Despite only working with the company for 4 months as an intern, I grew as an individual. The experiences I gained during my brief time greatly impacted me in a positive way. The staff is so helpful and communicates openly. Any mistakes made are used as learning points, not punishments. This company's work culture serves as a true example for local and international businesses and non-profits. I highly recommend the company.

I am an intern so I don't get any benefits nor might not get a job after my internship since they are non- profit organization. The people who I worked with are very nice and very friendly. I have full respect of the organization and I like how they do medical missions. Hardest part of the job is it is a unpaid training, it would be nice if it was because some companies they wanted to hire someone with paid experience. I enjoy my job because I am learning new stuff and would like to stay if a position will open up.

Upper level management especially in development

High school mean girls run the show, they promote their friends especially as MGOS 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It was always very Stressful never truly knowing what was coming next.

I have 4 days with the dentists from Operation Smile. I have gathered a few more students to join as a group and performed various fundraising activities to help the children in remote areas, near the organization mission's site. the most enjoyable part of this medical volunteer was I get to improve my socialize communication skill, get to know more people, helping the children and explore new places.

Long hours in the hospital during the time you are there.

Amazing culture of acceptance. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Volunteer work. It could be anything at anytime.

loved working there- but do not expect to get paid for your experience or time you worked there. There are great benefits and fun internal activities and a great gym. not much room for growth or opportunity. never be afraid to reach out to other departments you are interested in joining- yes there will be negative talk around the office, but dont let that set you back on your career goals.

Operation Smile is a great place to work if you want to feel like the work you do makes a difference. The mission is very meaningful, and it’s rewarding to know you’re helping support something bigger than yourself. The team is supportive, and I’ve learned a lot during my time here. Like any nonprofit, things can get busy and resources are stretched, but overall it’s been a positive and fulfilling experience!

gained a lot of life and work experience with operation smile.  I'm still connected to quite a few old employees.  Got to travel in and out of country and was promoted to a hire position throughout my 10yrs.  I miss the President and his wife they were great people to work with.

•	Interviewed families in Mexico for a study on the genetic/environmental etiology of cleft lip and palate
•	Used Qualtrics online data analysis software to import information from field interviews for statistical analysis, as well as for survey creation for each new population; Collected samples, handled sensitive medical information

Operation Smile is a great place to work. Especially for a new developer. They offer great benefits and are very flexible. They have a great work life balance. Since they are not specifically a tech company there is not very much room to learn the newest technologies. That I would say is the biggest downfall.
