Get your assignment which usually takes time because everyone has to figure out the staffing first. Meanwhile start passing water letting everyone know you will be their aid ect .. Team work makes the dream work is the motto most of the staff are willing to help out. Senior management is very responsive and attentive to everyone’s individual needs . The vibe is great , generally people are happy with each other , however sometimes staffing is an issue which causes stress . 

Usually people have their regular assignments. Everyone is willing to help each other . I like the management here . Residents are mostly happy. We have everything we need . I think being a CNA in an environment that appreciates you makes you feel great . You know you are changing residents quality of life . 

I get report from the nurse before me , usually it’s a great report sometimes if the nurse is not used to these patients I find it useless. Management is very supportive. Most of the cna’s do what they are supposed to . Everyone looks to help each other 

What is the best part of working at the company?
I love the company. The corporate and upper management always help with issues. If it’s not for distance, I would never have left.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nothing that’s not expected 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very easy and friendly

PC Hamilton , has many caring staff members who have been here for years. They are dedicated and have been here for years.  We are in the business of caring for seniors. This is great place to work. 


I would study the calendar to see which activities ,then do rounds with the residents ,offer coffee or tea . later we do the activities. sometimes it was my turn to take the residents outside for smoking break .

The work load is very heavy for one nurse. Its hard to do patient care when you have almost 30 patients on a 7-3 shift. The chain of command is off. The shift supervisor (ED) is very disrespectful.

I had a great time working there , we worked as a team . It was great getting to feed people every day . I also interacted with other departments, HR , activities, nursing . Residents were very friendly to me . 

New management is rude and will take advantage if you let them. Quick to theow you under the bus, license is at risk due to ratios,poor report, patient falls and NO reporting is encouraged.
