OC is not entirely a bad company. It's a small local medical provider trying to grow. I can say the Rad Onc, Front Office and Director of Operations management are good people. The Memorial City Office (MCO) is good. The Business Office is bad. Management is a click. All been there together for years, like family with no other health care experience, therefore they lack knowledge & experience. Cut throat personalities, gossip, drama. High turn over. Low pay versus elsewhere. Can be unethical in the lack of compliance of how information is managed for the practice, they need training in that area but lack humility to pursue methods to improve. Overall the practice lacks humility and can be arrogant in how they treat new comers with vast experience, how they treat vendors. Hence, this causes people to leave. Search for treatment and a job at larger, better providers. This suggestion is honest.

While I had a wonderful and supportive supervisor, my experience with the HR department and several team members was disappointing. I encountered bullying and harassment from a coworker whose behavior became detrimental to my mental health. Despite clearly explaining multiple times that the issue was this coworker’s conduct, HR did not address the situation directly. Instead, I was pushed into obtaining work accommodations, which felt like a way of avoiding accountability rather than resolving the problem.

The coworker was consistently rude, belittling, and dismissive, even though I brought four years of medical industry experience to the role. Overall, the lack of compassion, professionalism, and meaningful support from HR and certain team members created an unsustainable work environment, which overshadowed the positive relationship I had with my supervisor.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The pay is competitive, the benefits are good,, the people are friendly, and our office manager actually accomplishes what she says that the she will do.  Security is important to them with our best interests at heart.  OC is continually educating to assure the best for our patients.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Drug shortages.  But like anything else, we have succeeded in having enough for out patients to get us through and effectively treat our patients.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A broad variety.  It keeps it interesting that way.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Pleasant.  We all work hard, fast and furious, but at the same time, we all get along great and in my opinion, like a well oiled wheel.

Each day is filled with a balance of learning and growing your skills. I am a new hire, but I can already see what potential they want to help me achieve. Management of any level is always there to help or push for change to make every aspect of their business better. The employees all seem to have many years and dedicate themselves to the company because they are well taken care of and care for the work they are doing. A difficult part is getting a feel for the atmosphere since I am visiting other offices/sites, but with being new that is expected and I will adjust on own over time. I enjoy the wide variety of backgrounds and people involved in this company and how well they work with each other to make anyone feel welcomed and able to achieve any aspiration.

Dr Campos is an amazing doctor and has great intentions for his company. Overall everyone treats patients with respect and care. Management is basically people who have been with the company for years and don’t really know how to lead. They don’t communicate with each other or listen to employees suggestions to help the work flow easier. They don’t follow through on employee perks which is really not much to begin with and insurance is expensive . The work load is way more than they describe and you definitely do more than what’s in your delegated role. The departments have poor communication with each other which makes things harder as well.

None , this company environment is Toxic the turnover rate is ridiculous. It’s not about the patients it’s about MONEY

The lack of knowledge and support

It’s not about quality of work it’s all about how fast you push it out . Miss information lack of customer assistance 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working with patients handling the front end and dealing with leadership that has no clue of what’s going on

Check in receptionist for a while, I started out at their St. Joseph's location then floated from there to Park Plaza then St. Luke's. I finally ended up at the main Memorial location.  I did get to move up to check out, but with a .33 cent raise.  Management at the time was terrible.  Tons of work, little pay, high-stress job.
The only good part of this job were the patients.  They become your best friends.  The doctors were also very nice as well as most of the medial assistants.  Nurses were always stressed because of workload.

Typical work day is busy fact-paced patient care plus checking phn messages/faxes and tons of emails daily. This is and ideal position for a nurse who has lots of Chemo experience and clinic because you will be expected to come in and pick up fairly quickly, despite them saying otherwise. If your new to Infusion nurse and or clinic settings, you may be greatly overwhelmed.

Most of my days was overseeing the work ethics of receptionists as they answered phones or scheduled appointments.

What I learned.... Cancer is a painful disease.

The hardest part of the job...motivating employees to come to work everyday.

The most enjoyable part of the job... Being assertive and successful with OSHA regulations in the office.  Teaching others to better their positions.

Great company bad employees .Terrible management..lots of unfair staff . No cication.Very unreliable staff.Incompedent people nurses and Medical assistants make very extreme mistakes .They cover their errors up . poor management .The nurses give patients wrong medications and they are coverinh it up. BAD PATIIENT CARE.The lab makes severe errors with patients blood very poor management with this company. DON'T WORK HERE OR TAKE YOUR FAMILY THEIR FOR CARE....
