a typical day at work i go into the home.greeting ,providing care accordingly bathing.oral care,hair care if required,cooking,assisting with bed pan,making sure client is good and dry,cleaning of kitchen,bathroom,bedroom,lv.room,using Hoyer Lift to put client in recliner,in lv. rm.,continue my hse.work ,conversating with client throughout the day which lasts six hrs.,(9a.m.-3p.m.) and she is put back to bed before departure,water pitcher is filled 3x during my visit,client is given bedpan during bath,before getting on Hoyer Lift and after getting back in bed..The hardest part is sometimes pulling a Hoyer Lift on carpet and positioning in. recliner by myself.The most enjoyable part is knowing i help someone else have a fulfilling day and to see them smile.

I've been at Primary Health Choice for about 3 months now, which is the standard probationary period.  I feel supported here and have assistance when needed for questions I may have.  I am a Tailored Care Manager, which is a newer program in NC anyways - but as a new TCM provider I feel supported and feel like staff is here to help one another.  I came in with some experience in the field, which I feel has made my adjustment here easier.  The pay is good, we get mileage reimbursement, and have access to benefits.  Weekly pay.  The benefits plan is pricey and seems to be a poor plan, so I opted to get insurance elsewhere.  Other than that, I enjoy what I do as  Tailored Care Manager.  I look forward to my future here. 

I have been with the company for over a year and overal the old management was great.  The new management is not that great.  One day I looked at my paycheck and i was getting a dollar less an hr.  When I asked about it they said it is because they cant pay overtime due to the fact they are now paying travel time which is very little.  I tried to advance myself by applying to different positions and didnt even get a email or call that the position was filled.  Not impressed at all worse job I have ever had.  The only thing I will miss is my sweet clients.

No nights or weekends 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nobody is on the same page. You can ask 5 people the same question and get 5 different answers. You definitely have to figure things out on your own.

Ok for the most part

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Aides cursing you out bc they don’t get their way. Upper management lying on you bc they not doing their jobs right. Stuck in the office all day only time you get out the office is if you go on your lunch break.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The management team is very helpful and supportive. No stress and I love the opportunities to earn bonus pay!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not enough PTO time and holiday pay.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Non-stressful. Great support! Great management. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Most of the time I work in the office. But now I’m working in the field some days because of staffing shortages.

Company is awesome, its the ones that Give staff fslse hope!I took my family to the company so that I would make a better living for my family. My consumer would be very well taken care of besides if it was'nt for her i would have no job. 
We come too work for the company and is given a fair Salary.then take it back.  I have worked to long and hard to finally have that salary that's fair and they have the audacity to take it back, i know how much she has in her budget.

Being able to help others to realizes they can still growth and be productive despite what was going on in their life.

Getting the one-one-person to understand that their goals have to be completed.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very calmly and respectful. They are very considered of everybody needs. Treated everybody with respect did not show any favoritism.

I have been with the company since August 2023, great place to work. Great Leadership they are all about the Members.

Nothing is stressing about working with this company.

The work environment is Great. I have no complaints about anything. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I’m a Case Manager and my day normally be busy with making calling or going out in the community.

Overall working for primary was wonderful until a New management was hired and took my position from me after working with this client for over 3 years. No-one will take this position and I filled the position because someone asked me to help them out so I did and loved working with this client. I still interact with this client on my own time now. The new management only hurt herself plus client decided to get services somewhere else so there you go Primary Health Choice lost a good client and worker.

Dealing with the office. Mandatory UNPAID training

Every home environment is different.  Some are good.  Some are very bad.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Although the job is supposed to be for personal care (helping with walking, bathing, meals, etc), some families only want someone to clean and do their laundry.
