A typical day for FT PT included 2 evals and 6 treatments with 1 hr lunch break. Some days required 3 evals or double booking though this was not regular. Management greatly caters to your schedule, perhaps to a fault at times. Workplace culture is great in the PT department with a very friendly and family like atmosphere. Very good place to learn and improve skills in nearly every aspect of PT practice. The most difficult part of the job is completing documentation efficiently due to the poor electronic/paper chart hybrid system; the doc system does not have any modern features (not even spell checking). The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing patients achieve their goals. Some often start their therapy journey in a wheelchair and end by walking out of the clinic independently a few months later. Unfortunately, some patients, usually pain management, were not very pleasant. My coworkers were also fantastic and made me look forward to coming into work in a daily basis. 

Did a 13 week travel contract and did an extension. 
Pros: Pay was good, ratio on med-surg was typically 6:1, I was usually able to take regular meal breaks and most of the people were nice and helpful. 
Cons: The majority of the nursing staff was travel, the hospital doesn’t seem to care about retaining its full-time employees, but  this is not unique to most hospitals now and it was why I went travel to begin with. Charting is all electronic BUT the system they use is Paragon, which is outdated and so the charting is long and tedious. Some PCTs were of lower caliber and acted as though they didn’t care about the job, but equally they’re getting paid less than most fast food workers so there’s that. A lot of equipment was outdated/broken which made patient care more difficult than it needed to be. 
For a travel nurse this hospital is just okay, you’re more or less there to help the hospital fill up beds. I would do a contract there again. If you’re looking at full time employment, just keep your options open. 

What’s supposed to be a welcoming care facility, patient focused, health based environment... is everything but that. 
Co-workers are harsh and immature. The job itself was fair, not too difficult. The pay was not satisfactory.  However, I love assisting in back-end work (assisting in patient care, technical implementation when it comes to hospitality).  So, I truly enjoyed the job itself. 

Everyone and everything else, can be quite melancholic. Very depressing, false words with broken promises. 
If the authorities are miserable they will make sure your life is unbearable. 

Go for it if you are looking for something physically easy. I would recommend you protect your peace and heart though. No body is worth being spoken to so immaturely. Management is not proactive. 

Hang in there friend :) a better opportunity will find you!! 

A typical day at work, you are continuously speaking with healthcare facilities and workers. I learned the various types of testing involved in specific problems that patient encountered. The management in this particular position needs to be re-evaluated. The hardest part of the job was not being able to get out off earlier in the day. The hardest part of the job was having to close for the office, that meant leaving last each day. The most enjoyable part of the job was simply making patients happy and comfortable when coming to RMC for any medical needs.

Be prepared to carry a recorder for when you get accused of something. Only a handful of staff are pleasant.  Most are just waiting on you to fail. I've seen several new employees leave crying. Assistant director and phlebotomy manager do not set you up to succeed. Too much racism and backstabbing. CLAs that have been there the longest are allowed to demean you, attack coworkers. One even punched a wall. Managers seem afraid to fire the worst ones. They run off the good employees and hire unqualified ppl that cannot be taught to stick and the pt suffers.

Has Adult and Geriatric Inpatient Treatment in a Crisis Stabilization, short stay setting. Typical Day includes administration of medications, documentation of patients behavior and response to treatment, admission and discharge of patients.

Management is generally very responsive to the needs of the employees.  Co-workers generally get along well with each other and are especially supportive during management of patient behavioral disturbances.

But that’s honestly as far as it goes!  You are not important to management.  They like to leave all the work on you.  RMC just loves people who are willing to add more hats to their heads for absolutely not a cent more.  And then when you tell  them that they can either match the pay of others in the area that does exactly the job you do or you’re leaving, they very quickly show you the door.  Their “excuse” for not matching others pay in same position is that RMC is a “not for profit” organization and doesn’t have to meet quality pay.  

You learn how to deal with different people from all walks of life. You also learn what is important to you while working in a hospital. For example, I do not like when the nurses let the patients' call light keep beeping. The nurses are there for a reason and it's not to set behind a desk.
The hardest part of my job was being in a room when the staff had to perform CPR on patients.
I got along with everyone from the supervisor to the newest person on our team. We were like one big family.

A typical day at work consisted of admitting and discharging 2 to 4 patients per shift. Assessment of 2 critical, sometimes ventilated patients. I learned how to multi task, learned about vasodialors, as well other important IV drip medications, also well educated in trach and ventilator care. The hardest part of the job was always having to be the bearer of bad news, telling children, husbands, mothers that their loved ones were not doing well and the definite outcome. The most enjoyable part of the job was watching people come in near death and walking out of the unit.

They care more about the surveys from patients and compensation from insurance companies than safety of patients and quality of work environment for staff.  Staff was constantly stressed out.  Tensions high on floor.  Upper management needs to reevaluate priorities in order to improve staff-retention rates and work-life satisfaction.
