Started in the call center not long before COVID hit & everyone went remote. The office in Watertown was seriously drab. Florescent lights and gray cubicle walls everywhere. Ick! I don't miss it. The training was fun though and the guy who lead it was quick with the dad jokes. 

WFH is a great perk of this job. Not having a commute every day is amazing and gives me back so much time. But I do miss interacting with my teammates more. During training we would have lunch together in the cafeteria and you could get to know people. Hard to do anything like that remote. We have occasional team meetings but it's usually just on zoom and no one has cameras on and it's just the supervisor or leads giving a presentation. It would be nice if there was more engagement. Like everyone goes in office 1 day a quarter or something. Some of my teammates I have never even seen in real life. 

Another perk of this job is tere's a lot of opportunities to move up & also make more money. You can get raises (outside of the annual merit raises) by going through trainings in different queues (Ironically, when I got trained in these additional queues, I actually got less calls per shift. I wasn't expecting that. I guess it's because those queues are more specialized? ?) Promotions within the department are frequent and I've seen others who started the same time as me get promoted (team lead) or move on to other departments. Lots of room for advancement. 

Biggest negative is the scheduling. When I started I accepted a super late shift because I figured I'd be able to move to a better/earlier one after a few months on the phones. Took a LOT longer than I expected. With all the new people they're constantly bringing in, why can't they have them fill the less desirable shifts and give the more tenured CSRs preference to the better shifts?  



My current position is challenging and engaging.  I really love how I'm able to be independent and not micromanaged at all.  My team is supportive and the benefits/pay are fantastic.  The bad news is that once the merger that created this company went through, they had near total turnover in upper management, to be replaced by shills interested in making money over care.  I used to believe in our mission and that we were a true nonprofit, but now it's constantly finding ways to cut corners, even eliminating entire departments.  Oddly enough, they also find ways to waste money just as much constantly.  Our corporate culture is splashed everywhere in our building, but every word about accountability, service, and a commitment to learning feels like a lie.  No one should feel safe in their career.  Unless you're an executive looking out for yourself.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They had a breech/ some past employees hacked into their system and blew it up. Any new employee comes on but may not make it because their systems are not working correctly. Therefore you are a scapegoat. Good pay but you won't be there long.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
If you are not scapegoated it is not a hard job. But if you past the exams and not all the open book criteria are accurate at this company. Then you may be there for a while.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Relaxed but the culture and work environment were not a problem.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Typical work day nothing different from any other company, if you get that far.

The work culture makes it hard to even handle your work load. You are left to figure things out on your own. Management has declined over the years and it shows. Sups and team leads are rude and talk to you any kind of way, barely do their jobs, and leave you high and dry to figure out  issues with members. Things are added to your plate without metrics being adjusted or even being compensated for more work you do. Dealing with members takes a heavy toll as you get into at least 1 back and forth a day. Company doesn't really seem to care. They say all the words and dont put action behind it and you're left depleted, burnt out and then some.  Its decent pay and you get a raise based off your performance every year 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Good remote schedule. Everyone is fairly nice.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management. They don’t encompass psychology safety. Any time you have an idea, it is shot down. There is no openness. And management gangs up on you to beat you down when you make a mistake. Not a healthy environment to learn anything. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Meeting after meeting, culture is ok. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Meetings, and being swamped with assignments. People are generally nice and will help when asked.

I'm a virtual member services rep in training. So far, the training is great. All the trainers are amazing and super helpful. Leadership has been very supportive. Being on camera for 8 hours is a little exhausting and distracting at times, but I'm getting used to it. Working from home is awesome and this company has no intention of forcing people back into office, which makes me feel lucky that I was hired on. I'm excited for the future opportunities.

I have no stressful part at this time the majority of the members are pleasant and I work with a great team

The work environment is great I work from home and the culture is very diverse

A typical day for me is when the phone rings nonstop and I solve a lot of members problems or questions  at the in end of the day everyone happy

Everyone is a team player.  Everyone I worked with was helpful, knowledgeable and was amazing to work with.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
During very heavy call volume it was hard to get help with some difficult questions.  Everyone was so busy that it was hard to get quick answers.

Amazing.  Like every company there is a bottom line they look at.  But you feel seen and heard here.

Good Pay-Great Training and Supervisors

I have not experienced any stress so far

Typical virtual training. Very thorough

When I worked for this company, it was the best decision I've made. The pay is great, hours are good and your team members are very supportive, they check on you daily and answer questions you may have. Never had an issue. Had to leave for personal reasons but if given a chance I would definitely go back!
