As with any job, your experience there highly relies on the type of people and workers your team members are, but more so it relies on the type of managers you have. And that, of course, differs everywhere.. but a few things I found in common with all the Piccadilly restuarants is that they do not care that you have a life outside of work. 

Unless, of course, you are a favorite. I had some amazing managers and some really bad ones. 

If you work at a training location and have a bad assistant manager, just wait them out. They come and go. 

If you work as a cashier, do not expect to move up or to any other position, because they can't replace you since it is so hard to find people who are reliable and can pass background checks. 

And keep in mind that cashiers have to also work on the serving line too. In fact, you might find yourself being requested to do more than what's in your job description.

It's also hard to ever get a raise. They promise a raise every year after an evaluation if you pass, but managers never get around to it. And people who got raises right before covid lockdowns ended up getting their raises revoked because of cuts.

Also, all this covid chaos is making the customers and work environment more hostile than usual, so people are quiting left and right. The customers who dine there are a different breed, I swear. 

And the fact they can watch your every move as you are tending to the line or serving their food is nerve rattling. And trust me, they watch (especially now during covid) and they are vocal about anything they don't like. 

The work itself is demanding as you are on your feet for 9+ hours a day in the heat and steam. And now with the masks, it feels like you cannot breathe. 

Do not expect to want to or even be able to do anything once you get home.

You have to call for food to refill the line and carry these heavy hot pans of sometimes liquid around and place them into the slots over pits of scolding hot water. Pro tip: the steam will get your worse than the pans or food. 

And sometimes, when it gets really busy, you have to do this while also, at the same time, trying to tend to customers in the line. 

It gets really overwhelming sometimes, especially when people start asking how long something will be or order something that is already backordered so you have to make sure the cooks know to put down more. 

When it does get really busy, a manager is suppose to come help and call for food and refill the line so you can focus on customers. 

Oh and there are no Sundays off. Everyone has to work Sundays because of church crowds. And they are the worst crowd. You'd be amazed. Sundays are the like the final boss battles for new employees. 

Also, you are not allowed to take home food if you worked that day. Not even if you are leaving and taking your unfinished meal with from lunch. The rule is you will be automatically fired if you're caught. 

There are suppose to be 10 minute breaks that they apparently aren't obligated to give you but of course you obviously need. If it is too busy, you have to power through it and when it gets slow, you have to pray manager isn't too busy or lazy to cover you. 

And cashiers, good luck ever getting a 10 minute break.

A typical day at Piccadilly was development and training of team members.  Being in touch with guests need and expectations. Ensurance of all company stantards and guideliness.  Bringing a fun and exciting work experience.  I learned at lot about outisde marketing, testing of new products and strengthening of training managers.  Open door policies,istening to the needs of my team members and guests.  Ensurance that the management team is on the same page and expectaions are set and followed.  My team was a great team.  The team ensured that thier passion for the job showed through with each other and the guests.  My  team was the main factor in ensuring all operations were met. My team was proud of thier job and was able to put thier input into all operations and ensured thier voices were heard.  Hardest part of the job was not meeting sales goals, losing expectations of guests as well as my team.  The most enjoyable part of the job was having my guests come back and briniging others because of thier experience. Sharing results with my team members. Sharing my goals and  ensuring the goals of the store are met and they are proud of being a part of our team.

I spent a great amount of time at this job. The atmosphere is nice, the job is fun, the coworkers are like family. The thing is , the prices keep going up for the customers but they only want you to fix their plate with a minimal amount of food. So management will get on to you and constantly tell you that you are over serving the customers but when the customers complain that you aren't giving them enough food for their money, then management turns around and gives them more food but they don't stick up for their employees. Also they only have to give full time employees paid vacation so you know what they'll do, drop everybody hours down to right below full time so that nobody qualifies for paid vacation. They cut hours down whenever they feel like it, so if you can't pay your bills after they cut hours oh well! There's no heads up or warning either. The pay rate you start at will remain the same throughout your employment with them. Only time your pay will increase if minimum wage goes up and only if happens to be more than what they are paying you at the time. You don't get full time so of course they don't have to provide you any health or dental benefits.

First GM I worked under was fantastic, fair, strong, assignments were clear and he listened to your opinion or complaints.  He was tough but fair.  You worked long hours overtime like he did but you knew he appreciated what you did.

Second GM sneaky, said one thing did another behind your back.  Lied, lazy, didn't allow you to work as a team.  If other departments or team members needed help because I was an assistant manager he felt I should not help them as he put it I'm not paying you to help them.  Frankly he wasn't paying me at all the company was and in order to make a business run smooth and stay healthy you need to work together as a team not against one another.  

If he accused someone of something because your position was in management he expected you to back him up even when you knew his decision was wrong.  I can't work that way.

* what i learned at Piccadilly's was how to make there food with good care, and lots of hands on prepping motion, and customer service care.

*the management was pretty clean and organized, in good environment, fast quick, and professional manner.

*the workplace culture was around decent people, clean environment, with respectful manners, and good customer care.

*the hardest part about my job was when it was slow, BC i needed to stay at a fast and steady pace to not get bored. 

*the most enjoyable part of my job was when i was busy, and when i was able to make all kinds of food in the kitchen for customers the way they asked for it, bc i love to take care of my customers as needed.

On a typical day, I'd clock in for work, and wait for guests to sit in my assigned sections which I would serve them as a waiter. 

The parts I did enjoy about my job are that there were guests that remembered me, and sat especially in my sections only. They were friendly, and my co-workers were supportive. 
 
At that time, business was massive, and tips were accumulating greatly.

Management didn't do anything, just basically walked around watching everyone. When a customer asked a supervisor to help them with a concern, they never had a solution. Some guests stop coming to the restaurant. New managers joined, and some got let go. They were stealing company money, and all types of  crimes.

This job helped me during high school. I was able to save a lot of money because I worked my butt off as usual.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I learn more knowledge about the cash register ,where I am sorting the debit card, the Visa cards ,the MasterCard ,etc. etc. and learning how to find my mistakes .with money at the end of this Shelf. Set the register for the next day . put money away in the safe.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The head cook come  out of the kitchen Screaming at you and you do not work in the kitchen I’m on the cash register . that is if I worked the line cook and cash register also Very stressful day..

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very happy on Monday at 4:00 p.m 
We had a musical band very romantic day

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very Tiresome to long of time at work..my hours was to long off a day.

long day with no changes everyday was the same. i learned how to convert receipes and how to run a service line. great emplyees they just was never happy because most of them been working there for 10 years or more and still making minimun wages. the hardest part of the job was doing the same thing every day. I came i nout of training working hard to improve the dress code for employees, cleaning the store, staying true to receipes, improving guess service, and the other managers treated me as if i was a threat to them which made every day very hard to work. I also noticed theft within the store (managers) and when i reported it, it back fired on me. There was also no room for growth in the company. the salary was the most enjoyable part of the job.

I usually prepared and cooked food for our serving line as either the fry cook (who also was responsible for the grill), or the steam table cook, who was also responsible for what went on the stove and or oven. I learned some new things, like how to make carrot souffle and broccoli rice casserole. My co-workers were always in good spirits and fast workers. The hardest part of my job was the incompetents of  
management, who were steadily either being replaced or fired. Due to stealing or just bad management, but we made due even though half the time we didn't have enough food ordered. The most enjoyable part of my job was cooking with my co-workers who always kept the mood light even when we were busy.  

Most of the time workers are hard working and will do a good job. Advancement on the job is very limited. On a typical work day we begin with line meeting where we are told what is on menu for the day, this is also the time to voice any problems you are having. The different things I have learned from this job is how to set up a line and what it takes to run a cafeteria style restaurant. Most of my co-workers are good people who work very hard at their jobs. The hardest part of the job is working on Sundays we are  always busy.The most enjoyable part of the job is the guest that come in the restaurant.
