The main Physicians East facility on East Arlington was decent when I volunteered there for three months and the people I worked with were very nice. My supervisor was one of the sweetest people I had ever met. However, Physicians East has several locations. I would not advise anyone to work at the Urgent Care facility on West Arlington. It's very hectic and the hours are crazy. You may be a part-timer and work a full 40 hour shift. You have to stay at the facility until the last patient leaves and most of the employees will leave you. The coworkers I worked with at the time were sneaky and not helpful at all. It's pretty much every man for himself.

The best part about my job was the money, meeting nice patients, and getting more work experience.

I started out at Physicians East with a "super entry level part time position." I do believe there are advancements in growth; however, that would need to correlate in timing/luck/education. I worked in a position that was very different in my job responsibilities/description, and after a year of working in that position I asked for a raise. Unfortunately, I was denied due to raises being giving out yearly during your annual evaluation.  Nonetheless, the raises were only 2%-3% per year; technically just a couple cents. I enjoyed Physicians East at the beginning, but soon later found out how this company is not the best for financial appreciation. I do enjoy the benefits, because they are good. However, to me, that did not make it a good reason to stay. 

One of most enjoyable job’s I’ve had. Great work environment for the most part. The supervisors are very flexible and understanding. They work with you and try to figure out exactly where you fit in best within the department. They have some of the most amazing respectable doctors. Great benefits and I felt appreciated more days than I have working for any other company. Friendly coworkers and decent pay. Hardest part of the job is getting patients in and out because they have such a large amount of patients being seen daily.  The doctors move pretty fast and expect you to keep up as well. The job was still enjoyable.

This place is ok for someone coming into their first career, they say benefits are great but I’ve seen much better from the local hospital. They use a very outdated EHR system and check in system so it’s like walking back into 2002. I’d say if Physicians East is your first job than you will like it but if your coming from somewhere like the hospital I would stay with them. 401k doesn’t start till a year of employment, they only match 3% (the local hospital matches at 5%). and only 11 hours of PTO per month (that’s not a lot)

I learn a lot of what a financial counselors job is and it is not an easy task at all times. I assisted two financial counselors. I worked Microsoft Office as well as NextGen computer software. I am a fast learner I love a challenge of learning something different. I did skip tracing online. I collected returned mail and would update their current information into the system. I would then resend mail to the appropriate address. I appreciate them teaching me and working with me to help me with my endeavors of graduating college.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Experience within a multi specialty practice. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Unprofessional Management. Management lacks leadership skills. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Hostile working Environment. Constant controversy amongst the employee’s & management does nothing to stop or prevent. Management gossips about employees amongst and or with other employees. Toxic workplace. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Consistent patient interaction.

My first year and a half at Greenville Women’s Care was amazing. However, things started going on a downward spiral back in January of this year. I’m not sure what all was going on, but we had staff constantly leaving, we lost 3 providers this year, and my original boss resigned in June. I went on maternity leave, and learned that my position had been filled. Everyone at the front desk is brand new. I came back for not even a week, and was laid off. They had just fired someone a few weeks prior who had been there longer than I was, and I was there almost 3 years. Gotta love new management. 

Pretty easy going company, decent benefits, but they don’t pay very well. There’s not much room for advancement. There are always positions available to move to but none are a move up, mostly lateral moves. Yearly raises are only 2% so expect around .25-.35 cent. I recommend them if you’re just starting out in the medical field and if you’re looking for somewhere chill to come back to after you’ve made your money. Also this is from an admin side NOT clinical. 

They have a lot of good people that work for this company. But the company as aa whole have some practices that go against most company policies. Most of the people that work there are nice. Best advice I can give is please ask to review the handbook before accepting a position they can't deny you. Doing this you will know what you are getting yourself involved with.

Working management , nurses and doctors
