I cannot say enough good things about working here.  The executive director has a strong sense of people, which translates to a well-chosen team that works together and shares the priority of the clients' well-being.  To that end, everyone felt welcome to innovate our approach to better serve the clients, and communicating and coordinating our individual efforts has been effortless.  If I ever needed to voice a concern or a need, this feedback was welcomed.  This culture of safety and support also empowered me to extend myself to others on the team, which also boosted my own confidence on the job.

The population can be trying and temperamental, as in any mental health care setting.  The difficulties of this job are little more than those of the profession.  Support for these difficulties is plentiful, in meetings as well as in passing in the office, at appropriate times.  Support for the clients in their struggles is also endless and takes many forms, and my whole team empowered me to take initiative with individuals' needs.  This promoted much growth, personal and professional, for me at this job.

Highly stressful work environment with little recognition for the administrative team, despite the important role office coordinators play in daily operations. The organization often seemed to prioritize the needs of therapists while overlooking the contributions of support staff. Advancement opportunities for non-clinical employees were limited. That said, it can be a good place to gain experience and develop skills that can help you advance elsewhere.

After being a 10 year veteran in the field of Mental Health in NYC Pasadena Villa was my stepping stone back into my passion of working with clients living with Mental Health diagnosis’ in my new home of Tampa, FL.  Pasadenas staff since  my Day 1 onboarding has been supportive, insightful and compassionate. They have shown my the ins and outs of the role that I was undertaking and made my feel confident when it came time to drive clients through admissions, placement and financials. I absolutely love being part of a team as equally driven as I all in effort to collaborate and make treatment for Mental health available to the Tampa Bay Area coming soon ! 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part of working with the company is the clients. Watching their dedication to the work they do every day always encouraged me to come in, despite everything else going on. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful was the management and inconsistency of expectations. I was there during a huge shift in management and their overall unpreparedness and unrealistic expectation of workers was jarring. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is standard, it really does depend on the director and stability of the clinic. For this one, it was good at first and quickly deteriorated.

I worked at the clinic, and unfortunately, my experience was heavily impacted by the clinic manager’s micromanagement. They would call and text me on my days off, often asking for trivial or unnecessary tasks that could easily have waited. I constantly felt monitored, as they would check in so frequently that it became suffocating. Their constant involvement made it difficult to focus on my work without feeling scrutinized. On top of that, they would come up with random reasons for decisions or changes, often without clear explanations. This level of micromanagement ultimately drove me away, as it became impossible to work effectively or feel trusted in my role.

My experience with Pasadena Villa has been wonderful. From the beginning, I have received nothing but support as I transitioned into my new role.  I was greeted by outstanding coworkers and supportive leadership.  Each person was happy to have me on the team! Pasadena Villa cares about the community and the patients we serve. The collaboration amongst colleagues in unmatched and the atmosphere of team and personal growth is both encouraged and celebrated.  
I am excited to continue my personal and professional growth with Pasadena Villa. 

As a therapist at the Outpatient Center, we are facilitating groups for about three hours a day. Case loads are relatively small compared to other agencies so you have more than enough time to meet with everyone in a meaningful way. Client's are typically very motivated and enjoy the content. Management wants their clinicians to succeed so they do a wonderful job with supervision and clinical feedback.  

At PV the focus is on quality care for all our clients. I feel lucky to be part of such a caring organization with the best 1:1 coaching and mentorship. The job is fast paced so its best suited for individuals who can pivot quickly and respond to crisis appropriately. The best part of this job is seeing the impact that we have on clients everyday. The transformations are truly rewarding! 

As a newer employee of Pasadena Villa, but not new to the behavioral health world, I am impressed with the infrastructure this company has in place to ensure that their employees succeed.  Pasadena Villa is a network where everyone is willing to jump in and support each other.  Although I have not been with the company a long time yet, in my opinion, it speaks volumes when the energy of all the other employees I have come in contact with (across multiple states) are positive and enthusiastic about the work they do!

Working at Pasadena has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. The company's commitment to providing high quality care and a positive work culture is evident in every aspect. Every individual I have encountered have been beyond supportive and do everything and anything to make sure that I am succeeding in my position. The Pasadena Villa team is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, it is a delight to work with them.
