Working as a case manager here has been such a rewarding experience. The culture is truly amazing. Everyone is kind, supportive, and always willing to help one another. The supervisors are wonderful and genuinely invested in both our professional growth and overall well being.

I also really appreciate the flexibility this agency provides. Working remotely and a 35 hour workweek allow for a great work life balance. The organization as a whole is very well structured, and leadership is always looking for ways to make our jobs easier and more efficient as case managers.

I have been with the agency for almost a year now, and I continue to be impressed by the positive environment, the level of support, and the way the agency values both its employees and the people we serve. It is a fantastic place to work, and I feel very fortunate to be part of this team.

Area Agency on Aging District 5 has been a game changer as far what I expect in a workplace culture.  As our CEO says in the video, she is, and we are intentional about culture. Our 4 keys of excellence include safety, courtesy, customer service, and efficiency. The staff as a whole is engaged in promoting them and thinking out of the box to help with continued growth. The day-to-day work is supported by a knowledgeable and present supervisory staff. Benefits abound-there are work from home options, paid vacation from day one (for work/life balance), a top-notch wellness program where you can earn points to get money off your health insurance premium plus more. Did I say we get to assist and connect with people in our communities, well we do! To summarize-it’s a great place to work!

District 5 Area Agency on Aging is a very welcoming agency when I first started and until now, almost 5 years of working with the agency, nothing has changed. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and warm! The focus of our CEO in fostering a positive culture has really given me the motivation to be working at the agency as productive as I can be! There are so many benefits given to all the staff such as the flexibility of schedule, generous paid time off, and Holidays! It allows you to have that family-work balance in your life and they are so mindful of giving us tools, resources, and anything that can make us feel appreciated!!

I have worked for AAA 5 for 6 years and it just keeps getting better. The culture in the agency is outstanding, co-workers and managers and the CEO, truly care about each other and their families. Team work is strong across the agency and everyone is supportive and communicates openly with each other.  Supervisors are available and quick to respond when you have a question. Appreciation is given to staff and we even have an entire week dedicated to Employee Appreciation.  No weekends, nights or holidays A great place to work if you have kids and like to be at their events and have good work/life balance.  Case load numbers vary but work is able to be done in the allotted time. Rewarding job to help others and link them to resources that they don't know about. I love it here and I don't plan to leave!

Going into area agency on aging I was extremely nervous for the new work environment and meeting everyone but upon starting and since the beginning every single individual person at the area agency on aging has been extremely nice and very welcoming, they don't  think twice about making you feel like your a part of the team, I have never worked for a company where the atmosphere is bright and cheery and everyone gets along.  The people at this company check on you often and genuinely care about your well being and are big on taking the time if you need to. I have never once since working  here been scared to talk to someone or ask for help. I would recommend this company to every single person ever. the support in this company is unlike any other. 

I have worked for OD5 for about 6 months and coming from a background in retail management, this has been such a wonderful change of pace. The management and peers are so welcoming and kind. Everyone works together as a team. The culture here is like no other company I have ever worked for. They let their employees know that they are valued and appreciated.  I received very detailed training on my job so I was comfortable when I started working on my own.  The benefits are great. I enjoy working a normal Monday-Friday job and having my evenings, weekends and HOLIDAYS free to be with my family. This is hand down the best company I have ever had the privilege to work for. 

A typical work day for me is communicating between providers and case managers to ensure accuracy and accountability to our consumers. 

I’ve learned about how we can support our aging community and just how much detail and thoughtfulness goes into the day to day. 

Workplace culture is amazing. Everyone is kind and helpful. 

One of the hardest parts of my job is the lack of communication between departments. Information tends to get siloed. 

My favorite part of about my job is the impact that we have on our community. You see help in action even on the sidelines. 

I have worked for the Agency for almost 6 years now. The agency truly invests in their employees and offers opportunities for learning and growth. The environment and culture are incredible, and the work/life balance is also amazing! I was able to get my bachelor's degree and master's degree all while working full time at the agency. I truly felt that my supervisors and coworkers were so encouraging of this. I now am an SRS Recovery Manager and I LOVE my job. I make a difference every day and get to work with the most incredible people!

Area Agency on Aging is a breath of fresh air after working in draining, stressful office environments before. The 35-hour work week is a game-changer for work-life balance, and the culture within the agency is one of a kind! You feel like you've been there for years after just a few short weeks. Everyone is welcoming and helpful, and it's easy to see why they have so many employees who have been with the agency for years and even decades. The work feels meaningful and fun!

I have worked at the Area Agency on Aging for 8 years and love it.  The culture here is wonderful and contagious.  Everyone is there to help and support each other and our community.  The family work life balance is not just a gimmick, they really do back it up with excellent time off benefits and insurance benefits.  

The Area Agency on Aging is the job I plan to retire from.
