My day is 6am-to 6pm. I dress, bathe, and assist residents with activities of daily living.

I have learned to be more patient with people.

Management is very well organized and professional.

The hardest part of my day is trying to multitask to get everything and everyone taken care of.

The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing residents go home when there therapy is complete. And getting thanked by family members and residents of all my heard work.

Love working here. My time I worked here has been very memorable and fun experience. Very large facility which is great because you can gain experience in almost any health care setting. I really enjoyed floating the building because I was able to get to know more staff and residents. Made the job a little easier when you knew everyone.

great  place to work. treated like family. felt as though I had worked there all my working career.everyone friendly, hepfull. would recommend Ohio Valley to anyone staff or resident. The facility was super clean. We always had the necessary material(bandaids etc) never ran short on anything.  Would sometimes come in on my day off just to visit everyone, staff and residents.

 Bed Changes,Bathes,Repositioning, every 2 hours, Dressing, and undressing,Feeding,Ambulating. They trained me very well. Great management, hardest part might have been leaving just couldn't keep my grades up working there. I loved working with the patients.   


Would spend time with residents, playing games and just talking to them. I learned better skills with people and how to be more patient. Everything was run smoothly and the people that worked there were great. The hardest part of the volunteer service was dealing with residents who would not cooperate. The whole experience was enjoyable.

Work place was not employee friendly.  Was shown & explained about floor and when did not remember how to do something 3-6 mos later was belittled.  Could not go to supervisor with concerns.  Had clicks and if you were not part of a group you did not get help.

The assisted living area is beautiful. The resident apartments are spacious with a large dining area.  Clients very friendly and always appreciative. As a nurse I'm was there for med administration and support. It was a great place to work for the brief period if time I was able to return to work.

Dont do it! Worst place I have ever worked in my life. The drama and the poor managementl. Pay is horrible. Lots of favoritism and lots of back stabbing. My advice....keep looking and find ANYWHERE else to work. 

Its been about 3 years since I worked there but when I left you were constantly short staff and still required to do more work. Offen times you were pulled from the longterm floors to the the "money making" floors leaving the bed ridden resident have short staff.

I like working at OVM, sense the Pandemic, nobody wants to work and we’re ALWAYS short staffed. That makes it hard for my position because I have to pick up everyone’s slack. Besides that, OVM is an awesome place to work!
