I received little or no training.  They set me up with someone that basically never bothered to train me on how to do my job.  I had to literally beg for training hours.  They made up a training schedule, which this person didn't follow, and just left me to flounder, and then blamed me when I wasn't learning how to process more denial codes.  It made no sense at all. Then, the person that was supposed to be training me told the manager I didn't want to do my job basically.  Oh.  Thee insanity of toxic people.  I honestly didn't even know what my actual job duties consisted of in thee end because no one actually showed me.  I was helping to process claim denials, or trying too without much assistance from anyone, and zero clear direction.  They also put me in a sect I wasn't even hired for, and had no experience in.

The Dept. Head had zero people skills, no management experience, and lacked a personality of any kind. They replaced her with a Yes Man formerly of UHC.  Most of the workers just gossiped mindlessly, were petty, and almost none of them were willing to help you out if you were new.  I've never worked anywhere like it.  It was an extremely toxic work environment.

If you would like to do a job that makes you feel like a useless imbecile every day, then this is the place for you.  You're just a number here.  They do not care about their office staff.  They also put you through a complete physical to work behind a desk.  They will ask for medical records, make you do exercises in front of them, and ask ? that are extremely personal, and then, they'll judge you.  Oh yes. I should've realized from the beginning because of their application process what I was in for.  I just want others to know that this is a horrible, soulless workplace that should be avoided at all costs (from the perspective of office staff).  It was honestly the worst office job I've ever had.

Was written up 3 times for performance issues, when in fact I was not getting the proper training or guidance from the other girls in my position. Also was written up for calling in sick and not having enough PTO to cover it. I wasn't aware I had to know when I was going to fall ill and prepare to I can have hours to cover it. Team Care is an absolute failure and is the farthest thing from "TEAM" care. Doctors don't follow the procedures, and nurses are still very dedicated and possessive of one doctor and their tasks. Girls are cliquey, rude, and not willing to help you learn. Not by any means was I perfect, but I was rushed but then I couldn't give my tasks quality, I was targeted in everything I did. Everything was wrong or I didn't do right. Things were continually ridiculed as I was harrassed with everything I tried do to. Was told one thing by one person and another by the next person. A relaxed work place is nice, but this is too relaxed and slacky. Was hired to stay late untill providers were finished and was continually told to leave, hardly ever got my 8 hours in a day, and the one that arrived at 7:15am benefited from the extra time, but yet overtime wasn't allowed. Talked to for being frustrated and irritable one time, which is I agree preventable, but he person who is rude, angry, complaining all the time, and doesn't let you do anything gets made excuses for, that "that's just the way they are."

If considering a job with Prevea Health, get used to low pay, bad benefits and working short with high staff turn over. Management is hired with little to no experience, most of the time with NO experience, and they play favorites. The supervisors are just as bad with gossip as the employees themselves, so if you don't like to get involved in talking about people get used to being talked about, Prevea has a pay cap, so after being at the company for a certain period of time, you will stop earning raises at your yearly evaluations, but don't worry. You should never feel too safe as an employee, they don't care how much time you have put in or how much you care about your job, they see you as an expendable number and if they do not like you-you are gone! 

My recommendation-if you have any other option, take it! I thought I was happy here, FAR from it!

High volume of work with no back up during absences, including FMLA; Little or no management support or communication; untrained, inexperienced managers. The culture of Prevea is based on clique personality with promotions endorsed on that basis.  The most difficult part of the job was continuing to provide a high level of production/work in the face of ongoing threats and interference by inexperienced management, along with not having viable ERP/MRP systems to accomplish the work or documented processes or procedures to provide continuity.  Unfortunately, the only enjoyable part of my job was leaving at the end of every day.  Without doubt or hesitation this was a highly toxic work environment.

Poor organizational leadership. Patient safety concerns brought to management's attention frequently went unaddressed beyond an assurance that the issue would be looked into. Months would go by without a change and when asked, the supervisor had forgotten or was waiting to hear from corporate. I personally was paid fairly for my training and position, but I believe I was an exception because my starting supervisor was awesome and the supervisor I transferred to made no changes. The biggest issue by far was the management, when they were present and reachable (which was not often, there was not actually a supervisor in the building) they spent most of their time contributing to gossip and drama. The overall company culture is one of promises that go unfulfilled and issues that get overlooked.

Constant executive and upper management changes.  The shifting of supervisors, managers and constant changing of expectations has made working for this company unbearable.  Directors are making changes when they admittedly do not know the job descriptions and roles in Sheboygan.  There is no transparency even though they believe it in.  There has been a breakdown in trust when they promised that jobs would not be lost after they closed their Western Wisconsin clinics.  Prevea has always been an inclusive company that values it's advanced practice providers, but yet they have disbanded the Advanced Practice Council established for Advanced Practice Providers to have a voice.  There are rumors that they are also going to stop the RVU bonus program for APPs that they only just started a little over one year ago.  Financially Prevea is hurting.  

Very much physician lead with no rationale given for decisions being made. This often leaves staff feeling like "what the ---?"
Out of touch with the market they serve often and trying to grow into geographical/cultural areas of Wisconsin they know little about. Arrogant approach to healthcare.
Otherwise, generally good people in lower management and coworkers. Benefits are not great and the PREVEA 360 insurance comes up short in many areas. 
Most days are at a relaxing pace. As long as you work steady and see as many patients as you comfortably can, every one is happy. No productivity pressure unless you intentionally slack. 
Good but not great place to work.

I worked here before I graduated and it was a truly rewarding experience. After being in school for a year, it was great to get out of the classroom and see what I had worked so hard for. I worked in a family practice, so I worked with an array of patients. My favorite part about working here, was being able to work a sterile field; being able to assist the doctor with minor office procedures, collecting specimens and sending it off to the lab. The staff members that guided me and trained me were beyond helpful and welcoming. It is a smaller clinic, and I really liked the positive work flow. 
The hardest part of the job for me, was given immunizations to babies. No one wants to be that "bad nurse." I would like to get more experience with kids.

Most management is in Green Bay and rarely communicates or knows anything that is going on in the Sheboygan area, seems like they care more about the money and politics then their employees. Supervisors hired and refuse to learn their employees roles so employees often know more then their supervisors and supervisors are unable to help with simple everyday desks or tasks. Alot of favoritism within management. 
Coworkers are awesome to work with and put up with the everyday changes that are thrown at them. Although it seems that a lot of them get sick of the job and quit as there are always openings and employees are forced to work short staffed. 
Pay is average but starting pay is low compared to other places in the area doing similar work. 

Supervisors are lazy and choose to ignore problems instead of addressing them. They hired mostly older women that are catty and bitter so there was a lot of talking behind backs then smiling to faces. That mixed with the supervisors created a toxic work environment.  Everything was micromanaged by people in corporate that didn’t understand how busy a desk gets and they refused to staff more. This place seriously needs to start caring about their employees more based off of the amount of people quitting. Having management that knows what they’re doing is a great start - stop focusing on COVID and focus on why staff are quitting in droves. We’re treated terribly!
