The owners interfere in the clinical aspects of the job, and Directors or nursing come and go as do marketers. The owners hire too many incompetent staff and that includes office staff with no experience. As a result, census drops frequently and there is no guarantee of work. Nobody knows what they are doing there and patients are cheated from services that other hospice agencies have. Company owners don't take into consideration employees suggestions. The owners take short cuts and do not follow medicare guidelines and the they open too many offices without adequate converage of staff and then cut back on services from patients cause they want to save money, save Money is their priority. Its hard to get on full time status there and they lie to new employees and say they are hiring full time but don't give you FT work once you are hired. The owners push their religious influences on the way they handle the employees and business, don't allow employees to do certain things

The owners of Pro Health will do ANYTHING to increase their census.  They routinely pay money to referral sources, or treat them to expensive outings (sporting events, drink soirees, etc).  Giving nursing homes free iPads in order to garner their business isn't just smarmy, it's down right illegal.  They run the business with young aggressive office workers who don't have any practical or empathetic qualities.  They do not have a charitable foundation connected with hospice, so donations go into some "other" account.  And, if one wants to purchase a 'gift' for a customer, they are told to do it off the books and it's reimbursed from a personal account, rather than from the corporation - to hide from auditors/medicare audits.

Prohealth is one of the friendliest and accommodating companies I've worked for. As a working mother of 5 kids it can be hard to find an employer that is so accommodating towards your home life issues that inevitably arise. The office vibes are an absolute joy to encounter, every person you meet here is kind and considerate. I couldn't ask for better coworkers. The hardest part of this job is that it is health care, and like all health care companies that deal with patient care, it can be stressful at times, but the office staff makes it all worth while. 

ProHealth is a company that prioritizes making money. A lot of the field clinicians put in their heart to the work, but at the end of the day management prioritizes paperwork and revenue over quality patient care. The management is always looking to improve their metrics, but this often results in lack of communication from top down and confusion. If you are looking for a career that is well compensated, you'll do well- but expect extra paperwork or revisions with lots of changing standards from week to week.

The office only care if you can take the patient or not.  After that you are on you own. Medical record department keeps sending you e-mail to ask for the documents that had been sent moths ago!
Directors like to micro manage the clinicians. The even have annual competency skill test!. That means they do not check their staff well before they hired them? That also means clinician's skill regress within the year when they suppose to use it daily?
I am in the process of looking for another company.

The company itself is promising.  The main issue is the owner doesn't want to spend the money needed to make that happen.  Their IT infrastructure is out of date and their communication poor when it comes to keeping everyone updated on new changes to process or employee promotions.  One HUGE issue is they were late with our paychecks on more than one occasion.  That's HUGE! Other than that the people are nice and since I'm fairly new to the team I'm not sure on advancement opportunities.  

The agency is operated by the owners who have just one goal in mind: MONEY to their pocket! Patient care is the lowest priority for them. Patients could be dropped on the middle of episode, patients complaints are not investigated by the management and not followed up. The owners do not allow employees to celebrate Christmas because it is against their religious beliefs. Bribery to the referral sources is a common practice at the agency.
Very unethical agency with a bad reputation.

Paydays are inconsistent and they tell you the day of pay day (Friday) if your direct deposit won’t be processed so you have to wait until Monday or Tuesday… they even will send the check at times (which doesn’t come until Wednesday). They don’t care about the employees financial well-being or emotional health. I think if you do the work you should be paid on time. The pay is decent and the staff are good. Turn over is high so you never really know who to contact.

Expect you to do work for free

A typical day is seeing patients based on a schedule that you have created to allow you time to drop kids off to school and pick up in the evening.  You see patients on the days you have mutually agreed on with the patients or caregivers.  If you want to pick up extra money, you can agree to admit a patient on the weekend but it is not a requirement.
