There are two types of employees at Piramal. Those who work in administration and those who work in production. The small number of people who work in production, are taking care of the paychecks of the enormous army of useless people in administration. It is not clear what those administrative vultures even do and why they are so many. Production is like a concentration camp where people have no rights and are forced to work until they die. Time off for employees is not an option and if anyone tries to raise their voice, then they are told if they don’t like it, they should not work for the company. 18-hour shifts for some employees was a norm and those people were called early in the morning again to keep working without much rest. There is a Manager of People position in production, and its title sounds very good and it seems like that the whole purpose of the position is to take care of the people. Sadly, it is exactly the opposite. The person who is trusted with the position is nothing more than a very bad manager sadistically enjoying the abuse of employees. There isn’t a single manager at the company who cares to follow any rules of respect and decent treatment toward people who work there. No manager actually has the guts to raise their voice and emphasize the terrible work conditions enforced by their superiors. As long as they get paid, they allow themselves to stay quietly and scared in their corners to support their pathetic lives.

Everyone is so nice that it's difficult to even tell that you're not being supported until you're already failing. Peer-level coworkers are very supportive and kind and willing to help, but it's always at their own expense. I worked several hours of overtime almost every week, often very late nights despite a shift that began at 7 a.m. 
Training is so disorganized that you will often find yourself retraining on things you already do because someone has lost your paperwork or it was performed incorrectly/by someone who wasn't qualified to train. 
You are expected to create your own schedule for performing duties, but also that schedule is subject to change at any time when managers give you new work with tight deadlines, and then you're disciplined for not getting everything done even though it's impossible. 
Micro manager is very nice, but the rest of them are rude, insensitive, and insulting, often publically and intentionally. 
I have a disability and was told it would be accommodated, but was still expected to perform the most physically demanding testing the department had with no accommodations. 

This place is a rolling avalanche of trash. Easy job but high stress. There is much opportunity for advancement but all the people who have moved up from within hate their new job the same or more than before they were promoted. Knowing that people who have been given promotions for their hard work and it still not being rewarding sets a grim/death like mood at work. I do believe they are trying to turn things around, but I've been hearing people say the same thing for a years now so it's hard to be to confident until real changes occur. There is NO training and when the poorly put together process fails or the extremly unreliable machinery breaks the lower down people are blamed and or fired. If you really enjoy management using you as a scapegoat and being extremely unappreciated this is the place for you. If you have a family I would highly recommend staying away from this place. Most Holidays are up in the air and just depends on what is being worked on at the time. The stress of work will 100% follow you home.

The job itself is awesome. You never feel overwhelmed with the actual job.

Pay is competitive with the industry.

Benefits are good but they double in price every year

The schedule isn't too bad. You work 84 hours over 2 weeks only working 7 out of 14 days. You get every other weekend off.

There is zero room for advancement unless you are willing to go to night shift.

The management is slowly running the job into the ground. The director of operations that started about a year ago is a narcissistic control freak who bullys everyone to get what he wants and everyone under him is terrified to stand up against him.

 We have a superintendent, 4 supervisors, 4 team leads, and about 30 operators. Close to 40 people in my department and about 10 of them are all related or grew up together since childhood. That includes the superintendent, 2 supervisors, and 2 team leads. It feels like you won't go anywhere in this company unless you are part of the family and if one of them doesn't like you they all gang up on you which effects your raises and promotions.

I would love for this place to straighten up because I used to love working here

This company is in the works of trying to turn itself around. Poor management and leadership has caused this highly regulated company to fall into the red. Recent advancements have been made that should guarantee the future of this company as a local powerhouse in the generation of inject-able pharmaceuticals. While this is happening though tensions are high and the stress has everyone a little on edge. Their attitude towards working hard is great, although expect to work more than 40 hours a week. Management is no nonsense and aseptic practices are taken seriously. I have high hopes for the future of the company, and I expect that it will in time become a great place to work, not just a good place.

This company is swimming in chaos and the bottom is its next destination. After being acquired by Piramal, there were major management replacements in the local site of the company, falsely giving signs that something will be done to revive it. It is not working, and it is just a fake management positivity to hide the failure. Employee turnover is very high and people are leaving disgusted by the bad work conditions. Employees are at all time threatened by termination and the work environment is very hostile. Management will fire people for anything they want and there is nothing that can be done about it. Human Resources department is technically not existent and the stuff there are just puppets of management who are happy to collect their paychecks without any care for employees.

There isn't a structured training program to help onboard new employees. Because you are new, you are treated hatefully by some of the team leaders and managers. Very unprofessional. Company hasn't made a profit in years and will likely get sold to the highest bidder within the next year or two. They've fired people in the corporate office because they said they aren't making enough money to sustain the business?? How does a pharma company not prosper during COVID?? Oh, they don't consistently practice safe practices and they also don't make people wear masks or wear them properly, during the pandemic.

Team is responsive and professional. Commitment to achieve the goals.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Executive Leadership Team and lack of understanding and establishing goals that would drive the company to better performance and compliance. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Finger pointing, ELT blaming people and not available to support the teams. Message is: “do it”. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very productive at operational level and stressfull at managerial level.

Piramal Lexington is an extremely toxic place to work. Be prepared to work long hours (15+ hour days) with no benefit or compensation for exceeding 40 hours if salaried. They promise raises, promotions, and to hire more people to reduce the number of hours worked, but after several years of working there, no relief has come. People hire on and quickly return to previous jobs or look elsewhere. People who have been there years are jumping ship quicker than PPS can train and replace them, increasing the work burden. The only redeeming thing about PPS is the people who work there. You won't find a harder working group of people. Unfortunately, management uses and abuses these people until they break.

There’s a reason everyone with 10+ years experience left and employees rarely stay more than 3 years: management can’t lead/plays favorites; managers/leads date employees; toxic office politics; training is inadequate; zero work/life balance despite what you’re told at the interview; HR and leadership demonstrates conflicts of interest and bias; contrived corporate culture. The company gave some departments a covid bonus, but not the other departments when everyone, except leadership, was on-site every day through the pandemic.
