I started at Pepper Source as temp. Employee until I was hired on full time. I started in production on the spice side of the company. I then moved into Quality control. Later I became a lab technician in the chemistry lab. Then I became the quality control supervisor. I only stayed in that position for a few months until I was promoted to assistant plant manager. Later I became plant manager. Pepper Source has a point system based on your attendance. If you loose to many points due to tardiness and missing work you will be terminated. But if you go to work like any adult should you get awards and money. So they basically give you extra money for just coming to work. As you can tell by how I moved up in the company there is plenty of room for advancement and more pay to go with it your raises are based on your job performance. This is a excellent place to work. Working at this company you get back what you put in. It you go to work and do your job you will love it there I know I did. I had to leave the company because I became very ill. This was the best place I have ever worked I hated leaving, The people that work there became my extended family.

This is a fast paced production environment, and they do a great job of keeping it clean and organized. It does require lifting up to 50lbs through the day, and they wear smocks and hairnets. These things aren't a fit for everyone, but for those of us who enjoy this kind of work, it's a really good job! Their attendance policy is more generous than a lot of other companies I have worked for, but they do hold you to it. The supervisors are really great to work with, and they do their best to take care of their employees while keeping everything running. They are willing to work with you, as long as you are willing to work with them. They have tons of giveaways, prizes, and bonuses they run for different things, which is super cool! The job can be hard work and busy a lot of the time, so they do their best to find incentives for everyone. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, this is not the place for you. There are no 'kick back and relax' jobs here, and people who are looking for a slow job are not a good fit. Overall, it is a great environment if the job is a good fit for you. 

peppersource human resource dept and upper mgmt are very unprofessional.  it's built on lies, deception, misleading work descriptions, poor evaluation sheet and when someone want you gone, you gone.  they have a 90 percent personnel turnover ratio between the two plants for the last five years.  Mgmt don't take any responsibility for failed production.  They use the "at will" arkansas law with great abuse.  Wasn't for the product selling it self, that place would fail due to poor mgmt.  There is no job training although you have to sign procedures that you had.  Communication between incoming shifts and leaving shifts doesn't happen.  Usually come on job site with no clue what has been done, what is being done and what has to be done.  Working with my machines and making them readily available for start up was my enjoyable part of my job.

Employer is willing to invest in the employee through development, training,  growth and enhancing thier potential. I have a background that while it overlaps that of my former employer it was not necessarily the same background. During onboarding/training the employer was always approachable and took the time to make sure as a new employee I felt comfortable in my role. The employer offers an excellent work life balance structure to include benefits, work place incentives and promotional opportunities. The company is diverse in its employee structure where there is potential for various backgrounds that is gladly welcomed. I feel the company truly extends its compassion for the employee in all regards to invest,  support and accommodate their needs while providing an opportunity to grow!  

Pepper Source, Ltd has a lot of potential. Due to poor leadership and unprofessional behavior the place is a mess. If they could get good leadership in there and people with some education the place would be a lot better off. Most of the other supervisors were toxic and unprofessional, they would use foul language, and make inappropriate jokes. Safety is not top priority either, Pepper Source, Ltd has a companywide issue with compliancy. Since it has been that way for thirty years it might as well be okay right?
But all in all, it is a good place to start your professional career, they hire almost anyone with decent work experience. But do not stay for a long time.

Pepper source Pay is low, Hours are long and they expect you to have no life outside of work. If you desire a job where you will be able to work 80+ hours a week, then you might like it. They expect you to work any and all overtime, will change your scheduled time in and out without notice and daily. Management from the top down is horrible as they make sure to protect each other and it is very much a do as I say not as I do and rules for thee but not for me company.

Over all most the hourly employees are normal people and fun to be around. But there is a very high percentage of pets and brown nosers. Supervisors work only to protect own jobs and will willingly throw even the best hourly employee under the bus.

Pepper Source only cares about 2 things, and you are not one of them.  The company is a great company, fairly easy jobs since they have everything broken down so much, but management makes work life extremely hard and frustrating.  You can forget about a normal 8 hr shift if someone calls in, you are expected to take their place 24/7.  The supposed supervisors don't do anything at all and will NOT help to get production finished. There is no team evironment. Instead of working with adults, it's more like working with a bunch of chi!Dren. You will not have a personnel life. According to the job, you are never allowed to miss work for any reason, doesn't matter what is going on in your life, you have to be at work. Enter at your own risk.

Pepper Source Rogers has been a great first full-time job experience for me. The office employees (especially the HR generalist) have all been helpful, present, and informative while the supervisors are all very knowledgeable and care for their employees. The company, as a whole, offers competitive attendance bonuses/ incentives and solid medical insurance as well as generous 401k and PTO/vacation programs. There is a pretty rigid point system in place for attendance- but ample leeway for loss of points, warning systems, and opportunities to earn back points. Overall, a great company that strives to be employee focused.

working with good people every day.Learning new things about parts nearly every day.Traveling on runs,meeting new people was great.Learning new addresses of different companies was fun and interesting.Getting jods done and things delivered making you feel you accomplished good things.Hardest part was lack of communication sometimes with newer employees,if they are not trained correctly,have to be patient about it.Takes little time sometimes.Every day was enjoyable cause you never knew what might come up on new runs or where you might have to go that day.Every day was different.Never a dull moment.

I have been with this company a little over 7 months and I absolutely love it here. Before I came here I worked in poultry plants which was constant stress all day everyday and I use to dread going to work. My time here has been the complete opposite. I have no stress, I enjoy what I do and coming to work everyday. Pepper Source is a fantastic company to work for. All employees are treated with respect and as a person not just another number.
