Equipment and Hours:

I have been working at PATLive for over a month now and I have had a great experience here. The people I work with are all supportive, patient, and very helpful. I feel so lucky to have been able to join this team! I am able to work comfortably from home, have flexible hours that work amazingly well for me, and the equipment needed for the job was provided; at no cost to me!

 Culture:  

I have worked in a call center environment before and was not very fond of it due to the lack of support. PATLive has been a completely different experience! Everyone here at PATLive is so incredibly helpful and patient. If you have questions, ANY questions, the supervisors encourage you to reach out and ask so that they can help. Everyone here at PATLive wants you to succeed and they know that we do that much better as a team. 

 Not only are the supervisors incredibly helpful and patient, but so are the onboarding team members. Any questions I had, any concerns about the process or even during, they made sure I voiced them and gave me clear and concise answers to them. I had a large gap of employment on my resume, so many other jobs didn't take a second look at me, however, the team at PATLive saw beyond that and I am so thankful and lucky that they did! 

 Management Support:

As we are working full remote at PATLive, sometimes you can miss the human interaction. You can't run into your co-workers in the hall like you normally would! However, management does an amazing job of making sure that we are all connected, even though we're working remote! I feel closer to some of my remote co-workers than I did with people that sat next to me in the office!

 Training:

Should you take the leap and join PATLive, you will first go through a training class, and I am so glad for that! My trainer was just as wonderful as everyone else I've spoken about and was so easy to speak with and understanding. You're going through a completely new process, so to have the amount of support and training that is available here at PATLive was wonderful. One of the processes we go through in training is called "Shadowing". You'll be watching and listening to receptionists and assistants take calls in real time to help prepare you for when you start. Utilize that time to take notes for things to ask your Shadow!

 Everyone wants you to succeed at PATLive. From your direct team members, to management. They want to make sure you have all the tools you need at your disposal and do what they can to make sure you have them. I can't remember the last time I've worked with such an amazing group of people and can't say enough good things about them. The patience, support, and understanding they've shown me has just been out of this world.

I have been with PATLive for approximately 6 months.  PATLive continues to be a wonderful place to work for.

The management here is probably the best I've ever had the pleasure of working with. My immediate supervisor always checks in to make sure everything is going well. He offers assistance without making it seem like I'm a burden. He's encouraging, positive, and truly wants to see everyone on his team succeed. I cannot think of anyone I've worked for, in my adult life, who is as supportive as my team leader. 

While on queue, there are team leads available to answer questions you may have about a call. It's encouraged to reach out to them for any and all questions. I've only had positive interactions with them. They are some of the nicest people and PATLive has done a fantastic job of finding encouraging and helpful people to place in team lead roles. 

The Human Resources Department is absolutely fantastic. During your first year, you will meet with them periodically and they will ask how things are going. They are listening and making suggestions to upper management about how to make the job better. I've seen several new programs put in place that were suggested by Virtual Receptionists and Virtual Assistants. It's such a breath of fresh air to work for a company that actually listens. 

The one thing that can be difficult, at times, is the call volume. You will also have some difficult callers however, through training and experience, you will learn how to handle these callers and your customer service skills will become stellar! There are paid 15-minute breaks throughout the day to help break up the call volume. 

The schedule is flexible. I am able to work part-time. My schedule is normally 5 days per week, all morning hours. If you need a day off, you can submit a few weeks prior to the date you need off and they can normally accommodate your schedule. If you need a day off without much notice, there is a place to post those hours and switch with another agent. My children do school at home. By the time my workday is over, my children's school day is getting started. I'm grateful for the schedule PATLive allows. 

I'm so thankful to work for a company that appreciates all of its employees. I adore this company!

A typical day of work in my position consists of assisting people with questions about voting, registering, deadlines, how to receive vote by mail, change voter information, act as a directory, etc., and I've learned a lot about the rules and procedures of voting thanks to this experience. I have one manager in our department who always over-performs, assisting anyone with questions in the timeliest of manners. The culture is excellent, we have a virtual water cooler where we can squawk about common issues, or just stuff in general. We are a very supportive small team. The hardest part of the job is either the call volume during election seasons, or when a hyper-specific question is asked, and we may not have the precise answer, but can usually direct them to someone who would.  The most enjoyable part of the job is the ability to provide clear and concise answers to most callers issues, there is rarely a circumstance where we cannot provide factual information according to the laws of voting in Florida, they are very yes or no questions, or they are redirected to the proper department that would handle their information.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part about working for PATLive was the flexible hours and working from home.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Although I didn’t know it at the time, the most stressful thing about working for PATLive was that your employment would end with no warning and for no reason other than “a reduction in workforce”.  Which is total BS because their website says they are hiring for part time receptionists in Florida.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is what you make it in the comfort of your home. As for the culture of the company, the best way to put it is clicky. You can choose to participate in frivolous contests and games that feign being part of a team, but it is all fake. No one in upper management cares about you and no matter how perfect your audits are, or how perfect your adherence to your schedule is, you will still be pulled off the phone at any point during your shift and be told that it is time to part ways!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day at PATLive begins with clocking in and then logging into Genesis, your script portal and the VPN.  You call yourself to establish a connection and go on queue and wait for your calls to start pouring in. Clock out and log off at the end of your shift and not give your job a second thought!

Since starting with PATLive, I have learned that this company treats all its employees like family no matter what! I am enjoying working at PATLive because it allowed me to work from home and have flexibility in my schedule. I am a single mother with two boys, and PATLive allows me to be a full-time employee as well as a full-time mother to my babies! A day in the life of a PATLive employee includes, answering phone calls, working on schedules, providing agents with feedback during audit meetings, grading calls for audits, as well as answering questions on live calls for the agents. At work, I’m looking forward to the future and what other opportunities arise! I’m proud to work at PATLive because no matter what you are going through, you can talk to someone about it. This could be another agent you went through training with, a supervisor or even HR with no judgement. Everyone is very honest and will do what they can to help you! Lastly, there are also some perks even being in this remote environment. We do giveaways, we offer bonuses on checks for different events we do. We have a customer service week where you can win prizes. Hopefully one day in the future once we are a larger company, we will be able to host meet and greets with agents who are not near our home office in Tallahassee, Fl

Working with the other employees and managers is awesome. Everyone is generally on the same page when it comes to work (or they are willing to help you get there). While there are some company competitions here and there, the focus is on your personal work rather than "beating everyone else". This tends to cause the employees to work together instead of working against one another (or stepping on others to advance).

That being said, the job itself does require a bit of emotional stability (especially at first). You'll deal with callers who are just happy to be talking to someone that may be able to help...and you'll deal with callers who are angry at the world and you are the first person they feel they can take their frustration out on (without fear of retaliation). In order to succeed at this job, you have to be able to enjoy the pleasant interactions and let the negative interactions roll off your back. Keep in mind that while they may be taking out whatever negativity on you, they don't truly mean anything against you.

I learned patience while working there, while taking calls from different types of callers having different needs. I learned to listen to their needs and provide them with the best product possible.

Management is very easy to talk to.  There was no appointment needed.  If they are in their office, they will take the time out to speak with you.  They were very friendly and understanding,

My co-workers are the best.  They are very friendly.  They are easy to talk to and do not keep up a lot of drama around the office.  They are a very caring bunch of people and often put others before themselves.

In the beginning the hard part was dealing with irate customers.  I learned that the customer is not mad at you just the situation and the best thing to do is to let them get it off their chest for a while before interrupting them.

Working with a group of people that you can get along with and they make you feel like you are actually apart of the team and not someone that just works there.

Overall
My experience working at PATLive was alright. I worked with nice people and had nice managers. I just kept getting docked on my calls because I didn’t say please and thank you enough or did not say the customer’s name 100 times. The customers can tell you’re being robotic so when you try to speak in a normal way with them you’re docked. I’d lose points on my calls for saying “um”. I mean I get wanting to have the upmost quality of customer service but you don’t have to be so strict on the small things. Customers loved speaking with me and I was able to accomplish what was needed on the call but still was graded lower than standard because of small things. It is not natural to always say “awesome” “perfect” “wonderful” after everything someone says. And then your calls are graded by people on your same level. There’s no separate or higher entity grading calls, it’s coworkers. Whose to say they’re not being petty or lazy. I left because it was just too much stress. Plus they take on clients who are not legitimate businesses so you get cussed out a lot by people receiving these scamming calls.

This is a wonderful place to work. They provide the equipment for working from home. They help with all the setup and are very patient with new hires. They are very forgiving with new hires as well. There is a lot of training for beginners, but you will also receive refresher course and additional training for promotions. It is not hard to get promoted at this company. Everyone is very positive as far as both co-workers and management is concerned. I've got the best supervisor I have ever had. He is very reliable and supportive and so are the other managers. The only real downsides to this type of work is dealing with rude callers and the Attendance and Call Out Policies are a bit tricky and it leaves a lot to chance to be successful. It works when it works, but it can be a lot to try to handle at times. Other than that, this is the best place to work. It has a healthy and positive environment. Everyone is very supportive of others through the good days and bad. The management is responsive and helpful at all times. You can always ask for help and it will always be there for you.
