I have been with this company about a month and a half and already I dread going to work. When I interviewed for the position it seemed like a great fit for me! When the manager was describing the job it sounded amazing, was told there was so many different opportunities for advancement within the company. When telling me about the schedule I had asked if it was possible to work four ten hour days. Was told after my training was completed I would work Sunday-Wednesday 10am-8pm. It was honestly too good to be true! With the idea in my head that I would truly be helping patients daily, making a difference in their day, working side by side with pharmacist, nurses and pharmacy techs to insure each patient received the best service, that I would have so many career paths to take, a schedule that I’ve waited forever to have I couldn’t wait to start! My first day I was shown to my desk and told to wait there until the manager was able to show me around. I was in a room with only two other people that didn’t even look up when I walked into the room. When I toured the building I got half smiles from everyone and a few dirty looks but I didn’t let that bother me. Looked through the training materials and thought this couldn’t be it!! But it was. It was the companies basic rules, policies and their mission statement. A few videos to watch about the basic functions of the program you will use and that’s it. I kept an open mind and thought the next day I’ll have more trainings, people will be in a better mood. I was so wrong. After listening to calls for a few days and then taking calls for a few days I was on the phone by myself only a week and a half after starting. Since I completed my training I asked about my schedule we discussed, unfortunately someone was on vacation so we had to hold off on that. Since I learned just enough to be able to answer the phones and transfer calls I reached out to other employees that had been there a long time. Tried to start conversation, learn about the people I was working with. All of them were so cold towards me, seemed annoyed I even spoke to them. I decided to try a different approach, asked an employee that has been with the company for 13 years if she could teach me how to do faxes since there wasn’t any training videos on faxes and the documents they had were poorly written and hard to follow. Rudely she told me no, that she only had 30 minutes of training and only knows how to handle one type of fax. Asked to learn referrals, was told I would have to wait until my manger got me access to the systems. It was week three and that’s when I realized the employees talked, they actually talked a lot! Just refused to talk to me. The only time they did talk to me was to let me know I made an error. Instead of coming to my desk to tell me or send an email they would announce it so everyone in the room would know. Also they wouldn’t tell me my error, show me the proper way it should have been done or even attempt to help me fix it. On multiple occasions I had called the wrong person on call, I had mixed up my branch locations somehow. The person on call would call back in and tell someone what I had done. Instead of finding out the right person to call so the patient didn’t have to wait longer they would wait 30 minutes for me to come back from lunch to make sure they called me out on it. Any chance they had to call me out for anything they would. Even would talk bad about me to patients and the on call employee’s, telling them that I made mistakes, didn’t know how to do my job, that I was young and just didn’t get it. At night when the manager would be on lunch they would talk across the room to one another while I was the only person taking calls, would listen to me talking to patients and the on call staff and laugh at me. When this was brought to the directors attention all he did was move them all closer together, all the new employees on one side and all the older employees on the other. I would sit there and have to listen to them talk horrible about me like I wasn’t just five feet away. One day there was an issue company wide and one of the employees asked the director how to do something since I had the same issue the day before I told them I knew how to resolve it. Since the director didn’t know how to he asked if I would show that employee. Happy to help them I went to their desk just to be told to go away being told they would rather struggle then allow me to help them. I looked at the bright side, soon I would only have four days to be there. Unfortunately that also wasn’t true. Was told they needed to train someone else before I did four ten hour days, that I wouldn’t be working Sunday-Wednesday 10-8 like promised either. They told me once they were finished training the new employee I would be working Thursday-Sunday 1pm-11pm. The day I sat in the parking lot and cried before I went inside to start my shift I realized it was never going to get better. That the older employees would continue to make me feel horrible about myself and nothing would be done about it, I would never be properly trained on anything, my schedule would never be as it was promised, and there is absolutely no opportunities for advancement. 
Just what I’ve experienced. It’s not the patients or hospitals that make the job difficult, it’s the employees treating every new person like trash, the horrible training, and the empty promises they made just so you would become an employee. I wouldn’t recommend this job to my worst enemy.

I was hired as a compounding technician, only to be told the day before my start date (and after I left my former employer) that I would be staging instead. It was a couple months before I was compounding full time and that was only because I took it upon myself to reposition myself. After I received zero training and zero help from management, I relied on my equals to help me do the necessary training and qualifications to be able to operate standard procedures. There were multiple instances I had to stand up for myself because I was being made to make hazardous meds and use hazardous chemicals without the proper ventilators that by law they are required to provide. The lies continued as I was forced into a schedule that did not work for my family in spite of my protests. I began looking for employment elsewhere but was guaranteed the opening shift if I stayed, which was ideal for my family’s schedule. Within a couple months they were threatening to take the position from me and saying it was never guaranteed, but only a trial basis, which was a bold lie. Before this point I had already been led to believe that my job was stable and reliable and my husband and I had gotten pregnant, so I was limited as far as looking for employment elsewhere, and my managers played that to their advantage. They also never once made any kind of adjustments for me while I was pregnant. I was still asked to make chemo’s and hazardous medications, clean with hazardous chemicals and work with hazardous wastes, and was still required to lift and carry heavy bulky bins containing medications over 40 pounds multiple times a day. I was also made to be a representative when we were audited due to my increased skill and accuracy level, which was extremely stressful. I did not make a single mistake and was told it would be reflected on my annual evaluation. I received a $0.20 raise. TWENTY. CENTS. This was the literal lowest option they could have given me, and I was told that the reason was that I was not working fast enough. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I was experiencing flu like symptoms. Management did not want me to take any time off, so I went to an urgent treatment center on my lunch break one day to rule out flu and clear my conscious from the idea that I was potentially infecting patients. Management contacted me on my way back to work to tell me that corporate office had declared that anyone with symptoms should not be permitted to return to work for 14 days, but that they would allow it (because no in house HR) when my symptoms were gone and I had been cleared medically. Before I could return to work, school’s were closed and I had to stay home with my children to homeschool and keep them. Management did not help me whatsoever. They were extremely hard to get in touch with. I was not receiving any kind of pay because they quickly dodged anything the federal government put into place to help employees effected from the pandemic. They pressured me to use medical leave that would result in losing my maternity leave. After carefully weighing out my options as long as I could I had to resign. They had overnighted me a letter to my house stating I had less than 24 hours to quit or successfully apply and qualify for leave (which was impossible) before I was going to be considered to have abandoned my position. I still have not received my remaining PTO balance. I had to ask a coworker to bring me my belongings because management was unresponsive. This would all be enough on its own, but there’s more reasons than just to avoid working here. Please don’t allow your loved ones to be a victim. They’re whole philosophy is to have their patients become completely medically dependent on them. They convince them they’ll die if they aren’t on all of these therapies. The truth is they’re building the dependencies and causing new ones to counteract the negative effects of the first ones. It’s a never ending cycle. So you spend the last 5-10 years of your life spending thousands a day for this stuff, when your body would likely have thrived better on alternative therapies anyway, while you lay in a hospital bed in your living room waiting to die and being convinced it’s better than dying in a hospital. They don’t want you to die, but they want to kill you just enough that you have to remain on the PIC line so they can profit a fortune from you and your insurance until you do croak. Not to mention in my time there the nurses actually administered a patient’s medication to the wrong patient. It’s so obviously quantity over quality. They’re completely privately owned. They’re not saving lives. They’re merely profiting from the dependencies they create. I’m honestly ashamed I didn’t allow myself to see it sooner.

I will say that I appreciated the work life balance aspect of this place because I could clock in, do my job and clock out and go home, however, the culture here was terrible. The managers treated you like a number and gave off the “one write up and you’re gone” vibe. They didn’t recognize the hardworking individuals, rather, they praised individuals whom they thought it would be beneficial to be in the good graces of… kind of like wanting to be part of “the cool kids.” Weird, no?
There is a sense of chaos in management- one manager will yell you to do one thing and another manager will tell you to do something completely different which shows they do not communicate amongst themselves. You will always be in trouble though- even if it’s not your fault, or even if you actually did nothing wrong. One manager in particular has a tendency to reprimand staff for HER errors and most are afraid to speak up/don’t know enough to speak up. 
The ones that do speak up tend to be singled out and if they don’t have tough skin they eventually leave. 
Additionally, it seems they promote based on who will be the most compliant for projects, not on merit. They value people that will not question or speak up against anything management says.  That being said, some supervisors were promoted to positions that they are not qualified for and it shows and kills morale among staff. Supervisors should be helpful as well as professional, yet some don’t have either skill. The fault might not be their own, it might be that management allows bad behavior (as long as it fits their agenda) and does not train their supervisors to be proper supervisors. 
Turnover is incredibly high which is not surprising given how employees are treated. This also puts an extra strain on current staff who are “seasoned” and need to keep constantly training newbies. 
Their phone system drops calls without notifying the call recipients and makes it look like the individual doesn’t pick up the phone when in reality it’s a system glitch. 
Like any other healthcare company- it’s all about the numbers and revenue, not the patients and certainly not about its employees. 
They had managers that greatly abused their power and were allowed to create a hostile environment with no repercussions. After numerous complaints from numerous staff members bringing situations to management about inappropriate behavior, inappropriate language, yelling, slamming doors and to put plainly- bullying,  HR finally stepped in, but not after much damage was done. I think staff that was present at that time is still traumatized from those experiences. Current managers that were present during that time are as fault as well because they allowed it to happen and swept it all under the rug, and also participated in the bullying by always taking the side of the abuser because they were scared to speak up against them. 
Insurance isn’t that great and it’s quite costly. 
I am incredibly disappointed in the company and in the leadership. Do better for your people that work so hard for you, and maybe you will stop losing amazing staff members. 

BioScrip location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. To be warned... No one will tell you about the horrifying traffic you may encounter when it’s time for you to get off. The turn over rate is extremely high. The people who want to make the company successful are fired or basically hang on until they find employment elsewhere. This particular location is filled with cliques, gossip, disorganization, rumors, low moral, and poor staffing.  The people who have been working there for years, are the people that continue to keep this company location dysfunctional.  The majority does not want to change and if your the minority, you can see your way to the exit door.  It is my personal belief, the company is able to function this way because no one at the corporate level question their decisions and if they are, the employee making the final decisions have been able to point the blame and hide their faults by manipulating and/or playing the blame game on innocent employees.   During business and after hours, Non management employees have access to call and gossip with upper management on a day to day and weekend basis. There is no respect for your family life.  So employees tend to bring their children to work.  You may meet employees who brag about how they have parties and have entertained the kids at work over the years during snow in, inclement weather, school breaks, inventory, and the many instances when they cannot get off at their scheduled or appropriate time. At first, it may seem like employees are just dedicated, but the root of the problem is actually due to poor management.  After much thought and observation it is obvious this location has been doing the same thing over and over again for years, expecting different results. If you are a individual that may be personally motivated by a poor work environment, this is the perfect place for you.  This was just my experience at this particular location. I can’t speak for other locations. The company has much potential but the entire Baton Rouge, location is in dire need of a complete employee overhaul. While they have lost a phenomenal amount of great employees during my employment, it was heartbreaking.  Currently, the NASDAQ shows the company stock is $2.72. Perhaps it may reach $3.00 by the closing bell. Had I truly taken the time to look at the company reviews and their poor stock, I would have seen the tell tale signs.  I hope this information may help anyone that may be interested in working or investing anything with this company. If you have a medical license and took the time to read this, look elsewhere, I’m sure someone else would love to have you!!!!!! Don’t take the bait...!!!!!

The turn around rate at the Addison office shocked me at first once on boarded. Now I understand why. First this management team from manager down to team leaders are horrible. Lack of communication and proper training. The trainer she is amazing. She helped when she could be she was bombarded with constantly having to teach new hires because of the turn over rate. However once on the floor the management team does not acknowledge you. They walk past you and act like there is a problem if you come to them for anything. Some of the supervisors lack communication or refused to come speak to your team. Especially if the supervisor was just covering for your team in the absence or termination of another supervisor. I had a supervisor make an attempt to make me look bad by stating I did not communicate with her at all when she couldn’t refer or keep up with her emails. She never apologized for her short comings on a consistent basis. 

Let’s speak on the work itself. First and foremost the company under went a restructure. So if you were billing or collecting for a certain payer you want to know what the training was? Ask the previous biller or collector who was also still in the dark about how to work the payer. So it’s he blind leading the blind... then the expectation is to have the claims down when they were so far behind anyways.  

This company treats their workers like slaves... so if you want to be stressed all of the time trying to meet deadlines yet still do not have the accurate information then this is the perfect place for you. Never have I worked for a company that I couldn’t even think of one positive thing to post. The way the temporary people are treated is even worse. 

Most temps are held on to for MONTHS. Then let go before they can gather their things or even have the common decency to let them know that this maybe their last week so they can be prepared. As I stated their management team lacks communication and then come up with bogus reasons on why a person is let go. So I am not seeing this company changing of Lee does not get tough on his management team about fairness, proper training of the staff and management equites. Hopefully after the merger a better management team will shine thru from the other company and show the current ones how to manage effectively and groom employees for success and growth within the company.

Plymouth Mtg office is in complete chaos.  You will be harassed by email and text message all day long, including the minute you get home  after your day 'ends'--which it never does.This job will own you  You are told at your interview that you will be on call once a month, but you are on call once a week, plus one weekend a month--do the math on that one; plus, on call is 24 straight hours and you work that day and the day after, so your driving  and doing infusions on no sleep does not seem to be a safety issue to Option Care.  There is absolutely no training (no learning lab for learning how to use the infusion devices or do the appropriate paperwork for the different types of visits), so get used to youtube-ing videos on how to work the various infusion pumps.  Hopefully, you will get friendly with a nice nurse who will help you out as much as they can, but they are busy, too.  There is no report given and you walk into a lot of surprises at home site visits, and supplies are never delivered accurately.  You will be sent to wrong addresses because they don't update info in the system.  You will work some days and not the next, so don't count on a steady paycheck.  You will have your schedule changed 5 pm the night before because the per diems are belly aching about not getting enough hours so they take yours to give to them.  They will definitely dump the worst calls on the new people and never send you to the same patients twice even when those patients really like you, but the longer term nurses keep the same patients--what a way to build relationships with the patients!  You will drive all over, not in the consolidated area they promise you at your interview.  I was sent from Warrington to Langhorne  in one day, and ended it in North Philly.  Just a ridiculous place to work, and management is the main problem.  Sadly, they are missing out on a lot of great infusion nurses by not training them properly and forcing them out of the field. The computer program for documenting your mileage and hours is ludicrous and the 'training' for it even worse--and this will be your worse nightmare in terms of time spent and constant text messages from the office manager about 'get your time in' even though it's 5pm and you just want to unwind and eat your dinner because you didn't have a second to eat anything during your day. You are expected to call all of your patients the night before the visit, and get paid for a 1/2 hour to do this, but it cuts into your personal time at home as many of the patients are not home, so you are making phone calls throughout your night until you get in contact with all of them.  This job OWNS you.  You will have no life of your own.  Just stay where you are!

I work in the reimbursement center.  I am very happy here.  It is fast paced, busy, and can at times be stressful.  But for me personally I thrive in this type of environment. Management is aware of this and do find ways to alleviate the stress being a water balloon fight or a picnic.  We are a company that has recently been restructured.  There have been offices closed and relocated but these changes were necessary for the company to grow and remain relevant as this niche in healthcare evolves.  When I read some of the reviews I find that they do not reflect  the reasons for the layoffs.  There was sub par work coming out of some of the branches and divisions, some were not profitable or were too close to another branch to cause competition between them leaving both unprofitable.  Layoffs are never pleasant but are a fact of our country’s employment culture.  When hired I was advised of the challenges facing the “new” company.  Was advised of more personnel changes, changes in procedures and protocols, but I was also told that as the company rebounds we will see benefits that were taken away given back salaries would improve and there would be room for growth and advancement.  We are already seeing that the changes are improving our bottom line.  New opportunities are becoming available.  Our CEO communicates with all employees (not just higher management), about major events or changes in our company and industry.  Our director makes time to meet with us a group once a week to also communicate changes that are happening or to actually do some training.  It’s not unusual to have her stop by your desk say hi and ask how you are doing.  This is a company that made hard decisions for the betterment of themselves.  But also provide quality care and services to their patients as well as provide a stable work environment that is a place you can be proud to say you are an employee of.
For so of you reading these reviews I hope that seeing things from a different prospective makes you consider joining us.  But don’t bother applying if you are not the best of the best, and aren’t willing to commit 100%.

Don't be fooled at the one star ratings I gave this horrendous company; if I could give it negative stars I would. To begin, this is not a company, it is a sham. I would love to say that they cared for patients, but they only cared to satiate their money hungry appetites. Let me digress for a moment, and relive my Christmas experience with you all: I came into work one day in December, and opened an email titled 'COOKIES.' To my surprise, management had brought us in a Christmas bonus, consisting of a petite cellophane-wrapped Cheryl's cookie. We were told that management would be delivering them to us at our desks. I talked excitedly with my coworkers who like me had been deprived of any sort of managerial award for our hard work. A short time later a supervisor came over and tossed us a cookie each on our desks like we were dogs, and they were bones (mine broke in the process). I was then given a form to sign off on that I received my cookie, and to prevent me from trying to receive another one. The cookie in question was one inch, by one inch, and fit nicely into my mouth in one plop. That was our Christmas bonus/end of year reward. To get back to the topic at hand, the company was a disaster to work for. You were told a half-day in advance if there was going to be overtime the next day: sometimes management would send out an email letting us know that we had to come in for OT the next day, when the majority of people had left for the evening. On the other hand, we HAD to give a 30 day notice when we wanted to schedule time off. If we did not, we were written up. Also, we were given NO training whatsoever. Don't mistake hyperbole when I tell you this because I assure you, we did not receive one moment of actual training. Management decided that we could learn the THREE systems on our own. The management was totally oblivious to our condition as workers, and did not like to listen to our suggestions. We were not valued as employees, and I will never work for Bio-junk again. Let Walgreens have the mess that they made because, it is going to take a good company like that to fix what Bioscrip broke.

I spent roughly a year here and it started out as sunshine and rainbows. I was getting paid more than I was in retail, so that was nice. My supervisor, who no longer is there, was pleasant enough to let me transfer departments when I found something else I liked.

That new department was great. I loved my team, the work itself was easy and fun and we all got along very well - some of the best people I've ever met. Where the problems occur is when you get front-end management involved in the affairs of my department. Front end management is so disconnected and their expectations of me and my time were completely inhumane and unreasonable. We are one of the busiest locations for Option Care, and had predominantly 2-3 technicians handling the large amount of orders expected while other sites with had 10x as many technicians according to inventory scan reports. The stress and frustration I had in this environment took a massive toll on my mental health. Front-end management had no rhyme or reason to explain what constitutes as a "same day add-on" (a delivery that was added today that HAS to go today). Every day they were adding like 30-50 ON TOP of the 80-110 we already had. We've proven on a very stressed day we can handle about 100 orders. Try to pile on more to that and you can never get ahead. The whole year was a game of cat-and-mouse trying to get ahead because the front-end team doesn't manage their workload efficiently and therefore placing a heavier stress load on the much smaller warehouse team , same cycle - "We're stressed so let's print print print, okay we got through that so let's breathe a second, repeat because you took 1 too many breaths" all while the warehouse team has to constantly press ahead in order to even stay afloat with the amount of ordering, receiving, and cleaning we have to do. I certainly didn't leave soon enough... What made it so hard to leave in the end WAS my team. I absolutely loved everyone I directly worked with. We would all be stressed but we were in it together. 

In the Patient Registration department at Option Care, the scope of work is quite limited. I experienced a significant lack of work/life balance, as the demands placed on us did not align with the compensation provided. Promotions often seemed to favor friends of the current leadership, regardless of their performance. I frequently observed that friendships were prioritized over the recognition of hardworking employees.

The leadership struggled with accepting constructive criticism and had no qualms about demeaning employees, pushing them to their limits despite multiple requests for assistance. Although they claimed to prioritize mental health, they ignored the stressful metrics imposed on us without properly evaluating the department's growth or staffing needs.

Directives were often used to rush team members, leading to errors. Training for new employees was inadequate, with individuals being thrown into their roles without proper preparation. Numerous complaints have been made about the current staff and leadership, highlighting the stress placed on employees. It seems that there is little interest in promoting and developing staff, with excuses given for the lack of opportunities for advancement. They frequently introduce new directives or process changes without adequately training staff or providing detailed training materials. Most of the time, we receive just a one-hour call, which is insufficient. Questions about these changes often go unanswered, leaving us with little information to work with.  They often state your metrics are in correlation to your annual raise however several people often get $0.20 raises which is demeaning. They often ask for feedback however, once feedback is provided if it does not align with their thoughts you are often treated differently. Many leaders within this team have been known to favorite specific employees.
