We would come in make breakfast then start on lunch but, we also would have to multitask and make sure that our food would be done by lunch time i would also have to keep the dish pit empty. Anytime we had free time i would always look for something to do because in a if not things started to pile up. I learned new skills how to us a grill how to maintain it. I also leaned how to use a knife. The work was fast pass but as long as you did what you got to do you were fine. The hardest part about the job would probable be that i was still new to the kitchen but i got the hang of it pretty quick. The most enjoyable part was that i really like wakening up every morning Knowing what I'm doing is something i am pashnit for.

I have been working at Polysummer for the past 5 years. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. The kids are amazing, my co-workers are all so involved in making sure the kids have an great experience in summer school. Everyone is so engaged with one another and there are only ever happy vibes all around the 6 week program. Management is completely easy going and is very understanding and approachable.  I have learned how to come out of my shell when it comes to interacting with people. I am now more confident than what I ever was before.

Working at Poly is all about supporting the faculty so they can support there students. They faculty are ambitious and always seek new ways to enrich the students lives. There thirst for new technology in the classroom is never ending and there is always a new application they would like to try, online program that just cam out or in classroom learning tool. The administration is supportive and tireless in there effort to support the faculty and staff. The campus is the most beautiful and diverse place on earth to work.

I enjoyed substituting at Polytechnic immensely. The teachers are well organized and always left detailed plans for the substitute. The students were well behaved and the other teachers helpful and friendly. There was no down side to substituting at Polytechnic School and the most enjoyable part is the academic setting.

The position is varied and each day can be unique and unpredictable which I find enjoyable. I am more involved in the "business" side of the school and have viewed the complexities of creating a master plan that must be submitted to city council for approval and the politics involved in such an endeavor. I work closely with the board of trustees and am heavily involved in recruiting for faculty and staff.

Polytechnic is one of the first private day schools in the Pasadena area. They are among the leading private schools in the San Gabriel Valley. From the head of the school to the development staff, everyone works together to educate children. The opportunities for learning are outstanding. It is one of the best places that I ever worked and enjoyed all of my colleagues.

I gained my first experience in a classroom at Polytechnic school. I observed and offered aid to the teacher in any way possible. Often times I created worksheets that supported students learning. I had the opportunity to work directly with the teacher by helping create lessons. Lastly, I was able to work one-on-one with students and support them academically.

I had fun as a student teacher at Polytechnic. The students are engaged and the faculty seem to be invested in the education of their students. The campus is very nice and incorporates parts of the original building that was erected in the 1900's.

Poly is an excellent school that is run well. As with all teaching jobs, expect to put in lots of time. The cost of living in LA is crazy and so the salary doesn't feel like it goes very far, but I do think the school does its best to compensate employees fairly.

this school is wonderful all staff is there to help you over the challenges that will come and go.  this facility also has weekend classes and tutoring
