I worked with a group of very intelligent and cooperative people.  All people worked independently on their projects but communicated their results so others can learn from each other/confirm each other's finding to validate the working theory. 

My typical day was dependent on my experiments.  I planned my own experiments, and scheduled it so I may maximize my time with multitasking on various projects/data analysis and meetings.  The best part was due to good communications between the team members, it was easy to adapt to new schedules when working on larger projects that required more than just myself.

My supervisor and director were both very approachable and open to try out new ideas after my research prior and during my experiments.  However, I didn't have much association with other upper management beyond my own director.

There are a lot of people that are supervisors or managers that should not be.  Management has no clue what they are doing and the workers suffer due the management mistreating them.  The AR Supervisor is one of the worst people i have ever met.  Not sure how she has kept her job for so long.  If she was to act at any other place, she would have been fired.  About 9 people in the past 3 years have quit due to her.  The reimbursement supervisor is one that you need to watch out for as well.  If she does not like you, she will get rid of you.  If you do not agree with her 100% she will find a way to get rid of you.
This company will bring on Temps and then will keep them temping for over a year.  There needs to be a cap from HR on how long someone can temp there.  

This company needs major work before I would refer anyone to work there.

A highly competitive, overly political work environment. There is no more free food because of the gross overspending the last couple of years. 200+ people were laid off right before Christmas - great timing for those ex-employees. As you would expect in this day and age, that did not include any of the upper management. Do not expect any career development here especially now that they are in financial distress. They somehow purchased the rights to another product (Dermagraft) amidst all of this. They have a 20+ year old product and the market is figuring this out. Some days one could wonder why things are the way they are here....

Organogenesis has a great product and a strong group of core sales managers that have been with the company for over a decade.  There is a strong lack of leadership at the executive level that correlates into a very reactionary and negatively motivated group of individuals.  Many of the outside sales individuals are very professional but lack of assistance from headquarters to tackle reimbursement issues and customer service complaints keep this company from realizing the type of sales and market leading reputation the product and sales force deserves.

As a person who dedicated 5 years to this place, I'd like to say that depending on the Department, it will suck the life out of you. I worked in the same department for 3 years and transferred to expand my knowledge within the company. The environment is very high school like and people like to talk behind other's backs. It's pretty sad because the company obviously has a great product.
After I transferred, I learned quickly that other department leads were awful. I was saved by the lay-offs but when I gave my opinion on something, management didn't agree and let me go anyway. I'll be honest, it hurt. However, it was the BEST thing that ever happened to me. There are companies out there that actually care about their employees.

I have worked in the Reimbursement Department at Organogensis for 5 years and it is a fantastic company and even better department. A great team atmosphere and management has an open door policy. The company is growing rapidly and the products we support truly help our patients. It is an exciting time to be apart of such a growing company.
We work hard-goals are expected to be met. It is not a job for someone looking to just pass the time and gain a paycheck. Because we are growing we are all learning together, this may be hard for someone who isn’t able to go with the flow of the growth and understand that things are changing.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The pay is decent and the culture is very diverse.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Poor management, favoritism, not being treated fairly no room for opportunity and growth. Honestly I would say stay away from this company. They don’t care about their employees and a lot of micro management.

From my experience some people are better than other. Definitely a toxic work environment dealing with different managers and co-workers.

Calling insurance companies and verifying eligibility.

The products and working within a clinic

The management     The quality of the management at the district level

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The management level at the district level was poor.  At the national level was great and motivating.

Spent time in wound care centers actually working with Doctors.  Doctors loved us being there appreciated all

The company was generous this year giving us an extra 4 weeks of time off to use for covid. It really depends who you work for if it's good or not. Some managers really do care about you as a human being but others only care about the work and the money. Only senior management and investors profit from our success. Those doing the everyday work just keep working. Most people are very nice, which is a plus. Benefits are also pretty good.

The management is horrible and have no clue to what they are doing.  They have no leadership skills and most of them micro-manage.  Management will remind you that you are replaceable and most have no clue how to do the job that they are managing.  At least 2 people a day cry before leaving work for how they are treated and spoken too.  I would never recommend this place and I'm sure if they keep doing what they are doing they will be filing for bankruptcy.
