Well being a temporary worker at People's was an honor. You have your own computer with your own desk and yes a keyboard and mouse. Being an employee there was cool, its peaceful but not to quiet, i didn't really make time to get to know any of the employees there but they was all considerably nice. I did not learn any new skills as far as what i already know but they did teach me to be more open minded with my work because it is healthy. The managers there are all nice and were willing ask me if i needed assistance and if i need the extra hand to just ask. The employees there made me laugh at times but we never ask to go out for lunch or anything. There never really was any hard parts to be honest, the job was for the most easy. Lunch was the most enjoyable part of the job because i could waist my time.

A typical day entails with me collaborating with every department to ensure all facility needs are being provided in order for our patients have the best clinic experience possible.

I have learned about ergonomics, maintaining an all inclusive facility, and various planning tactics.

Management is very accessible and eager to put all good ideas into action.

The workplace culture is very relaxed and offers a good work-life balance.

The hardest part of the job is coordinating the needs of the many department within the clinic and those of community partners.

The most enjoyable part of the job is a feeling of providing a great service for the community.

Most days are not typical and each day is a challenge to meet the needs of staff and community members.

I learned how manage my time with multiple projects and various needs of the clinic while maintaining a high standard for anyone entering the facility.

Management listens and acts on ideas brought forth by staff to maintain a high standard for our patients.

The hardest part of the job is going home every day knowing that you could have stayed and helped the clinic provide more resources for the community,

The most enjoyable part is almost everyone is appreciative of all roles that help make the clinic provide the best services possible to the community.

A Non Profit clinc. To help the Uninsured population. I alwys have it my best. There for the patient. Co-workers fun too. Although you had some team work.
The hard part .. was not able to help patients for Eligibility.. Over the Income or lived out of Travis.
Mangement..I guess O.k. some favored others. I had my own office and worked alone for awhile untill they saw that I needed help. I was doing Pedi and Adults referrals. I kept up with it for 1 1/2 years by self.

Not enough pay for the amount of work we have to do and you cannot get paid more then 17 a hour for the front desk or call center I think management should take some training as well they have no clue on how to
do their job .they all have attitude’s especially the adult coordinator who wants to work environment like that I think they should get a raise I’ve seen other jobs same positions with higher pay I highly don’t recommend unless you really really need the job 

Working for People's Community Clinic has been a great experience.  The work is challenging but rewarding.  Management has very high expectations of employees but they provide the support and training to get the job done.  The people that I get to work with are not only talented clinicians but they truly care about the underserved population here in Austin.  I've been here for a little over a year and I hope to stay for while!

A very close knit family at PCC that the company in different departments try to be proactive in contributing to company morale with different event, events, and appreciation days. Very fast, turnover rate for medical assistance with not a lot of structure to upper management new medical assistance don’t get trained or find difficulty getting their skills signed off on due to an availability of leadership

I like working here because it is accommodating. My co-workers are nice and welcomed me in easily. Learned a lot, EMR, lab duties, inventory, phlebotomy, finger sticks, etc. My manager is pretty flexible, if I need a day or if I need help she is willing to help. The hardest part could be performing lead tests, but I've gotten pretty comfortable with it now. The most enjoyable part is working as a team.

Management was great. It is a non-profit organization which helped needy families with many different resources including education of non-medical services, social services and mental health services. Everyone in this office helped each other and worked well with each other.
