Typical workday as an agent would be answering calls from thousands of different merchants like Mattress Firm, Metro PCS, Big Lot's etc. and assisting them and developing sales for merchants and helping customers who did not need to have good credit lease an item for a year and giving them multiple early buy-out options. A typical day as a Supervisor would be checking time clocks for the previous day to make sure everyone was clocking in at an appropriate time (not to early but not late), checking on the statistics and quality of random calls to help coach agents on how to better themselves and reach their requirements to bonus the most, Having one-on-one meetings with my team to see how they were and let them know what they can do better and to see if I can do anything better for them while giving them the most up to date information and taking supervisor calls which I would de-escalate whether it be the customer or the store associate to come to an answer and resolve any and all issues they may have had. Management is great. Always saying they appreciate you, but also showed it with lunch mostly every busy weekend, company parties, games to keep people motivated and show that they are cared for and valued each and every day. The hardest part of the job here is believing you can move up and advance. Some people get discouraged when they interview for an advancement but when they do not get the promotion they either quit or some may cause trouble and start rumors making the company and management team look bad when they were probably going to be the one promoted next. It's hard telling people/friend/co-workers that their time will come BUT at the same they do not believe it. I was able to get 2 promotions in the matter of three months by showing how hard I can work and how dedicated I was to this great company. The most enjoyable part of my job were the people. Agents, Team Leads, Supervisors, Managers, Directors, Executives, Owners no matter who you were it was always great to come to work. People especially me looked forward to coming to work.

I worked here for almost 2 years and I wish I still worked there. Progressive Leasing has to be the best call center job I’ve worked for. Always trying to innovate and perfect the method. If you want/ can handle a call center job (because it’s not for everyone) this place is so great. Their core values are truly brought to light with the actions they take. When COVID first hit we were sent home so quickly with the proper equipment to do the job. One of their core values is “we value people above all else” and they actually do. They show care for their customers and employees. I started off in customer service and was promoted to merchant support and it was wonderful!  They have no requirements on time spent on the job before you can apply for a different department from customer service. There were people straight out of training basically that were in my hiring class for MS. They offer a shift diff for weekends, bi-lingual and later shifts. When we were in office they bought lunch for everyone often. They are willing to work with you on many things as long as you communicate! They have pretty flexible schedules except they no longer offer 4 10 hour shifts. There’s even opportunities to bonus. They offer many benefits; a few are vision, dental, life,  health, and even pet insurance. They offer a lot of wiggle room to meet your expected goals to adhere to your schedule and utilize your time properly. They offer great pay for your positions. I could keep going about this great company. Again if call centers are for you I highly recommend Progressive Leasing.

Started as CSR, then went for another department, CPA. High call volume outbound, a lot of hang ups and angry customers.
Management tried to coach, but the expectations were not realistic. I told them what I needed, they didn't seem to care. They state "People First," but no they are worried about getting the money. I cared about people and why they fell behind in payments. However, there is not enough wrap up time to exp this. I would notate the acct for the next agent, but you don't even read the notes when you cold call, that was a HUGE issue for me. How can I help someone if I don't know their situation?
Tons of  system issues, always getting kicked out, or it would freeze and you would lose a customer or payment.
All escalated calls go through a management chat, and it takes forever for someone to answer you. Customers usually would hang up and call back even more upset.
Bonus is bogus, you can bonus based on your stats, but once you get a written warning, all your hard work is ignored. I was the in the top ten for months, but did not bonus from it because of the QA and Utilization expectations not being met.
In one month, I collected over $40,000 but that didn't matter I didn't see any bonus for it. That's how they get you, keep you on 'notice' so they don't have to pay bonuses.
Also, your issues and short comings are displayed for everyone to see. Nothing there is private.

You constantly have to be alert for updates and changes daily in the company. You are expected to do a 30min-1hr training and then take calls for the new brand immediately. 
The attendance policy is horrible if you accrue enough points you could be looking at 8 months of perfect attendance just to get out of correctives to be able to promote or start looking at advancement. 
Management doesn’t really care about you they just try and fill a required amount of contact with employees maybe 1 how are you chat once every 2-3 months with no reply or genuine care after you respond. 
Oh also they talk about grit and being there for 10+ years, but after working there for 3 months you want to quit. I wouldn’t say you are secure here either they would rather out source then pay for good employee’s.

This is a great job for signing up to have a bunch of knowledge to try and defend the company from upset customers who yell at you constantly saying they didn’t even know they signed up for the leasing program.
Most enjoyable was being able to talk to my colleges who genuinely wanted to work hard for the company who doesn’t really care about them.
You can say up and down your values are value people above all else and do the right thing period but unless that is executed with action they are just words on a wall nothing more nothing less. 


Progressive leasing was a "Make the most money for our company" type of environment. As a CAR your day-to-day will be knocking on doors of people who are past due on their payments via other companies such as Ashley furniture, Cricket wireless, and jewelry stores. Meaning you could be "repossessing" anything from living room furniture to engagement rings. This puts the customer truly in charge because by law you cant just enter someone's home and take their merchandise and some people know this. So it can be very stressful at times. Everyday was truly different which made it interesting. Bonuses are introduced as an incentive but if you are not making the required money for the company through these repossessions and collection of money you can and will be reprimanded. This can be stressful at times too especially during holidays because some people are already stressed with money for their respective families and your their to collect Money or Merchandise. But when your doing well and people are paying your bonus can be very rewarding. Expect to NEVER get off at your designated clock out time and to sometimes drive for hours to other cities to conduct you day to day.

Progressive Leasing is all about numbers. If u want to bonus, never leave the phone with the exception of breaks and lunch. The phones are busy and so you do not have time to visit with your team. You do have some meetings to attend and are coached on your calls several times per month. Your calls are somewhat timed and u only have a few seconds to wrap up and notate the call before the next one drops in. Some of the supervisors/team leads are not approachable and could be more friendly especially since u rely heavily on them for help. I felt like a number and had a supervisor that showed no interest in me and had a dull personality so I left. The upper leadership seems to be cool and does care. Snacks, cereal bar and drinks are available complimentary everyday. The casual dress code was cool, the customer service hours were ideal and most people were friendly. The cost of medical and dental for family was on the high side and they do not contribute to 401K for a year. If u want to advance, some departments work retail hours. I just felt like a number and I value myself more than that so I left. My advice: work somewhere that looks at quality more than quantity and that has a management team that shows genuine interest!!

Progressive is experiencing incredible growth, and a lot of growing pains.  You will likely read that there is a lot of opportunity, and there is, but you have dozens of mid/senior managers stabbing each other in the backs trying to get to the top. It’s rare for them to promote from within, no matter what the recruiters tell you. There are few women in leadership roles, and very little diversity.  Many of the Directors are only in their role because they were hired when the company was small- most wouldn’t qualify for their positions now and the company doesn’t hesitate to fire people. I can count a dozen people that I have personally known that were let go (and these are professional positions) not contact center staff. 
That said, they do a few things really well, and one of those is employee recognition. They are great at little perks, movies, lagoon day, company swag and providing volunteer opportunities and there is always plenty of food. The building it’s self it’s nice and there is a lot of natural light. 
Overall, I would recommend Progressive but I would say go
In with your eyes wide open, and learn the politics.

Honestly, if it weren't for management I'd recommend this place to everyone. Upper management is great. It's the managers below that make Progressive Leasing terrible. You do have a couple good ones but overall, they don't care about you. The work environment is fast. You have 2 minutes in between calls to conclude your notes about the call you just completed. Often times the managers will cut that time down to one minute without telling you. You find out your btwn time was cut when all of a sudden your headset picks up another call without you doing so yourself. The work can be too much because the managers need their numbers boosted but if we're talking the company itself, I'd say it is a good one. Didn't agree with some of the ways the company claims to help their customers but overall as an employee I say the CEO has put together a great place to be at. They run fun raffles with cool prizes, cool family events and besideds the work, the CEO knows how to have a good time. But again, management sucks and the work are overly stressful.

Progressive is a growing company with a lot of advancement opportunities.  It is a fun place to work, with a nice facility.  The people are like an extended family, and care about one another.  Those that work hard and want to advance are recognized for that, and moved through the career path.  Those that have attendance issues, or do not want to do what their job description/Supervisor asks of them find themselves unhappy.  It is not a hard job, and what you put into it is what you will get out of it.  

In the call center like any other call center job, we have to abide by the schedule in order for workforce to plan accordingly.  You come to work clock in and get on the phones.  There are activities to make the time go by quickly, weekly huddles are usually given to go over updates and meet with the team.  Everyone is great and cares about those on their team.  Management is supportive and wants to help those succeed through coachings and other opportunities.  The hardest part of the job is that you do the same thing every day, but that also helps you become an expert.  There are many departments to move to, and make more money (for those that want to move on.)

Best part of working at Progressive is the People!  They really are part of my family.

What a great place to work. I started working for this company after coming off of a horrible experience with another company. Progressive was very small at the time and it was a struggle to keep up with ongoing changes. The changes were due to extremely rapid growth. New management stepped in about 6 months later and it has been an amazing ride. The vision coming out of the executive management team has lead to massive growth and an equally amazing opportunity for growth in the company. The company is SOLID and only growing more stable as time goes on. Great core values and tons of talent. I could not be happier with a career than with what I have found with this company. The only downside is moving out of state. This can be a positive experience for most people but hard for others. If you want to move up with this company, you should probably expect to move out of state for a period of time but it is not required. With that being said, they have taken care of me like no other company I have worked for in the past. I could go on and on about how much I love working for this company but I will leave it at that.
