I had the opportunity to work at Post Consumer Brands for a little over two years as an R&D Packaging Manager, and it was a truly rewarding experience both professionally and personally.
PCB is a company that genuinely values collaboration and cross-functional partnership. The culture encourages working closely with marketing, operations, procurement, quality, and plant teams to deliver solutions that are not only innovative but also practical and scalable. I appreciated the strong emphasis on teamwork and the shared commitment to delivering high-quality products to consumers.
From a packaging perspective, the organization provides meaningful opportunities to lead initiatives that drive cost optimization, sustainability improvements, supply continuity, and operational efficiency. There is trust placed in technical leaders to own projects end-to-end, influence decision-making, and serve as subject matter experts within the business. That level of ownership makes the work both challenging and fulfilling.
What stood out most to me was the people. The teams are dedicated, resilient, and willing to lean in when challenges arise. 
Overall, my time at Post Consumer Brands strengthened my technical expertise, broadened my business perspective, and reinforced the importance of collaboration in driving results. I’m grateful for the experience and the relationships built along the way.

The employees are fun if you get a good crew. However, recognition from salary employees and HR is a high disappointment. The verbal support from these latter individuals is promising, however, at the mention of anything being amiss, there is no one to fight on your side.  I mentioned problems that my family had been having for a year. I mentioned certain situations that had happened that placed me in precarious position. As soon as HR got wind of this, a bus with my name was heading for me. Nobody could do anything to stop it.  The 12 years that I had served faithfully are dust in the wind. Oh, and recognition? The last time I was recognized was during my five year anniversary with the company. 
Oh, let’s not forget that supervisors only spend a sixteenth of their time on the floor most nights. And that there are no supervisors clocked on the production floor 4 hours out of the day. 
Sure, safety is paramount, but who is there to observe it?
The culture is friendly, however, I have friends that are vets or on reserve duty.  Now, if anyone knows a vet, they know that they are crude and funny and like to express humor as their outlet. A “PC” culture cannot handle vets in a blue collar field. So, they are friendly, but they are the Mrs. Broflovski of the manufacturing industry. 
Management — nice, but they have to distant themselves waaay to much away from the actual employee to maintain the “i’m Just friendly enough to still be able to fire you” attitude, but still be able to play favorites.

In the past year I've been at PCB, there has been a ton of changes in an effort to improve process, engagement, and achieve growth. I love working for a company where the leadership actually listens to surveys and does something about it (e.g., workplace flexibility). Leadership is accessible, and I love that I've had casual conversations with the CEO in the hallway - this helps a lot with the ease of collaboration on substantial projects. 

My favorite part of PCB is the people - something I hear frequently among my co-workers as well. The prevailing culture here is one of kindness and respect, and we do not tolerate workplace bullies - a HUGE plus in my book, having worked at places where that wasn't the case. There are some absolutely brilliant minds here, but I love that the culture rewards collaboration with the reminder that our competition is external, not internal. 

I feel like a valued member of the company, and I have several colleagues invested in my growth trajectory, which is a huge part of what keeps me here. I've already had the opportunity to make an impact here. 

Something that could be improved is more onboarding for new employees. The people I work with have been so helpful as I've had to lean on them, but a more comprehensive formal onboarding process is an opportunity here (and I hear this is in the works). 

I have been with Post for over 5 years and have had great opportunities to learn, grow, and advance my career.  The people are one of many reasons why I enjoy working here.  I receive sincere recognition for my work, have been compensated competitively to market, and feel like I have room to continue to grow.  I continuously learn new things about the business and am challenged daily (in a good way!)  Collaboration occurs really naturally, and I know my opinion is valued and heard by my colleagues and the leadership team.  My Manager and colleagues genuinely care about my well being and work life balance, and do a great job of making me feel supported.  I value opportunities provided to me to volunteer in my community, participate in employee resource groups like the Women's Development Network and DEI initiatives.  Post has made great efforts to have transparent communication, and I feel informed of what is going on in the business. As a company, we have been through a lot of change the past 5 years but I am very excited about our future growth and opportunities! 

This is a great place to work. Especially if you are just starting out and looking for different options and opportunities. Your efforts will be recognized and embraced. You can into programs and apprenticeships and get into higher paying jobs or management simply by showing up, working hard and keeping good attendance.
You’ll have to start from the bottom and work your way up if you don’t have qualifications for a position more advanced. But you still have options and opportunities if you have the work ethic and determination.
I’ve worked for Post Consumer Brands since June of 2023, at the Northfeild  location in Minnesota. I have zero complaints. You work a scheduled 15 days a month with every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday off as an operator. Overtime is available usually and it’s busier during the summer, Fall and Winter. I was never forced overtime and there hasn’t been layoffs according to many people that have worked there for 20 plus years. Possibly never but I’m not 100% positive.

MOM Brands was an awesome place to work. Post isn’t. The pay is good for the area. That’s it. That’s the good. 

Employee turnover is insane. Because management is tone deaf and invisible. Never told you are doing a good job but always written up for even a single mistake. Micromanaging is a real big problem when those doing the management can’t even do the job. 

Training is a joke. You have to figure it out for yourself. Asking for help only gets you handed a JBS and no actual hands on help. 

Management watches breaks like it’s their only job, to the point of hiding and watching people go to breaks. Or HR sitting in an office all day watching cameras like there isn’t anything more important to do. Feels like going into prison every shift. 

Shift favoritism is so real. Management takes their word as gospel and immediately goes the punishment route instead of actual investigation or talking to other employees. You are treated like a misbehaving child. Good work gets you nothing. Butt kissing gets you everywhere. 

Yes, the money is good. But at what cost? The place will eventually destroy you. 

I worked for Post Consumer Brands for several years and gained valuable experience during my time there. The pay is competitive. 

Unfortunately, the work environment was often challenging due to a lack of consistency, frequent changes in direction, and uncertainty regarding expectations and operations. Communication between departments and leadership could be improved, and employees are frequently left feeling unsupported when dealing with day to day challenges. The constant changes create unnecessary stress and made it difficult to feel confident in long term stability.

There are few good people throughout the organization,. For me, the overall environment became increasingly frustrating and unpredictable, which ultimately led me to pursue other opportunities that offer greater stability, clearer expectations, and a better work life balance.




A company that at one time was 'the place' to work. Now along with the recent permanent lay-offs many key people are leaving on their own because they feel the stability is no longer there. Top heavy management (seems like most of the posting for jobs there were for directors or VP's), at times uppper managment not agreeing in meetings(arguing, shouting)  which created a hostile work environment at times in front of their subordinates, nepitism, promoting people to management positions only because they were 'owed' something, loose interpretations of policies, and the list goes on.

Comments on this company from some interns were very positive but when you come in as an intern your are given gifts, provided lunches, provided with activities such as bowling, a Twins game, an off-site cooking event - which cost a lot of money on the part of the company.

Management does not follow the guidelines for everyone. They give certain people too many chances. The people who needs to be fired somehow is still there. There are some great people who work there but for how long. And then there is that one toxic bitter person who just kills the vibe everytime she shows up to work. This place can't keep the new hires and Temps past lunch time on their first day. High turnovers. Management including HR sucks at this place. It's like the employees are the ones running the warehouse. They are the ones who tell Management what to do and how to do things. You have a supervisor who doesn't even show up or stay for a full shift and then there's the "part time" HR. She shows up whenever she wants and when she is in the office she doesn't pick up her phone. She will text you that she needs to talk to you about something urgent but when you call her right back, she doesn't answer return your call til days later.

Poor management and too many silos.  The new hires have ruined the culture and have turned it into their previous company.  Hard work, teamwork, and getting your stuff done used to be all you needed to do, and now it is all about "who you know" and playing the corporate games to try to get promoted.  

Lots of exclusivity within departments and the executive team manages through intimidation.  Employees are not allowed to have differing opinions because if you do, you will NOT get promoted or you will get pushed out.  Lots of talented people are unhappy and leaving the company.  

HR is not for the employees and will not do anything to protect them if you go to them for help or support.  HR kisses up to management and nothing is ever done.  Fear of retaliation is a reality.
