I say lack of training .. lack of managers in office.This location  only has ONE manager.whom does NOT come in to work in thé office anythin (over ) 30 hrs;
 Which means the new hires are assigned to sit with anther acct rep (seasond) going over the systems or side-by-side w/ phone calls. Keep in mind also the new hires don't have logins access.passwords for thèse système  for at least 3 To 5wks into the training sessions.😞
.Some of the representatives whom us new hires were assigned were  more 'seasoned' reps or thé LEAD Representatives which  means thèse assigned Representatives also are  MORE distracted during the so-called training b/c they would be interrupted from others teammates, account representative,

PLEASE, Keep in mind,these questions aren't only 10 to 15 minutes b/c they're also translated in English and back to spanish..
60% To 70% of this " side by-side traing" it's just time wasted, not thorough training.
The Hospital representativeposition was for thé New Castle County hospitals. Are more front -end billing process;. Screening( going over the state questionnaire) for the self-pay patient to see eligibility for Medicaid.
6 out the 8 wks ; I was trained mostly end) of their  billing process.Examples were as follows:
 Helping  account representative prepare PT"s files to give to field reps as well as MULTIPLE (reprints). of patient's file.,voicemail messages for patients/,client to follow up w/office in a sensitive matter to the office .Some of these calls were to help the receptionist's to catch up with her caseload as well
This is NOT adequate, thorough training for à Hospital representative.
 To sum it up 40 to50 % of it. was.. "busy work", 40 To 45% helping teammates in catch-up up with their caseload..30% following up with HR Dept on the  next. Phases of immunisation ( apprx 7 to 8) requirements excluding a physical.
Also keep in mind back and forth to the doctor's office is/was on my own time/ not paid. in order to await
 for approved authorization from HR  to go to phase 2 of training... At the hospital .. as a hospital representative which I was originally hired for.

A typical day at work, would be to start the day with phone calls and letters to follow up on patients as reminders for information required for the medical assistance to be decided upon. Copying information for patients as they would arrive at the office throughout the day, faxing information to the main office in Allentown, Pa. and the county assistance office located in Stroudsburg, Pa. Scanning EOB's and emailing and or printing and faxing to main office for results of what hospital is doing with the patients account for payment, etc. Completing medical assistance applications with patients on hospital floor and in hospital office. Data Entry of patients personal information into computer, always adding comments and notes daily until patients case has ended and/or been decided upon for medical assistance. What I have learned is listen to the patient their wants and needs, give time to each individual person it benefits all parties. Management, always there to inquire how your day is going and to know how the accounts are being maintained, and if any structure needs to be changed for better productivity. My co-workers were from the hospital patients accounts department, I was a liason between my company and the hospital. My co-workers and I had a pleasant and productive relationship on a daily basis. The hardest part of my job was to explain to patients when they were disqualified for medical assistance, never want to be the person who has to deliver bad news, in regards to a huge medical bill on top of that person obviously being tremendously sick and needing the help. The most enjoyable part of the job was letting the patient know that he or she has been approved for the medical assistance, a feeling of relief for both parties after all the work and worrying.

PATHS, LLC discriminates against people of color and only favors those that resemble the people in leadership who are white latinos. They do not follow policy and HR will cover for the mangers as they are all friends. Never an ounce of accountability. Benefits are trash with high deductibles. Owed taxes. Will over work you and expect that you will stay hours after your shift, then guilt trip you if you leave. HR rarely responds to complaints or questions.concerns. You should document everything. A lot of gossip and lazy employees as well as managers and supervisors. No-one can provide a direct answer to anything, many application are incorrectly completed and denied as such. Some apps were lost. Training was a waste of time and not informative. Wasted over a month just staring at one another and wasting time waiting to get into the hospital. Contract was termed by the hospital before the contract renewal date-that is how bad the company operated. I could go on and on and on. Trust me, I wish I read the reviews before accepting the job. The worse job experience I have ever had. It is not worth it. No advancement. They want you to act as bill collectors and force people to complete Medicaid app. They do not care about the patients they only care about the numbers. They will change your notes in the system if a patient declined to sign an app and rewrite a made up story-under your name! Employees forged patients signatures, management knew and did nothing about it. Please stay away , worse company ever! Oh and no affiliate with PATHS, LLC can work at any INOVA and many participating facilities in Northern Virginia. They are black-balled.

In a nut shell the their is lack of communication for both  management & team leads. management has a BIG disconnect w/ team leads in office vs the team leads at the Hospital(S).
 training is very poor, in a erratic way. 
 Some example(s).The office manager is only in  the office 30 hrs a wk due to personal issues or lack of coverage at the hospitals.
  Which means 80% of the week the new hires are left w/ busy work,such as print outs of patients files, or more print out other computers or other busy work 
  w/ vcml messages for  patients to call back,in hopes they do so to complete a screening & new-hires get" some "exposure with the application for Medicaid . 
This is NOT proper training., it's work only to  keep the new hire busy and to help the co workers in the office to catch up on their case load.! 
Keep in mind the hospital representatives are  "front end  of the processing and the office staff is more for back end billing/processing of the Medicaid status to summit to the state for approval ( if qualified ).  
Also Paths' PAY rate is too LOW; for a hospital representatives exposing their selves to patients whom are very contagious and or  very depressed while in the hospital(s).
The position as a hospital representative is geared  for those whom have the blessing to be a natural mind reader ( due to lack of training) as well  some medical back ground; such as nurse practitioner.

While some members of the management team were exceptional, others faced challenges in effectively delegating tasks and managing workloads. The company recently took on a large project, which seemed to overwhelm many managers, leading to inefficiencies and disorganization. Despite my qualifications and experience, I was often unable to receive the necessary assistance or resources due to limited access to internal systems.

The orientation and onboarding process had significant issues: delayed start dates, unprepared workspaces, and tech problems hindered a smooth transition. In addition, training was incomplete, and I was left without access to crucial tools needed to perform my job. Despite repeatedly seeking clarification and support, I was met with responses that lacked empathy and appeared dismissive.

Though my colleagues were kind, there was noticeable tension within the team, and the company culture felt restrictive. After giving my two weeks’ notice, I was unexpectedly let go before the start of my training. This experience left me with mixed feelings, as the company’s actions and approach to communication were inconsistent.

Spent 16 years plus with this company and I have nothing to show for it. Pay does not reflect national average for Any position unless your an immediate family member. Seems management takes a course on how to demean you., as well as bullying overlooked AND encouraged/performed by management. 
Few managers/ directors are professional. Employee engagement is very low-due to pay rates far below the national average versus the work load. An individual is not trained properly in any department. Employees are not given access to the tools to complete their work by deadlines, as the company will not pay for company access or group access to the necessary programs, we are expected to work “ old school” on a daily basis. Basically, they pay “ seat warmers” and “paper shufflers”. They don’t pay for brain power, talent, experience. Management along with other employees gossip terribly, a lot of finger pointing with no support to workers. I would recommend a position here for beginners, as they do not advance the right people fairly.

I never felt more taken advantage of by working for PATHS. You will work hard and get a “good job” from management but never see an increase in pay. Job duties increase if they see you’re doing well but do not compensate you. Management only cares about numbers and they only see their employees as a number. As soon as you put your two weeks in not one person from management will reach out to you or say good luck or thank you for your time and effort you put into your job. You get a pay raise of about 30 cents a year if that, and your review has nothing to do with your raise. People who do not do well at their job get the same amount of money as people who go above and beyond. Stay away. Dead end job with no room for advancement or pay increase. No sick days and takes forever to get any PTO since you have to accrued all your vacation time. If your serious about your career seek employment elsewhere.

This place is the most horrible company I have ever worked for. Crazy managers that will come after you when they screw up to cover for themselves. You can't trust anyone here they all talk behind each other's backs, lie about others. I wouldn't even say a word to anyone unless you have to because at some point it will be used against you. Even their IT company they use to secure work from home workers is horrible, they are the same way and they constantly have issues because they do not have a large enough server to handle the amount of employees they have on it at any given time. The pay here is horrible and I have a 4 year degree and get no respect for it at all. You will get limited overtime even though the amount of work that you have is never ending. They won't hire enough employees to handle the work load because they don't want to spend the money, they just will expect you to work faster. 

This is a good place to work if you know you wont be here long term. There is no room for growth and management could run things a lot better. The job itself involves assisting hospital patients in applying for medical assistance if they do not already have medical insurance. The job itself is not bad but the people who run it make you dislike it. There are many ways to improve job quality and performance but management decides to worry about other minuscule things. Coworkers are so nice and fun. No snacking or eating at your desk and breaks are strictly timed 45 minutes. Must stay at cubicle unless its work related. Must be quick in kitchen and bathroom. Dress code is strictly business casual. The people here do not know how to train so expect to not know what they are talking about once you are thrown into the job. I found this job through a temp agency and I am only here while I find full time employment elsewhere.

I am a current employee at Paths and I must say this isn't the greatest place to work more so a place to get experience. Workload definitely doesn't coincide with the pay, managers are unorganized and sometimes seems as if they don't know what their doing as well. Training sucks to say the least they throw you out on your own after a day or two with no real training from a supervisor, medical benefits are way to high for even one person let alone adding your spouse and children. Wouldn't recommend this job to someone looking for a permanent position especially one who knows their worth as an employee. I've only been a couple months and I am currently looking for a new position because I am unhappy here at Paths. I would much rather work for a company that values their employees and not just worried about bringing the money in which is tons and "don't have enough money" for raises.
