What is the best part of working at the company?
It gave me experience on how to score keep games and learn more about sports.

Working the scoreboard and coaches screaming at you.

Scoreboard on, focus on game and correctly work the scoreboard

Its an alright place to work. Pretty easy if you already know the rules of volleyball. Just be prepared to deal with annoying parents who are prepared to interrupt the game over one point. 
Other than that management was pretty good during the time I worked. If things got too out of hand with parents management would step in and help out.
I didn’t talk with a lot of the other referees but the ones i did talk to were really nice.  

I liked being an umpire because I got to choose when I worked. It was very flexible which worked well with my busy school schedule. I play softball so it was enjoyable to watch other kids enjoy the sport. The only thing I didn't like about it was that during the summer it was extremely hot outside and sometimes I worked 3-4 games in a row which made me feel bad.

The job was fairly simple in that I signed up for a slot online every week and I would go in five minutes before the game and referee maybe two or three games every day. The pay was fair and training was done before the season so everything was uncomplicated and efficient.

Plano Sports Authority is a workplace with alot of learning potential for job development. The amount of opportunities are limited but hours and the amount of work are not limited. The management needs reorganizing but overall it was a good work experience.

Retain knowledge of camp rules and regulations. Learned the importance of balancing money in order to make sure the business was run properly. I was able to help run a lacrosse camp by instructing the children the basics of the midfield position.

While the job is kinda fun, they don’t pay very well, and raises are promised and are still unfulfilled months later, even then raises are very small. Management could also use some work, and schedules don’t come out until Saturday for the next week, and schedules can change the same day, and you will not be notified.

If you work in the office, be prepared to not have all information you need to complete your daily tasks. Customers are wonderful and this is a great place for you if you're retired and looking to get back I to the work force.

I worked here as a camp counselor during summer and winter break and it was great! We were also able to pick our own schedules. Sometimes the kids were tough to work with but that's expected. 100% recommend!

Overall an excellent place for a young adult to work. The management is great and the coworkers are friendly. Lunch and other food is free, as a counselor the kids can be a handful on occasion but besides that there aren't any negatives.
