During the interview they asked if I was OK with working an occasional Saturday. That was misleading manipulation, I worked every Saturday, 6 days a week for almost a year. Then they decided they wanted to work 12 hour shifts (I didn't sign up for that) with a rotating schedule every week. One week you work 2 days then the next week you work a 5 day week (12hr shitfs). They also decided to have us do sanitation once a week. Soaking wet every other week. English is not the first language which makes it hard to communicate and get things done. They continuously add more and more to your plate. They have meetings every day as well as training that you have to do over and over. After working 12 hours you'll have to spend 30 minutes training. They don't give a dang about your physical health. Even though Sunday is sanitation day sometimes they try to squeeze a couple hours of operation in. Takes about an hour just to get started so you can turn right around and stop. Complete waste of time and a lot more work for you. Machines don't work right, they're old and beat up but you should make a miracle happen anyway. The pay is good but you will have no life and you will age quickly. Just look around at your coworkers. I was so happy at first but then they added 12 hour shifts. Who wants to work all day?

  These are but a few of the words to best describe Oberto aka Oberto Brands. this company has only brought despair and sadness to its employees (taking away holidays, bonuses, and weekends. Worst of all it has silenced the voice of its workers, who have not only tried to bring happiness and success to this company and in return to themselves. It has left these amazing employees in the dark with no hope or chance of success or accomplishment. it has created a rift between employees and management, with management no longer caring about its employees. honestly when i wrote this i was angry... but now all i feel is sadness. This company could have been great. It could have thrived... But like so many things in life Greed stole their soul. Maybe someday they'll follow their own company motto '' YOU GET OUT WHAT YOU PUT IN ''. I wish my fellow employees’ luck, because everybody I've personally talked to is looking for a new job, Myself included. The best part about Oberto is the people I get to work with. The worst part is watching them wilt away from being overworked.
By the way if you have an interview for some god-awful reason, and they ask can you work occasional Saturdays... They mean every Saturday.

Maintenance manager didnt have our backs. He was a push over and we paid for it. We were not aloud in the shop unless we were working on a supervisor approved project because we had to babysit the incompetent operators. Either the maintenance budget was non existant or the manager cared more about his bonus metrics then keeping the plant running proficiently. We used scrap metal for fabrication, shop tools came from craigslist and were in disrepair, PR for new tools were denied 100% of the time, in fact, all purchase requests were denied unless it was a machine emergency and even than we had to justify why we were submitting that PR.
As for the daily routine of maintenance personnel,  in essence,  we were glorified operators.  We spent more time making operator level adjustments than anything else. The safety manager was only seen on the production floor when he was showing new recruits around. There was no anonymous  reporting system. He did teach the red tag class and i have to say, he had no idea what he was  talking about. 
Overall, its a dangerous place to work and they will definitely low ball your wages in negotiations.

Manager in the store only cared about sales numbers. Never gave positive feedback or encouraging comments.. 
During COVID for a few months we got an extra 100$ per month for hazard pay but then they upgraded the warehouse/factory after some COVID deaths and stopped paying hazard pay even though the store fronts were not updated for several months after and even then were barely doing the minimum safety measures. 
Rude customers often try to scheme free items and argue with you. 
Factory work involves leaning over machinery for hours on end. The work is assigned by seniority so if you're new you have to work at the worst, most dangerous machines.
The factory does listen to constructive criticism about the work though and improves its stations when it can.

I was excited to start working at oberto.
I enjoy the fast-paced work environment, I enjoy learning the ways to operate the machines. I however find it very irritating that as an English-speaking individual I'm being trained by someone that has very little English speaking capabilities. I've brought this up to the leads and get stuck with somebody that speaks words in English then the previous trainer. They said at the interview that you would work occasional Saturdays, however talking to other floor personnel, I find this not to be true. Overall though the job is really simple. As an operator he basically push a few buttons, and help the two to three other individuals on the line what their job duties.

Some management (supervisors) especially the old timers need to be trained on how to handle and deal with people. They should learn how to treat others with dignity and respect. Keep in mind that working as a team is better than trying to blame others and pulling them down. The work environment must be improved also to have a better work relationship and create positivity and good vibes within the department.
Encourage humbleness and open minded in the supervisory level especially in QA department.

Working for oberto means that working every Saturday is mandatory. If you are white, you get treated like garbage because there's maybe 2 or 3 white people working the floor of over 150 people. I was trained as a machine operator by a Vietnamese gentleman that spoke a handful of English and nothing made sense. There is no work life balance what so ever. Working Monday thru Saturday 130pm-1030pm leaves little to no room for any sort of life. Only perks about the place is the free gym located on site and the unlimited free beef jerky you can get.

It not worth the effort to work as a temporary employee because they rarely hire on people unless you're a machine operator. Machine Operator training is hard due to the fact that people don't care and are scared you'll take their position since they have been there for years. You can try a different position when an opportunity presents itself with no experience and on the job training.

They don't care for the employees you can get fire if you don't stay for overtime because overtime is mandatory 
You can get fire for being late even if it isthe company's fault for not having enough parking space.

paying attention to things around you with taking on many job task,with high temp and quick thinking....learned how to take temps,check temp,qa,cleaning and mixing chimicals wit proper handling of them.learning how to work together as a team is a aset and a must in this job.to to keep up with all the houses and keep qa and watch over anyone i am intrusted to teach and still do my job,the same as four man crew could with the same qa, is what i strive for.
