It was intimidating applying for my first employer out of school. It was a seamless transition into the clinic. She started the clinic to have more autonomy after practicing in the corporate PT world for 9-10 years, which really resonated with me. Orit (owner) provided such a nourishing environment that fostered growth as a person and physical therapist. There was ample time to document and  treat patients. I really appreciated the numerous opportunities to co-treat w/ Orit, which really enhanced my knowledge and understanding. There really weren't any downsides, it was difficult at first working 10 hr. days, but well worth it for 1 hr. treatment times and 3 days off.

In addition to co-treating, we held small meetings reviewing courses or peer reviewed journals. She really valued the work/life balance, which is imperative when interacting w/ so many patients on a daily basis. There were monthly/quarterly meetings, which included financial update, which was very helpful to see where the business needs to improve and how to allocate money to run a successful business. What I valued most was feeling empowered to be a physical therapist there.

With all of this being said, I worked there over 9 years go, but I'm sure she has upheld the same principles that made the clinic so successful and such an awesome place to work!

The company culture is unmatched and truly makes you look forward to coming into work everyday. The patient population is challenging and there will be some stressful days, but you are given the tools to succeed! There is a commitment to excellence and continuing education advancement, as well as personal mentorship from an expert clinician. Management actually makes time to check in with you regularly and hear any potential concerns in order to come to meaningful solutions. If you’re eager to learn new skills and treat an incredibly rewarding population, then this is the place for you. 

 A huge emphasis on solidarity, teamwork and positivity is promoted with “Fun days” as well! The team learns together and gets to relax together. They even keep a giant snack cabinet to make sure you don’t go hungry throughout the day. Another huge bonus is getting to make your own schedule, and everyone gets Friday afternoon off to explore the PNW! I can’t recommend this company enough, it was an incredible experience before I had to move away. 

PSPT was a fantastic place to work, to say the least. While being a tech at Pain Science, I was able to learn and practice the soft skills necessary for PT school and patient care. The patient interaction at the front desk and shadowing opportunities all played an important role in the growth of both my personal and professional lives. In addition to the growth and learning opportunities,  PSPT emphasizes team chemistry and communication. From the daily huddles to the weekly meetings and the quarterly fun days, PSPT was a very enjoyable place to work every day because of the frequent interactions with the wonderful team. The workload as a PT tech is very manageable. PSPT is a place that sets up all of its workers for success. In addition, all workers are greatly supported by the wonderful leadership team. Pain Science Physical Therapy is truly the perfect place to work and build experience. 

This is not your typical run of the mill PT factory. Orit started Pain Science PT to focus on one-on-one patient care so that both therapists and patients get the most out of every visit. This, along with one-on-one weekly development meetings with all staff members, creates a culture that fosters the staff’s overall health and professional  development. The clinic specializes in treating chronic pain, but the work environment allows you to learn and develop any variety of skills for different specialties you may be interested in. I would gladly work for Orit at Pain Science PT again if I Ever moved back to the PNW!

Mentorship here is a dedicated time slot to help you grow as a clinician. Good PTO and benefits. Management is very responsive to concerns. And possibly best of all, there are dogs.
