Horrible upper management, only interested in the bottom line. Mismanaged the budget and then the employees and residents pay for it.
They have 0 regard for employees well being. If they seam to.. it is only a lie. The value system were from the owners is great, but means nothing to the CEO. She infiltrates from the top down and creates a toxic environment. You can feel the distrust and toxic gloom all the way to the floor. Residents feel it. I feel so sad for them and their families. 

Management are bullies and this is not a new issue. 
Management loves to set you up for failure by not communicating then expects you to know how to respond to situations you never encountered before. Then if you don't do the expectations correctly they will yell at you, in front of others, even though it isn't your fault because they never communicated things with you. One day, they might tell you to handle a situation certain way, but the next day they expect a different solution. They will not tell you this, then get angry when you're just trying to do what you're told and write you up for doing what you were told.  Very wishy washy decisions made. No clear direction. Several very good and high quality staff quit. Very high turn over which is not good for residents.

I've had the privilege of working for this Senior Living Company, and what truly sets it apart is how deeply it lives its core and service values-not just in words, but in action. Leadership prioritizes respect, compassion, and excellence, creating an environment where both residents and team members feel valued and supported.

On top of that, the company is compassionate about giving back and actively supporting the community and partnerships that reflect its mission.
If you're looking for a place that feels more than just a job- where people truly care, where values are honored, and where you can both personally and professionally grow-this is it.   

There is a high turnover rate between employees and management. This causes confusion and massive changes constantly between residents, employees, families, and the workplace itself. The job is stressful, and management takes advantage of power. Promises seem to never be kept, and words can never be trusted. Told one thing, while another is acted out by management. Residents are often upset. Seen many good employees go, while seeing many (extremely) poor employees hired and cause problems. You never know what will happen next. Handbook has important notes for the company, but doesn’t include anything about unemployment, payment after, or any details of what happens once you become unemployed (by choice and by firing). I do not recommend to others. 

I started here some years ago and i was a CNA and now I'm at CMA and i am working to become an LPN and i plan to continue to work here. I have had a positive experience and that's why i continue to stay. I have felt very supported by my manager, and she even helped me when i was nervous about taking my CMA class and gave me reinsurance i have this and i indeed did have this and i love being a CMA and I'm excited to become a nurse. I love our residents, i can have a day i feel down for my own personal reasons and i don't let it show but the residents are so loving and uplift me and have become my additional grandparents. I like hoe well we work together to take care of our residents and i like that the managers are uplifting.

Learn alot from my experience with Omega Senior Living. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with terrible leaders who thought the were leaders, but really didn't know what leadership means.  There is no integrity with leadership.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not great, it was all talk and no action.  They wanted everyone to think the culture as exceptional.  There was nothing further from the truth. 
  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Meeting after meeting that could have been an emails.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I very much loved my time with Omega Senior Living. Great supportive environment, with many opportunities to stretch and grow as a leader. I experienced great mentorship while I was there.

Dealing with the unexpected, however, support was just a phone call away.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Omega preaches and practices a family like environment. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Never the same day twice. Work day goes by quickly.

I work a standard 8–5 in-office role at the home office, and no two days are the same. While I’m new to the senior living industry, I’ve felt supported every step of the way as I learn the ropes.

The team is open to new ideas and always provides thoughtful feedback, which keeps me motivated and growing. The biggest challenge has just been adjusting to a new field, but the collaborative culture and solid work/life balance have made the transition easier.

This is the worst company I’ve came across in over 32 years of being in healthcare. As an Executive Director I spent almost all of my time working the floor taking care of residents instead of actually doing what I was hired to do, thanks to mid and top level mismanagement and lack of support. On average, I worked 85 hours per week. My highest hours of work in a week was 103.75. So if you don’t want support, a work/life balance and employees with a work ethic, by all means, choose omega. 

A typical day was to help patients get baths some of which did not get baths due to laziness. Help serve and feed patients meals. Support independence. Encourage socialization and personal interests.  The hardest part of the job was getting clarity from other staff on responsibility.  The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing everyone of the clients enjoying themselves and visiting family.
Workplace culture was chaos and a picking order that seemed dog eat dog.

I have been a CNA for 4 years and out of all the jobs I have had, this is defiantly my favorite. The nursing staff really works together, and I love our little team! This is the cleanest community i have worked in, smells nice and my big thing is if carpet is gross i can't work there and here its always clean! The managers are really nice and easy to talk to. The residents i just love soo much and i love when i get a chance to go to activities with them! I love to see them have fun! Plus, i love crafting!
