Data Entry is pretty easy for the most part once you get the hang of it but it's very momentous. While the tasks given are mostly easy, the volume of the work is way too high for the actual DE team at hand. The department is both understaffed and overtasked. This is to the point where staying for overtime is very, very common. 

While this is beneficial if you're looking for an amazon-esque infinite potential overtime for a lot of cash quickly. The pay rates here aren't that great for my department. Even with average performance the raises are not that well adjusted for inflation and very infrequent. Plus with how draining this work can be due to it's repetitive, demanding and monotonous nature it can be really hard to sit there hours upon hours. 

That's so to speak that this job's work culture is very taxing. There is very little room for downtime and any downtime is quickly counted against you. Which again can be chalked down to just high volume of work combined with constant demand for it to be done ASAP and perfectly. 

This task load is worsened by lack of communication between management and the grunt-tier workers. Protocols that are not announced, tasks having multiple ways of being done with differing results depending on who is checking the QA of the work. Micromanaging management, uncontrollable slowed work pace due to system or internet errors is still used against you by management as they demand even faster work despite suboptimal settings. 

Management themselves is overtasked, and overburderned unable to split their attention enough to ensure each employee has their needs met as they wear multiple hats. Although many in management are nice it feels as though they're ready to throw you under the bus at a moment's nice. Kindness is also often backed up with a passive-aggressive threat to pick up the work pace.

The work culture outside of the over bearing tasks demanded is alright. Most in the department are friendly though tension can arise when a task is not being completed or a task is being constantly shoved in someone's face as a reminder. There are definitely cliques within the department as any job would be. But there does some to be cliques based on age/race which isn't bigoted in itself but definitely shows signs of favoritism. 

As mentioned in the title the job is an all-consuming one not just due to the overtime demands but how often they make you work. For most in the department its an every other weekend + weekdays on the clock. This makes it difficult to accumulate vacation time as its often dumped on a weekend if you have an event or so to attend. On a regular basis however the constant overtime will cause an 8 hour shift to become a 9,10 or even 11-12 hour shift which despite the official clock out time at the end of a shift, this job will all too often alienate you from peers, hobbies, and other extracurricular activities. The time the job consumes, the PTO being used for weekends that you work and the energy draining nature of the job doesn't leave much for a more active life outside of working here. 

Of the few positives I can say here, it's that the job is a stable one if you keep up performance.  Moving up in the ladder here is possible but only through gaining a management based job or switching departments. If you aren't one to be looking to manage people there aren't many other avenues for growth. And the 
The insurance is good here if a bit expensive. 

To conclude if you would like an easy job that is repetitive with potential infinite overtime then this is it. Just be warned that if you live an active lifestyle such as someone that goes to the gym, has hobbies, goes away on events, or does evening classes or get togethers. This job will make that kind of work-life balance very difficult for not that much pay.

-Calling out for actual sickness is used against you. (No difference between calling out due to an actual illness vs. Calling out to party)
-Poor communication between management and frontline employees.



I worked at PharmScript for several years and dedicated a tremendous amount of time and effort to my role. The job itself provided valuable experience in pharmacy operations, data entry, workflow management, and working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The workload could be demanding, and there were many periods where long hours and extensive overtime were expected to keep up with business needs.

Unfortunately, my experience with management significantly impacted my overall opinion of the company. Throughout my employment, I consistently met performance expectations, completed my responsibilities, and took pride in the quality of my work. Despite this, I often felt that I was held to a different standard than others within the department. Policies and procedures that were supposed to be applied consistently did not always appear to be enforced equally, which created frustration and concerns about fairness.

One of the most challenging aspects of working there was the lack of support and resources available while still being expected to maintain the same level of performance as teams that had additional assistance. At times, the environment felt more focused on fault-finding and micromanagement than employee development and collaboration.

My employment ultimately ended over allegations that I strongly disagreed with and believed were unsupported. During the unemployment process, I felt the facts did not support the reason given for my termination. That experience reinforced concerns I had developed over time regarding management practices and consistency in the application of company policies.

The most enjoyable part of the job was working with many of the technicians and coworkers who genuinely cared about their work and patients. The pharmacy industry can be rewarding, and I learned a great deal during my time at PharmScript. However, concerns regarding management, communication, accountability, and workplace culture prevent me from recommending the company as an employer.

Pharmscript of OH is a sinking ship, and most of the crew is abandoning it. It literally starts from the top-down. Corporate/HQ is one of the biggest roadblocks to work-life balance, employee appreciation/recognition, competitive wages, raises & promotions. But, they can't take all of the blame, as managers lower on the corporate ladder couldn't be bothered to fight Corporate for change.

Branch managers and supervisors are flying by the seat of their pants, learning how to manage as they go along, without inspiring much motivation or confidence in their staff.

Management at the Ohio branch is SO lenient, in fact, that some people will take 15-20 minute bathroom breaks on the daily, screw around on the job, have consistently low performance/attendance, and little to no disciplinary action is taken against them. Techs walk all over them, like a doormat, because they are too panic-stricken for confrontation. Management will -- MORE OFTEN THAN NOT -- turn the other cheek just to keep the peace and to keep people happy. But at a high price.

Low performing/lazy employees have no consequences, it falls on the productive employees to pick up all the slack, leading them to burn out quickly and lose motivation to maintain their high output. Talented employees are leaving in droves because they are sick of the BS in regards to what little pay they're given in comparison to the amount of responsibility thrust upon them by management.

Management always promises that change is coming and that there's light at the end of the tunnel. Those words are as pretty as they are hollow. 

It's a pretty terrible place to work unless you're on the admin side. I definitely wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking for pharm tech or pharmacist jobs. Being on the administrative side, the pay is good, benefits are pretty good, and your managers are likely to be better. That being said, the bar for management is very low. They promote people to manager from within most of the time but then they don't provide any training. So you end up with biased managers who don't know how to manage and got the job because they were there the longest. That is being on the administrative side too. If you're a tech, you'll likely be dealing with racist managers. There is no conflict resolution for the techs either. They can submit 5 complaints but nothing will come of it. It is a very toxic work place no matter what department you work in. Management pits you against your coworkers and the gossip is terrible. Trying to work with other departments is also a struggle. That is more to do with the workers but management doesn't step in. There is tons of favoritism. Depending on the manager you can make use of your PTO. There is a 401k but the matching is awful. The insurance is expensive and doesn't provide the best coverage. It is difficult to see doctors because they don't use a normal insurance, it's a third party. It is difficult to explain but many doctors don't take it. They are pretty understanding about childcare issues. They let you work from home a few times a week. They do try to accommodate as best as possible with any emergencies. Overall, I've worked at worse places but I've also worked at better places. 

1). Pays more than compared to others. However the long work nights and drama doesn’t make it work it. 2). Management does do not care about their employees. They are more concerned with drama and gossiping. Thus creating a toxic atmosphere. 3). There’s no security for the night shift. No cameras on the outside of the building. Nothing. 3). They tell you when you go on night shift you’ll be getting off at a certain time (11:30pm). That’s not true. Some nights you can be there until 4am. Again Management does not care because they get off whenever they want and show up whenever they want while everyone else is pulling 20 hours of overtime. 4). Too many supervisors and none of them are professional or have any type of leadership skills. 5). While working night shift you are still expected to show up at scheduled time the next day even if you did stay there until 4am. Which a lot of the time is less than 12 hours between those times. 6). All of the techs are over worked and under appreciated. 7) There is a lot of extreme favoritism. Management will promise a position just to take away from you and give it to someone else before you even start without telling you. 8). The supervisors don’t advocate for their teams. 9). Supervisors and management gossip and stir up drama all day every day. Management tells supervisors personal and confidential information about other employees. I could go on and on but I would not recommend being a floor tech for this company. The most draining environment I’ve ever been in. 

If you need insurance expect half your paycheck to be taken every 2 weeks.  I paid 1200  a month for ins. No one can live off 350 a week take home.  Lack of compassion if something happens with your health before you can file for FMLA.  I was told they "don't normally do ADA's" and was sternly told i was an exception.  They do not have the same facade for their employees that they claim to have for their customers.  No time to use the restroom even though it's work from home and the pay doesn't touch the amount of work they expect you to do.  If you don't have a life and just want to work and don't need ins, this is perfect for you.  Holidays were a must including christmas. Management drops subtle hints on what you do wrong as a group, its never addressed person to person. So  if you're doing something incorrectly, it makes  it hard to understand if it's something you're doing wrong or if it's someone else. My trainers were nice always answering my questions but my first day my manager didn't seem to want to be bothered with setting up my vital work related email folders and rushed through with things not going where they needed to go. So my emails never worked right asking it hard to find the emails I needed.   Also the company lags in up to date technology still having emails manually sorted by people, constant updates or system lags which slow down the process even more.  This place wasn't for me but maybe it will be for you.  

Started out pretty chill and relaxed when I first started. I love all my co-worker techs and most of the pharmacists too. What really ruins the place are the managers. Recently there has been this new rule that banned earbuds, this is unheard of in a warehouse environment. The norm used to be one earbud on ear is okay. One of the manager's said speakers is okay but another has a  problem with any music being audible around them so this was not a solution. There is constantly work added and zero downtime. The tech leads used to be cool but lately due to management pressure they are trying to operate this facility like an Amazon sweatshop but worse. I have heard some of my co-workers written off for taking days off from situations out of their control even after they explain. Doesn't matter if you are sick and had an accident; immediate writeup. Lastly don't trust the orchestrated fake smiles of your managers. They will use this to lure you into this environment then they will pimp as much work out of you till you're broken. Zero remorse for the turnover rate; anyone who leaves is a weakling in their eyes. The world must be primarily filled with worthless people in their eyes. One of the managers has even said to the entire staff in a random floor meeting and I quote "Don't any of you get too comfortable in your positions know that at any time you are replaceable." 

There are red flags from day one but the number one is that management does NOT care at all about any worker including the ones that show up and do the work with integrity. They will take advantage of those who display loyalty and kindness. Especially if you work the closing shift, they expect you to stay to closing even if that means leaving at 5am every day of the week.

They love blaming HR for their problems but really they just do NOT care. As long as their titles are protected, they do NOT care how people suffer miserably or how unfair and unreasonable everything is. 

The funny thing is they cater to people who are problem makers because they have to make sure they don't lose their jobs. So if you like getting away with doing as little as possible, just kiss their butt and you'll be fine. 

But if you try holding them accountable, I suggest you be very careful about it because they will ostracize you or make you look like the bad guy to take the fall. 

And even for pharmacists, they are even more overworked and overwhelmed with unfair and unreasonable expectations. Everyone in management has their favorites, so if you are not a favorite, then be prepared to be miserable for as long as possible until they find ways to write you up so they can fire you or until you quit on your own. 

For the most part the job itself, the co-workers and management are good and very welcoming. There are a few employees who act like they are supervisors or management, but in reality are just floor technicians! Avoid these people, they will use you and blame you for anything that will potentially go wrong.

Be careful about who you tell anything to here. There are a few ladies who have nothing better to do than talk bad about fellow co-workers behind their backs. They have an all round negative attitude about everything.

Eventually the best people get bored, feel undervalued and move on. A revolving door of staff. All this while the company is taking on more facilities. No consideration for the small core of staff who have to deal with the  added stress, probably underpaid for their work. 

Not competitive with other pharmacy technician positions in the Columbus area. This place could be great, if corporate put a little more effort in to compensating and giving employees things to work towards, with potential promotions down the line.

The pharmacy used to be good early last year, right now is a mess and touched bottom line, high turnover rate and favoritism by management.  

No HR on-site you can talk to, I never experienced a more unprofessional manager in my life which trickles down to all employees. HR and operations have no idea what the manager is doing, and it shows that you cannot get a clear answer about anything.

Manager is a joke and unprofessional! Inside pharmacy workload is very heavy, they overwork you and they cut off your pay. Many people left, some got forced to leave. The manager pretends to be nice to people, behind the scenes has a hidden agenda all the time.

If they start you with average rate, don't expect a good pay raise after a year if you get there it will be very low one so, you will be overworking every day until the job is completed. When people taking PTO for a call out there is no one to cover, you will have to multitask and work for two-three people, if you complain about it, your pay will be cut off! 

When you looked back, the pharmacy was great until mid-last year. It's so sad for the patients in nursing homes and the company, in what hands the pharmacy left on to be managed.
