I worked for them through supervisor after supervisor. The management turn over is fast and furious and at the end of the day you're in trouble and for no other reason  than your superiors don't speak to one another! Then one of them will go on vacation and never return. This was once a job I loved and thought highly of. Their mission statement was clear,  they stood out amongst the their competitors and it was about their workers and clients. That's pretty much when their first supervisor went on vacation and never returned and downhill we went. Clients were angry and expressing disdain for our new supervisor who visited with the clients and it was an unfortunate situation. When the workers spoke up at the office their work load thinned exponentially. I honestly feel badly since originally they were the company I would have worked for over any other. However, That being said I don't know how many managers I've had or really great employees have left but sadly it doesn't look good for this place. The money they pay you isn't worth all the magic that goes along with this place. I'm saddened by how fast they spiraled out of control and not only would i tell people not too work there I don't recommend them to anyone out there.

As a CHHA I work with clients in their homes, not in the office. Privatus was the first in person interview  that I had. Other agencies had basically hired me over the phone in 5 minutes but Privatus was more thorough and I liked that. 

The biggest reason I left my other agency was because the office staff was so poor. The only feedback ever received was if you made an error and then you received negative feedback - instead of corrective assistance. If you tried to schedule a day off, you’d have to make the request over and over.

Having coordinators that listened and adjusted your schedule the first time and staff that provided positive and constructive feedback was a whole new - and much improved - world. I stopped hating having to contact corporate. The in-service assignments were given with adequate time to complete. Just a better working atmosphere all around. Best change I ever made. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Absoutley the worst place to work for, its all about the MONEY.  They have no loyality to committed hard working employees. They have terminated numerous employees that have dedicated years of hard work to this organization.  They deserve mediocre employees who are as unloyal as PRIVATUS is.  Within the past few months they have FIRED over 4 people with no justification.  Think carefully before applying.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Employees are used to fill a purpose for a season then they are fired.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work enviorment lacked transparency and genuine communication.
There was a culture that appreaed supportive on the surface,but in reality there was a lot of negativity and inconsistency behind the scences.  The workplace did not align with my values of teamwork, hinesty, and respect.

This company wants u to chase them. They rush u on n give u a brick wall. Then have the nerve to have attitude when call back to check. They start u with high paying cases if u want them perminate u get a smack back to minimum wage 15. They also do alot of snag a job from u. They like they want u to keep them up beat of the cases NOT they start to get annoyed. Then they replace u.   When u start nothing n they r not consistant  with cases thier always cover cases r problem  cases to too far always something. Your worth more caregivers . Theirs places out their paying more n it's not called contracts that r paying more. That means they will pay 16 to 16.50 for ur main salary an hr then more for contracts. Other places give u 18 cuz it's more attached like travel cards n pay cards what have u of why. Those I dont go for cuz of gimmick s.

A typical day at work varies from patient to patient. Some are in a higher need of personal care, from bathing to mouth feeding, and others can be as simple as assisting to walk. I learned to put myself on my client's position and encourage them every step because It will make a difference. I learn that the things we take for granted , are the things other pray to have. I work alone, just me and the patient so no co-workers. The hardest part of the job to me is to try and be stronger than the client. At times aids are exposed to very critical health situations and its important to never show weakness and have hope. The most enjoyable part of my job is to make them happy, make them feel useful, whether is just to get them to brush their teeth, or even let them pick their own clothes. It is very enjoyable to see the progress of my clients and know that you have been part of the journey.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I have worked with Privatus for almost 5 years. Cases on Cape and in the Boston area. Great support staff. They are wonderful to work with! Scheduling shifts is easy and works around your life. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Starting new cases can always be stressful but I have found that there is always someone available if I have a question or a problem. It’s a great company. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I have 2 young kids and they are very understanding that my schedule can be crazy! I never feel pressure to work cases I am not comfortable with or to work more than fits into my life. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Shifts are usually 12 hours but occasionally I do a quick one hour visit.

This is a great place to work. You have to advocate for yourself about asking for a pay increase. I have been there for 4 years, I never asked for one, but when I did, they were receptive and gave me a fair pay increase.  As far as "working as a maid" as a nurse there, you are expected to do whatever the client needs (within reason of course). I am an RN, but am not above doing a bit of housework, as well as my nursing duties. The client pays a lot of money to have private nurses, and they are usually 12 hour shifts, so there is a lot of downtime, doing a little extra should not be a problem for most nurses. There is every opportunity to say "no" to a shift, you don't have to do it if you don't want to. It's mostly per diem. You are not tied to any case. Overall, a great place to be! I really like all the staff there, very nice people to work with.

A typical day at work for me would be assisting  clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) which includes toileting, bathing, getting dressed, and personal grooming. Also taking them to their appointments and reminding them to take their medication is very important as a caregiver. 
I learned that you must have a lot of patience with the elderly because they may ask the same questions over and over again. 
I believe the management is good because they make sure there’s back up when someone can’t make it or they will inform you when the client doesn’t want the service anymore.
Workplace culture is good everyone is very open arms when I come into their homes 
Hardest part about the job is nothing that I can’t handle. 
I love seeing a smile from my clients 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Leaving for the day. It is very hard for me to give a best part of working with the company my experience with the company was not pleasant all around unfortunately.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The management and owners. The employees were overworked and understaffed we weren't compensated for some pay of overtime and management did not take into consideration employees voices.

The work environment with this company and culture was very negative.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Days were very busy. The company is understaffed and help from management was not existent. Days were very hectic and long.

Arrive at the client location early to sign in, relieve the previous aide and cover any cares or concerns that I need to be aware of. 
Management is sincere and answers my questions, medically and administratively quickly. Nice group at the Greenwich office.  Hardest part of the job is needing to work longer hours to compensate for the lower pay per hour that is indicative of this position throughout the industry.  The client and respective families have been tremendous in their support of my function, contributions to their loved one and compassion when I address their needs. 
Its all about the client..always seem to be great and appreciative of my sincere efforts to make their day a little bit better
