Although there are a hand full of nice hard working people at Corporate it’s sad that most people there are very childish and High School like. There’s a lot of favoritism, gossip and unfortunately it’s throughout the whole panel. No one is allowed to even speak to the board of directors period and if you do best believe you will get in trouble. When did we become too good to talk to one another despite our title? This has so much to do with the drop in morale here and most places. Hard workers are hard to come by but companies do not care. What’s worse is companies want more and more money but refuse to treat their workers good. When numbers come back low they are upset and sweep it under the rug and act like they don’t see anything. Companies need to be clear- clean- fair- and across the board consistent in everything and maybe that morale with be higher but these days … it would take a good hearted CEO who’s willing to make that sacrifice to get in there and seal off problems. It’s too much though and apparently going on vacations and buying expensive vehicles is worth more if their time.

I worked at north Chester location in Bakersfield and brimhall, brimhall was amazing and laid back, upon moving to north Chester things were completely different. The girls were toxic and micromanagers. I was warned prior to moving to N. Chester that the girls were not easy to get along with and they were right, they were all high strung and rude. They weren’t open to hearing different perspectives and go as far as telling a manager lies about your work if you don’t do things the exact same as them. When working with Omni be selective about your location and never work at n. Chester. Most of the girls there are in their late 40s and act like it’s high school. The MA2s at north Chester were ironically the only breath of fresh air and I enjoyed working with them. Everyone else lower thinks they are the big bosses. Worst experience ever working with these women I can’t explain it enough. 

The company has gotten better with the work-life balance atmosphere and it shows. At clinics, you'll encounter the most hard working and the most welcoming individuals. 

"The admin department is a little special", is what I've heard said multiple times from different departments. If you pay close attention to the office of the ceo, you'll start to notice it; they receive way too much credit and recognition for barely meeting expectations, they get yearly promotions, and everything is pretty much given to them which allows them to pretty much excel in their position without encountering any barriers. Did I forgot to mention that they're they only department who gets to work full-time remotely. The leaders in the admin department are white- GO FIGURE.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Co workers are not the best team players and management doesn’t address the animosity and the lack of teamwork. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is not the best, lack of management.  There needs to be a supervisor at every site, in order for things to run smooth and address issues. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
From the time you start to the end of your shift it’s all about encounters, it’s not about providing quality care for the patients. Patients want treatment, get out of pain , they deserve to receive emergency palliative treatment, isn’t that what an FQHC is??

Pharmacy Director has poor management skills.  He expects way too much in 8 hours. Its always too busy to take a break, giving patients a 15 minute tiime frame for prescriptions to be ready and rarely are they done due to the high volume of prescriptions, call volume, assigned side tasks, which results in angry patients wanting their meds transferred to another pharmacy.

Training - Good luck with that.  You basically teach yourself through trial and error and then get yelled at or written up by management if something was wrong.

While working here I had the worst experience ever I was here as front office clerk for the Fresno location they don’t pay you enough and what they don’t tell you as an foc you DONT get raises you get bonuses on how much patients you check in and how much co payments you take once your hired you stay at that pay I was there almost 1yr and I couldn’t take it there is so much favoritism at this place and what’s worse they have allowed a manager to keep their job after being in trouble with the law in Fresno with a huge bust that recently happened. I don’t agree on them allowing this person to keep their job but they still have this person there

The community we served was the best part

Management was not knowledgeable. We had to figure out the answers on our own when helping a patient as managers didn’t have a clue as to what they were doing

Stressful. A lot of competition and looked down. Very hostile from the beginning.

you receive plenty of training and cross training on other areas. management works with your home life and is understanding when needing time off. there is no drama here. basically everyone gets along. the pay is average for the position but you get pretty big incentives and bonuses especially when you put the work in. there is definitely room to advance and grow if you actually try. you get good benefits here. don't really have anything negative to say. 

Upper management only cares about themselves. Have little regards to the people who actually come into work and make the business run. Salary increases only happen for the directors and above. Starting pay is a joke. They will pay you minimum wage and expect years of experience. Anyone who respects themselves should turn around and keep looking. They will not grow you here. Upper management is only threatened by anyone with any real skill. Sad since this is a non profit and the executives show little regard to their employees who are barely making ends meet. 

Unfortunately the registered dental assistants are expected to do so much for this company and have so many patients per day. The work load does not match the pay. Your registered dental assistants should be making at least $22 -$25 per hour. Their license means nothing to Omni, a Dental assistant makes more then some Registered Dental assistants which is unacceptable. They need to pay better so we can stop loosing all our great workers. We work so hard for a company that doesn’t value us and the inflation and cost of living. We are drowning here. We work for minimum pay. So unfortunate.
