t help you with the mistake they made! It’s so ridiculous here, I hate this place!

NJFCU has to be one of the worst companies I have worked for. It is very unprofessional, unorganized, lacks culture and ethnicity. If you are trying to grow, this is not the company to work for. If you are looking for conveniency, then this may be for you. Expect to be stressed due to lack of updated technology and unclear policies. Not to mention, compensation isn't competitive.  Overall, my experience here was not great and I wont recommend anyone to work for this company.

A typical work Place included processing bank member transactions (deposit, withdrawl, transfer money, open/ close accounts.
I learned how to properly organize, arramge, and count money accurately and efficiently.
Management was supportive and encouraging at all times.
My co-workers were also supportive, professional, confident, and systematic.
The hardest part of the job was balancing my cash drawer before my shift was over which I shortly mastered afterwards.
Every part of the job was enjoyable.

NJFCU is mindful that employees need to have life and work balance to be engaged, energized and fulfilled in their jobs. NJFCU expects for everyone to do there part or functional role for the CU to be successful which it also means holding employees accountable. NJFCU does not terminate you if you miss your sales goal like all other banks do. If you want a long term career because your care to succeed in a fair and equitable environment this is the place for you. Good luck!

As a compliance officer, a day at the office is based on following up on day to day transaction investigations. Also, follow up with emails and read about What's new in the compliance world, to include Reg. changes and what is coming down the pipeline in the upcoming months/years.
Interaction with management and co-workers is on a day to day basis and it is pleasant.
Hardest part of my job is not getting answers from my colleagues to complete important assessments.

I have been promoted 3 times in the past 5 years.They really like to promote from within.  The CEO started out as a teller. Not only can you work your way up  but they have tuition reimbursement and will pay for your college. They do expect you to work hard and have little tolerance for absenteeism. Great benefits that cost less from your paycheck form other employees. Friendly fun atmosphere

The organization as a whole is not bad however, could stand to use some much needed improvements. To much importance is placed on the wrong things and instead of looking to improve the company by removing the problems they would rather sacrifice the smaller pieces of the puzzle.
