This company along with the management only cares about money allowing the staff to be overworked to the point of not getting breaks plus they cannot even provide vision insurance to their employees. Multiple safety issues are not in place to prevent medication errors, clear pathways in case of a fire, and the nurses are so understaffed and overbooked with patients causing a stressful dog eat dog environment. The teamwork is spotty at best but the backstabbing and trying to one up with the management team prevails. The turnover rate is extremely high due to insufficient management, support, lack of breaks, overbooked with patients, and broken promises from management. If you value your nursing license and wish to avoid a toxic work environment, I would suggest finding a different employer. 

I have the privilege of working at Northwest Medical Specialties for nine years, and I can genuinely say that the doctors here exemplify true compassion. They go above and beyond to provide exceptional care for patients facing intense challenges in their lives. Whether it’s a difficult diagnosis or ongoing treatment, the doctors are there every step of the way.

But it’s not just the doctors who make this place special. The management truly cares about both patients and employees. They actively seek ways to improve the practice’s efficiency, ensuring that everyone benefits. Their commitment to creating a positive work environment is evident, and it reflects in the overall atmosphere.

Working here, I’ve witnessed firsthand the impact we have on patients’ lives. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that makes a difference. Northwest Medical Specialties isn’t just a workplace; it’s a community of dedicated professionals who genuinely care.

If you are looking for a nightmare of a job this is the job for you. Management is unreliable, untrustworthy, and nowhere to be found. They have no compassion or empathy for patients or staff. Staff is often ignored and disregarded. Management has zero communication among themselves as one will say one thing and the next will say another. We are lucky to see a manager once a month  and we are not informed of what clinic they are working out of for the day. “That’s so all staff are on their toes”. Staff is constantly micromanaged through teams or a email on things that us staff members and trained and continue to train them on. Patients wonder why there is such a high turnover rate. People have left the zoom meetings while in interviews and have walked out and never come back. If management took feedback seriously then this problem could potentially change.. but I do not see that happening with the management that’s running the circus now.

Job performance excellent no complaints. However, one of the people in charge made a problem with me. Then got the support of next higher up. Together they spoke behind the scenes and plotted against me. I experienced colorism and being different from them cost me my job. My work ethic did not matter. They only focused on me being different. I wasn't one of them so they decided I was no longer a good fit.I loved the patients and doctors were awesome. Clique mentality if a certain person doesn't like your personality you will lose your job. They pretend to care while plotting to build a timeline and case to move in terminating you. Instead of solving the issue with a longterm employee they will get rid of the new employee especially if you are not one of them. Supervisor tells you personal issues to get you to open up then uses personal conversations again st you. To say your personal issues are affecting your work.

The only functional department is research. If you are hired on there, DO NOT allow them to transfer you or push you into a different department. 

There is a significant lack of training, support for education, and no growth opportunities. 

CEO is absent and the remainder of the C suite ranges from benign to malignant incompetence. Management is abusive and will undercut any chance of success. There is no job security or any method to their madness. 

This company exemplifies why for- profit healthcare is inferior and why unions are needed. Nurses are not valued and education is sneered at. Turnover is so constant that some staff clock out for lunch and never return. 

Don't waste your time at this company when there are so many employers in the area with openings that will pay you more. 

Leadership has all every department spread so thin that employees can barely do their required jobs effectively. 
I feel sorry for any patient who decides to work with this company. Dr Blau is a tyrant and leadership will do nothing about it. 
Leadership is completely out of touch with how the clinics operate, yet they make changes with zero consideration as to how those changes will affect daily routine and operations in each clinic. 
Company culture is one of backstabbing and mean girl cliques. 
Leadership’s goal is to extract as much from each employee as they can, with no consideration of the impact on employees. 
Work life balance does not exist with this company. You’re expected to put the company first with no regard for your home life. Asking for time off is frowned upon. 

I enjoyed working at NWMS for many reasons. My coworkers and providers were great people. We had an amazing team. The most enjoyable part of my job was my interaction with my cancer patients and our patients with blood disorders. They really made you look at life a whole lot differently. My goal was to always make them feel like family and we were going to do our best to take care of their needs.  I decorated for every holiday and everyone participated in dressing up on special occasions. The patients loved it. Anything to put a smile on their face during a difficult time in their life. The hardest part of the job is when our passed away.  You get attached to these very special individuals. They become your family. Our office was my family. My 1st job as a medical assistant and I loved it.

You work with Cancer patients which requires empathy and tolerance for patients who will sometimes take their anger and frustrations out at you. However, its also a very rewarding experience to be there and offer emotional support people who are going through so many challenges and changes, and to be there for survivors on their last chemo day. 
It is a very busy work environment and with COVID-19 they have strict measures to protect their employees and our vulnerable patients. 
Employee appreciation is done through many ways, which are all great but do not make up for a living wage. EAP offers alot of great benefits and free consultations as well as paid consultations at a reduced price. 

I think there are good doctors and nurses here, but the culture is extremely toxic. This toxicity bears out in two ways: a lot of unmotivated staff (schedulers, navigators, coordinators) and lots of turnover. There have been at least a half dozen docs who have come and gone in the past few years and that kind of problem happens because of bad management up top. Unprofessional management that will throw you under the bus routinely and a very "mom and pop" feel for better and certainly for worse. I'd be surprised if this practice survives if it can't hold on to good doctors, MAs and nurses long-term--lots of competition in the area.

This has to be the most toxic work environment I’ve ever come across as an RN. There’s no consistency in holding people accountable. One person may do something, such as call off for a sick child, and get fired for it while someone else does it and no one cares. If certain people like you, you can get away with anything. If one person dislikes you, it’s all over the company that you are a bad employee and they will make your working life a nightmare until you finally quit. I’ve seen it happen with so many good employees there. Also, the physicians treat the nurses, MAs, schedulers, and triage staff terribly. Very disrespectful and unprofessional. This company needs a complete overhaul.
