You get to work 12 hour days, 4 days on, 4 days off. If you work the day shift, be prepared to deal with managers that don't communicate or know anything about maintenance. You get to be treated like children and are always the reason why a manager isn't happy/things are not going right/loss of production/people feeling sick/and every other reason they can think of. You constantly have to sign "updates" to company "policy." Safety is only a concern when OSHA or the owner is there. You are known as a number, not a person. There are special privileges to managers favorites or people from the Texas plant. The bathrooms are filthy, covered in graffiti and used toilet paper because of different ethnic groups fighting. It is hot in the summer and the swamp coolers rarely get turned on and cold in the winter as the heaters rarely get turned on. Management rarely comes out of their office and usually barks orders over the radio. The area where managers are is off limits except to a selected few. There is constant rework of the same thing due to managers and engineers that don't know what they want. There is also machines that are purposely broke by production so they can take breaks. Don't every expect to get a raise and if by some lucky chance you can, it will be 25 cents or less. The philosophy is if you want to get paid more, work more hours.

The person who owns this place has no idea of what goes on within. He is not available to hear your issues even though it states there is an open door policy. It seems like the whole company is afraid of the owner. The employees are extremely unhappy and there is no reward for doing your job and hitting your targets. Raises are in .25 increments so how are you supposed to get motivated over a quarter?You get a $25 gift card every 5 years how ridiculous is that. You can work there 25 years and only get a total of $125 to thank you for your loyalty. The company only cares about pounds. Not people. There is no incentive to go above and beyond or be a loyal employee. Most of the people there have no drive and they are usually older employees who won’t complain about their rights or too scared to demand better. The schedule forces you to work OT in order to make a decent living. The point system states it’s no fault but it affects your raises and promotion if you have too many. The single parents can’t miss a day to take care of their sick child without getting a point. So that let’s you know the company doesn’t care about family or loyalty. No bonuses no incentives. Only a check that you worked extremely hard to obtain.

What is the best part of working at the company?
This question leaves me completely blank.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Twelve hours of hard labor isn't even necessary to keep those machines running. I left four months ago and I'm still wearing scars from this place. All the twists and turns and lifting and carrying boxes at their pace has all but crippled me. The Packers are overworked, for sure. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very diverse environment. Friendly enough crew.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Overwhelming. As a packer, there's no moment to catch a breath. The machine continuously spits out the product and the packer twists and turns and carries and gets burned, stacking the pallets as , at least four people, stand around socializing while you work and try to catch yourself up. Oh, all the while, the machine operator is coaching yyon how to operate the machine, in case of an emergency, because they can't be bothered to operate the machine themselves, as machine operators.  Oh, and it may take ten minutes to get to the break room, which leaves you about ten minutes to heat up and inhale your lunch and relieve yourself in a dungeon of a bathroom. Good times.

Although the co pay insurance is good and you work 4 days and are off 3 (if you work nights) these people don't care about their employees and they never intended to. I started feeling ill months after I began working here, and I noticed it was only when I came in for my shift. And I discovered that the chemical Wich they use to make these plastic bags contain the chemical called "Polyethylene" Wich in laboratory experiments caused "Neuroological effects" and "lung inflammation" in laboratory mice. For that reason I would not recommend anyone to work here. Unless your willing to ware a p100 respiratory particulate mask for your own safety. These people (the company) does not and will not let you know that they are without your notice putting your health at risk by making you Inhale their pollution, until you begin to fill I'll and realized it for your self. As for myself I began getting small mole dots all over my arms and I'm hoping it isn't some type of cancer. But I am now warring a p100 m3 disposable mask and looking for a better more responsible employer. These people are criminals thugs!

The only good thing in this company is the schedule everything else it trash management are a mafia if you don’t have nobody working there you wouldn’t grow you stay in the same spot they said you would get pay raise in 60 days and that’s a lied i worked there for 2 years only 1 raise and it was only $50 cents I lot of racist manager and supervisor if you are not Mexican your not going to grow in this company, HR don’t do their job you go there to complain about somebody and they don’t even care about it they protect all managers and supervisor. If you get hired to work for building 1 you going to be in the worst building ever trust me. You have to carry a roll that weight 65 pounds  every 1 minute by yourself for 11 hours thing that when HR hired you they don’t tell you, they don’t know what’s going on inside the company just everybody sucks in this company the pay is terrible for all the thing you have to do don’t recommend the job at all.

The best part of the job is the lots of overtime. If I knew better, I would have remained a packager. Being a machine operator on the extrusion lines was very stressful and once you become an operator, it is difficult to change to another department. However, being a machine operator on the conversion lines is easier and less stressful; if the Company can incorporate more of conversion, it would be most beneficial to everyone. Also, the human resource personnel at the time I left was terrible at their job; could not address any concerns that I had despite being a dedicated employee. All I wanted was to offer the best I could while being happy at my job but the lack of accurate sense of perception on the part of management towards proper job placements and harnessing of individual capabilities, denied me that opportunity.

You were trained for one week. The packager had to run two machines which were very fast paced. You had to retrieve them from the machine, bag them, box them and then place them on a pallet.

You had no help. If one of the machine broke down you had to assist in fixing the problem. While the second machine was still running. 

Our lunch breaks were suppose to be for 30 minutes. But they only Allowed 15 minutes. You had no time to look up or talk to anyone.

The shifts were for 12 hours a day every day. You didn't leave until your station was clean and finished.

I did learn how to drive a fork lift to advance as a forklift driver. But the position never opened. 
 
There was nothing enjoyable part of this job. It was hard, fast and you went home exhausted.

There was no air conditioning in the building. It was hot and sweaty.

Job is very good but depending where you work inside the company depends…. A lot of departments micromanage and you can management shows little sympathy for their employees. Only positive thing I can really say about this company is the health and dental insurance is great but bad thing is extreme micromanagement , poor HR management/ communication when it comes to having problems/ issues and little to no room for moving up in the company… if you don’t know anyone from the inside or if your not a boot licker then you have little to no chance … only reason I’m here is because of the benefits and the people I met along the way plus my manager isn’t too bad he really looks out for his employees but I worked in several departments with not so good management. Also I work nights not too much micromanagement.

By far the worst company I've worked for. You start out by getting "trained in" by someone that speaks a different language. Pay is low. Inssuance is expensive. No time off for the first year. Then you only get a week vacation after that. If you need to take a day off forget ever ever getting a raise. Their moto is "if you can afford to take a day off you make too much money." Management is completely useless. Cant make a single decision without having it approved by corperate. Their idea of managing is standing there watching you work to try to make you work faster. The faster they need somthing done the more managers stand there to watch. Its hot, loud, constant cloud of smoke in the building, and very dirty. Don't expect to get anywhere in this company they will stab you in the back any chance they get.

A fast growing company. Management often will notice and recognize  extra effort by employees and grant increases and promotions accordingly.  In the summer when it's hot inside the plant, the company puts out barrels full of ice cold bottled water free of charge. Lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks to work with. Need help, just ask.
       Attendance and punctuality are critical though.  Tardiness and absence are not tolerated. One must stay on management's "good side" If you get on the "wrong side" with them, you will likely be "marked" for the duration of your employment there. 
      If terminated, the company will do almost anything in order to keep you from collecting unemployment compensation.
