Get used to praying during company meetings. Mandatory overtime is regular meaning you're clocked in 48 hours each week, and if you planned for having off on a Friday you need to take PTO for that overtime day. Positivity is so enforced within the company that negativity will be reprimanded. Lots of meetings that you can attend if you want. 3 weeks of vacation is frontloaded, but don't quit that year if you use it all-you will have to pay that back. Pay is low but is "compensated" through the bonus check-which you won't qualify for the full amount until you've worked 2 full calender years there. The laziest employees are recognized for their loyalty to the company while the good employees come and go quickly. Most of your day is acting like you're busy because there's not enough work for the amount of employees on the team.

Overall, the experience at Ortho was very subpar. The cons outweighed the pros by a landslide. If you’re on the WIP side of manufacturing, be ready to put in some long and strenuous days. OT is also scheduled a majority of the time on Fridays, mostly due to poor product forecasting that falls onto the manufacturing departments shoulders. With the early morning start time and the amount of OT worked, it’s extremely difficult to have any work/life balance. Along with that, for the work being done I don’t feel there is adequate pay compensation. We were always told that the “big bonus” at the end of the year is supposed to be our added compensation, even though the bonus money is never a guarantee. On the positive side, a majority of the people were very friendly and it created a lighthearted work atmosphere depending on the people you worked next to. 

I worked as an Inside Sales Rep for little under a year here. Within that time I learned so much about the nutraceutical industry. The Inside Sales team had incredible leadership within the company and a big focus here is taking the time to train their employees. There is a lot of potential to move up in the company, but you must  put in the time and effort. This isn't a job where you can take short cuts.

Workplace culture is very different from other companies I have worked for in the past. Ortho Molecular puts a lot of time and effort to be honest and completely transparent with their employees (and clients) about how the company is performing day to day and what their long term goal is. They also invest a lot into product training with each employee along with each individual's health and wellbeing.

Experienced, knowledgeable and hard working employees are paid the same as the incompetent and lazy workers. Everyone gets the same measly 3% yearly raise every year even if inflation goes goes up drastically. All the managers play favorites and bend over backwards to get the employees that suck up to them whatever they want while Everyone else suffers. They serve the employees disgusting lunches everyday and tell them to be greatful and use the free food as an excuse not to increase wages and benefits. Yearly bonus is a joke, have to work their for 2 years just earn a small prorated amount. They claim the bonus adds $7/hr on to your wage and also use that as an excuse not to pay a fair hourly wage to begin with. Can't make plans on Fridays because they will make manufacturers work overtime at any time with little notice.

A typical date at work consists of calling on prospecting/calling on accounts/ detailing products, selling, and learning new products and protocols.  Working here is a great opportunity to develop a deep knowledge of how supplements are manufactured, quality factors, and the supporting research (or lack there of).  The hardest part is fitting into the culture - institutionalized gender biases / hierarchies and deeply religious viewpoints/attitudes.  The freedom of being an outside rep (as opposed to someone looking over your shoulder in a cubicle) is enjoyable as is establishing account relationships.

I really like the company culture and the product we supply. There is a lot of growth opportunities within the company, more at the corporate head quarters. It can be a very fast paced environment in a FDA regulated facility. Lots of rules and standard to follow. Makes for a active day and keeps you on your feet.
Overall it is a great company to work for and good people to work with. Luck provided 4 day a week and free product once a month are also great perks.

The work you do isn't hard by any means but the arrogance in management makes it a terrible workplace. Also, they hired a Chaplin to walk around and basically annoy you while your trying to work and it's offensive if your not religious. If you like the vibe of a catholic school that's basically the workplace here. Only nice thing is the hours but the pay isn't worth it. They will also make it sound good because of the bonus through profit sharing and say you only have to wait a year but it's more like 2 years depending on when you start since everything is done on a calender year.

I landed a job with my dream company and it quickly became a nightmare. Hired as a business analyst, I crushed my 90 day goals. I was then given a new job title and description at the same pay. Take the job or leave and I should have left. Everyone there is working in a job outside their specialized knowledge base. It seemed that all the other employees had moved from one position to another if it wasn't a fit but that option wasn't available to me. Do yourself a favor, don't do it. 

Very fast growing company with a lot of growing pains. The pay is below average to average. There is a very nice bonus check at the end of every year which makes up for some of the pay. The health insurance plans aren’t that great. It is very difficult to get promoted unless you know the right people. There is a lot of overtime for manufacturing due to a lack of innovative equipment. There is a lack of accountability and the poor workers get the same raises and the productive workers. Overall, the good outweighs the bad.

The now former plant manager made work very stressful

Clean, orderly, and normally relaxed environment. The culture is very positive forward thinking yet grounded in a positive Christian value set.

Busy and challenging but the people make it fun.
