I had the pleasure of working for PP twice and I had the opportunity to learn a passion for providing exceptional customer service as well as many marketing and sales skills.

I must say if there was an issue management particularly Human Resources resolved the issues fairly and impartially, promptly and professionally.

There were some rude, immature, and unprofessional coworkers however the POSITIVE coworkers and working environment and perks far outweighed the bad. The company has then conducted a major overhaul of management and staff which has enhanced their brand.

I honestly can not say there was a difficult part of the job.

However, I could go on forever about the enjoyable part of working at PP, The call center incentives during busy season..raffles, giveaways, call center bingo are so much fun. The annual company picnic in the summer, Holloween Costume contest, and Holiday Party are beyond AMAZING.The call center director, was a daily dose of Sunshine which motivated you to come to work. There is also a great opportunity for advancement. I also love the fact the president and owner is approachable and a people person. You will find him in meetings, in the warehouse and definitely in the call center and training rooms-welcoming new trainees, and asking reps feedback regarding sales calls and the company.

At PP you work hard but you play harder and the president/owner definitely knows how to have fun and reward his employees.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WORKING HERE! You will not regret it.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I don't think there was a best part with working there the environment was very negative full of gossip, stress, and just overall a bad experience 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There was absolutely no training on their end I was told I would get a minimum of a month training it was put down to 2 weeks and I was excepted know how to do my job correctly and I constantly received negative feedback from my manager and higher ups but no help, and when my coworkers tried to help me the manager told them to stop.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very negative and stressful gossip all the time put downs no one was happy being there and there was no team morale. If someone could they would throw you under the bus and people would stay late and skip lunch to try to finish a job with unrealistic expectations 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I would come in to at least 100 or more emails sent through out the night and early morning from different companies. The manager would come around say she has a meeting and needs certain things done and ready for her. People would come from different departments and ask you questions on things you had no answers to, because the companies who had the answer would just outright ignore your call or email. You try to get through as much work as you can while people and higher ups interrupt you. Then you get to skip lunch and the computer clocks you out for it. After your managers meeting she would let you know how bad the meeting was and it was your fault because it's only been 2 weeks and you barely have a clue. You listen to your other works put down other people calling them stupid and morons. Finally you give up and go home because you realize you have no control over the end results no matter how much you want things to work.

I worked at Positive for 7 years (Sep 2004 to Oct 2011) . I don't know how things are currently at Positive, but when I was there-there was favoritism, nepostism, and at times lack of professionalism (a few bad isms) . Everyone needs a job, I know, and It is good solid entry level type work-there is some room for advancement, but be warned, there are cliques present, and a lot of he -said she-said stuff happened when I worked there.  Management definitely plays favorites, when I worked there people got promoted over more deserving candidates just because they were "cool" with someone in management. The way the call center is /was ran is kind of "by the seat of your pants" ....literally based on whatever is happening at the moment, severely low sense of direction.  For example-"no calls in queue at 11am-let's send home half the staff, it'll be a slow day"-15 minutes later "there are dozens of calls! everyone pick up! where is everyone?" -um you sent them home, dummy.  pay raises are few and far in between, or at least they were. Company will claim to not have money to give raises but will then send an email to everyone asking for congrats on a promotion for a person who already was earning more than anyone on the floor . Don't mind me, I'm just keeping it real.  When I was there, some of the supervisors were very kool people.  But some were self important  and felt like they could lord over you .  Micro management was rampant.  All in all it was a turbulent, sometimes enjoyable (in the early days there were incentives and a great company party) but ultimately annoying and many times stressful experience. A typical day at work would consist of accurately specifying and order processing for Educational, Municipal, Medical and other institutions with products and services to reward their valued employees with.  Staffing appreciations, recognition awards, customized imprints and other giveaways were the merchandise that we produced and put out to our clientele. These inspirational "Perks" was what gave me a foundation as to how people, in whatever capacity they work, MUST be recognized and appreciated for the efforts and personal growth that they invest their valuable time in daily.   All work and no play produces an unappreciated employee and that inevitably results in a high turnaround and lower revenues for that prospective Agency.   In a nutshell Incentive is the best form of keeping your employees happy.  Motivation, in any form, is a necessary practice for both employee and subscribing parties to that Business. 

An warm rapport between subordinate, supervisors and management was the ultimate feeling of working with people that resembled a family away from home.  This organization built that atmosphere of working in your "second" home.  The hardest part of this job is leaving.   The most enjoyable part of this job was the ever so frequent training and brainstorming sessions that we all shared to maintain our changing pricing and sales methods.  This job was fun.

Positive Promotions is not a company that will grant you any sort of dignity, respect, or creative outlet. The work isn't difficult, but it is incredibly mind-numbing and repetitive, and despite this fact, there is no levity in the office to balance out the monotony of the work. Overall, the mood of the workplace is dull and joyless, with a big dose of passive aggression and condescension mixed in from management. Managers here will absolutely take their employees for granted, as well as belittle them in front of others in the most immature and degrading manner possible. I'm not kidding when I say that managers will openly gossip about their employees in the same room as if they were in high school (and yes, we could still OBVIOUSLY hear them "whispering"). No amount of work done is ever good enough, and if you ask them a question about something work-related (which they "supposedly" encourage), they will act in an annoyed and condescending manner that suggests you are wasting their precious time. In addition, computers are old and barely efficient, and the building (and bathrooms in particular) are dirty and gross. While it's a decent place to start out at, don't bother staying here long-term unless you want your blood pressure to skyrocket from stress, boredom, and pretentious management. 

If you have ambition, ideas, work ethic and a drive to succeed than this is NOT the place for you.

The Senior senior level management is super ignorant, has bad manners and bad hygiene. Common thing you'll notice at this place is someone picking their nose during meetings, spitting their food while speaking, sleeping during presentations and not knowing how  to speak to other people. The upper level management doesn't get technology or cares about it employees and is more concerned with drama than figuring out how to better the company.

The only happy employees, I think, are all in the Customer Service Department. The employees in the marketing team are great but their morale died the day they joined this company. There is no appreciation for hard work, no real benefits, no respect from the CEO/upper level managers, no room for growth and no one to make any solid changes. 

Oh and all the promises that you get made on the offer about this being a great place to work and there's tons of room to growth.. are ALL lies. Do yourself a favor and seriously keep looking unless you want to wake up every morning and dread going to work!

I knew the very second I stepped foot into this place that it would be a temporary position. The first thing you'll notice is the quality of the building; it's run-down, old, smelly and overall just dirty. Second, the vibe of the employees: there is no cheeriness, no welcoming happy faces. Everyone here seems absolutely miserable and like they have a chip on their shoulders. Last, the management. The management here is absolutely horrible. Most of the supervisors are toxic, condescending, passive aggressive and narcissistic. They don't train you properly and expect you to be an expert at doing things you've never done before. If people call out they expect you to take on everyones workload INCLUDING your own. Managers will constantly speak down on their superiors, colleagues and even their own employees in front of others. They WILL take their frustrations out on you, especially if there is an audience. It's pathetic. You will not find any respect in this company. The day I finally walked out of that place for good was one of the happiest days of my life. Save yourself the headache and DO NOT apply here. If you're going to spend 8 hours somewhere, spend it somewhere you'll enjoy. 

A typical day of work was me logging onto my phone the signing on the computer. Then I would wait for my first order so I can see if the item is instock, if so then I will proceed to place the order. If an item the customer wanted was not instock then I will shop with the customer on the phone for the next best item. Positive Promotions taught me alot about health, bullying,drugs, food portions, and etc. Positive Promotions produces positive products that are sold to schools, hospitals, goverment buildings, & churches. My co-workers were very helpful and nice. Mostly everyone had an "Positive Attidude". The hardest part of my job was not being able to met a customers needs no matter how hard I tried. The most enjoyable part of my job was being able to satisfy an unpleasant customer.

For a company that promotes employee recognition and team building strategies, don't expect any here. Depending on the department you work in your experience with the company can vary - In my experience I would spend an average of 20 hours a week in meetings, rarely leave on time, expect to work weekends as well, minimal vacation time, no communication between departments, overloaded with projects that are rarely even looked at - most deadlines are constantly pushed off by executive staff, no reviews, no recognition, no training - its sink or swim so you learn quickly. There are a few good ones at the company that are willing to help show you the way. I would say Positive Promotions is an ok company to start at; take what you can from it and learn everything you need so that you can move on.

A typical day at positive....
-Stock is missing 
-Justifiably angry customer call and wants what they ordered and paid for a month and a half ago
-Employees send hundreds of emails to one another that ultimately never get answered and communicates through a system that was outdated in the 90's
-Management huddles in a room and discusses recognizable issues that never get resolved 
-Overtime is good for most people during the busy seasons, outside of those 4-5 months spread throughout the year - there is no available overtime, no reviews or raises often 
-The politics are slowing the company down 


-Outside of management the people you work with are very friendly 
-Paid time off is always nice 
-The work can be challenging but rewarding
