Working for Panola Medical Center allowed me the opportunity to implement my education and skills I aquired through training to provide the services the patients needed. I also learned alot from the nurses I assisted as for as plans of actions of treatment and many different medications. The most rewarding thing was helping the patients in my area of expertise, while receiving treatment.

CEO & CNO are family oriented and always make you feel like you matter.

The medical field, in general, has changed and this makes it stressful regardless of what facility you are working with.

Family oriented and responsive to suggestions on new ideas. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
My days are spent In utilization review and case management

What is the best part of working at the company?
I love working here at Panola Medical Center. It feels like i am working with family.  We have the best providers and nurses and administrative personnel around. The patients that come to our clinic are made to feel welcome and are treated with kindness, dignity, and respect.

Busy! Just the way I love it!

I worked there for 7 years and I have nothing to show for it but anger and disappointment. The administration now is a joke especially the CEO. The management is also a joke. The pay is horrible. They’ll throw several different jobs on you with no intentions of a raise. My advice for anyone that isn’t buddies with the CEO is don’t work there. You’ll be abused and lied too. This place is not a good place to work.

Small hospital. PTO. Close to home

Backstabbing and dishonesty. Poor nursing management

Clock in on time. Keep your mouth shut. Clock out on time

Shortage of good workers and supplies due to covid.

Friendly work environment, Small hospital so you see people (fellow employees) more frequently

Very friendly with generous support

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Visits with the patients on the weekend, engagement with the staff on duty

No matter how hard you work if you’re not a person that they favor you won’t be recognized. No advancement unless it’s someone they know personally or have a friendship with. No compensation for years of service. Just a lot of mistreatment and unfair work experiences. The pay is the lowest in any hospital in this area that way so many employees are leaving 

Some shifts are more fast-paced than others, and some rotations work together better than others, but most shifts go by smoothly. Most employees communicate well with each other. A typical shift as a patient care/nursing assistant involves vital signs, baths/linen changes, patient assistance, feedings, and a small amount of charting.

I love meeting new patients but the management was unprofessional, gossip about other employees coming from a so called superior level. Showed too much favoritism and low pay rate like a slap in the face meaning I been employed there over a decade with new employees coming in making more than I was. Very unprofessional!
