I’m stunned by all the negative comments about Nura and the work environment. I have been an employee for several years and I can not imagine working at any other company. I have always felt heard and valued and respected by all levels of management. The CEO and supervisors know my name and what department I work in even though I don’t work directly with them everyday. They still know who I am and make me feel like I matter and am not just another person who works for them. Every person I work with has a deep level of compassion for the patients that come through our doors everyday. Of course, some days might be difficult because we are dealing with a population of people who are in extreme pain most of the time and are skeptical about if we can help them. It’s so rewarding to me to see the incredible transformation happen as our team transforms their lives and gives them their life back. From a personal stand point, this company is very flexible with their staff and personal needs. Their maternity leave is what you would expect from a company who cares about their employees and their desire to return. We get bonuses of some kind every year and all year we are recognized whenever we go above and beyond what’s expected of us. My manager meets with me personally once a month just to check in with me and this is outside of our monthly department meeting. We are able to address concerns or talk about anything we are struggling with or would like more training on. I am motivated to want to improve and do more before my next meeting so we can continue to work on ways to make our department even better!  I love Nura, they are an extended family! 

A typical day depending on shift for a patient care coordinator can be opening unlocking doors at a certain time, checking in patients, checking prior authorizations, making appointments, calling for prior authorizations, generally being communicative.

That being said, there are a lot of good employees. Just inconsistency with management and favoritism with management. I believe the favoritism causes poor workplace culture, lack of understanding, and lack of feedback. Frequently I would not receive any positive feedback only negative feedback from weeks or months prior. 


Anticipate frequent changes in tasks, lack of positive or negative feedback in a timely manner. The culture for patient care coordinators is frankly hostile. Management does not take accountability for under-informing staff of duties or policies in a timely manner. 

To add positive feedback I will say most of the staff is fantastic. There is lack of communication from management and lack of accountability causing patient care coordinators to misunderstand tasks as well as lack of accountability when staff who are not qualified are hired. 

Great staff who work well together but the culture is negative due to the constant pressure to do more and more.  Procedures and surgeries in the surgery center are added on every day at the last minute forcing staff to stay late with no thought as to how this may impact their lives.  Patients can wait for hours for their appointments due to over-scheduling.  Pump patients are packed into daily clinic schedules and nurses are forced to take on more than what is realistic.  Management always seem stressed with too much on their plate.  Communication is poor and a big problem. 
Pay is pretty good compared to other similar facilities with decent and affordable medical insurance.  401k match has been there at times and then taken away.  Lots of favoritism with the top tier management who seem to hire only their friends and past co-workers. 

This job was rewarding in many ways because of the patients and experience that you gain from working at Nura, but, there are too many cons about the company to justify applying. You are expected to complete everyone else’s tasks and are not compensated for the changes. The front desk constantly makes mistakes and instead of training the staff to do better, the task is handed off to another department. Management tries to be relatable and friendly but doesn’t try hard enough to make changes for their staff. The only thing that got me through this job was my coworkers who were great at helping me out when I needed it and great people all around.

It is always scary to start a new job, but at Nura, I immediately felt like part of the team. Every single person I met was welcoming and kind. My work load has been extremely manageable, which was a big issue at my previous job. I was working late all the time and extremely stressed. Nura has been very vocal about maintaining a work/life balance, and has ensured I am getting just that. They have been very flexible and accommodating. The pay is great, and they reward their employees for meeting/exceeding goals. They also plan fun events and provide lunches/snacks frequently. Little touches like that make a difference to me personally. 5/5!

The employees here are mean and clicky. the older ones are X-ray operators trained in by the CEO 20 years ago.  All the Rad Techs are brand new out of school and this is there first job. This place has high turn around because managers no respect for Rad Tech procedures and do not support the techs what so ever. The Techs are treated like grunts, doing all the dirty work such as mopping the floor and sterilizing instruments, and making the epidural trays alone! There were many days we did not get breaks or didn't get lunch until it was almost time to leave. This is the most toxic environment I ever worked in. 

I have worked for Nura for a few years now and it has been one of the best companies I have worked for. They are always looking at ways to recognize us and I never work nights/weekends which is what I was looking for with my work/life balance. They give out turkeys during thanksgiving, have a ton of giveaways/fun activities the weeks leading up to Christmas and do several other fun events throughout the year. We have received holiday bonus’ from leadership in the past as a thank you for our hard work. My manager is always available to me and makes me feel valued. I would highly recommend Nura- it is a great company and they care a lot about me. 

Like other reviews have said, this company is unorganized. Patients are added on at the last minute on a daily occurrence and staff have to come early/stay late to accommodate it. There is poor work/life balance. Sometimes would have to go from one location to another with little notice in the same day. Management is a problem - it feels like high school. They gossip and if you stand up and try to voice a concern about it, you get a target put on your back. Good workers are pushed out by management. Loved the MD's I had the opportunity to work with, and the pay was nice, but at the end of the day that was not enough to make it worth staying. 

Small business who’s management is friends of friends. No trust in management.  They will pick favorites and unfortunately if they do not like you, you will be targeted and pushed out. Not to mention the ASC nurse supervisor runs around all day pushing for a faster, faster, pace and mistakes are being made that effect patients and staffs well-being. When this was brought up with management it was brushed under the rug and not taken care of and ultimately the people who brought up the concerns were punished. 

I worked at this company years ago, and after spending the past 6 years thriving in a professional and supportive corporate environment, I feel obligated to speak up. The management here was untrustworthy, frequently undermining employees, deflecting blame, and creating a toxic atmosphere where people were fired over fabricated issues. Upper leadership lacked professionalism and accountability. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this company if you're looking for a healthy, growth-oriented workplace.
