Upon hiring you are convinced that your personal schedule needs will be both considered and respected. However, this is a company that will tell you anything to get you into the door only to disregard any occupational agreement shortly after.  If you are an adult that has to adhere to any important personal obligations such as: medical emergencies, taking care of family, children and necessary home matters.  Even if you are employed by another company part/full time while applying/working at Progressive.  DO NOT apply.  Your life and the significance of these non-negotiable duties are of no interest to them.
If you are to apply, I am sure you will get hired, primarily on the fact that they desperately need employees with their heavy turn around.

During orientation (which is graciously paid for and a bonus at that) you will soon learn that your time is of no essence.  In addition that 'MANDATION" is a constant occurrence.  With or without consent.

There will be times where you will work your required 8HR shift...if you're lucky you will be notified a few hours prior to your leave time that you have 0 relief......however, this is not always the case.  
There will be times where; 1. You will be notified with a brief "text" or call, stating your obligation to remain at said house location for an additional 8HRS. (or however long demanded)
2. Sometimes you will get no notification and when trying to contact Management/Supervisors...there will be no explanation or response.


Do not expect your schedule to stay consistent.  There is too be an understanding that; 'things happen', but it is an entirely different case when you are prepared for one location and switched to another.  There will be times that you are completely unaware of these changes.
There will be times where, even if you are kind and accept mandation, work your days off or pick up extra shifts...when you are not able too, expect casual punishment at a later date.  Most likely your next shift.

Just saying "No"...does not work here.
Infact it seems working here doesn't work here either.

Make sure to ask about your $50.00 mandating pay, which seems to be unaccounted for, for many CSC's.  
Again, false information.

You will be uninformed on most things while being employed here but expected to comply with each change if you wish to not be treated poorly or left in the dark.

Your start with this company isn't necessarily bad, but you will soon learn that unfortunately this is just a job to some.  Not a life improving career.  And that the company is more focused on picking sides rather than setting a positive work balance for their employees who are out on the field working to take care of clients they love, all while trying to manage themselves and their personal lives.

Many people, like, myself manage for a few months to a year for the clients sake and well  being.  Just know that you're important too.

Having been employed here for well over 10 years, I have gotten the opportunity to watch the company blossom. We have some of the nicest clients, staff, supervisors, therapists and management you could ask for. 

The company is so involved in the community and really supports local businesses and does fundraisers. They have fun year round and do a family party each year as well as give out awards and more. 

The benefits package that the company offers has the cheapest cost of health insurance I have ever seen! Life insurance, disability, aflac, vision, dental, and more. Some are at no cost to the employee, and others are so cheap that they truly make it affordable to get the care you need! The amount of vacation time that is offered gives you the availability to get some rest and relaxation several times a year as well as the option to cash out unused hours. 

For those looking to further their education they offer a benefit for tuition assistance too!  

I couldn't ask for a better place to work because they truly are not there. I was referred by a friend years ago and happy to have the opportunity to work for such an amazing company.

I took the chance and ignored the warnings. Warnings that stated that they welcome you with open arms and shortly aftet, bury you in forced work. - There is a population of workers there that have played the system. Submitting doctors notes to exempt themselves from the dirty work. That work then gets pushed onto the incoming staff. This same population of workers dictate what they will and will not do. Calling out frequently. - The CEO of this organization is fully aware of this but does not have the will or fortitude to address it. - Until it's dealt with, they are depending on new blood to keep the organization from collapsing. Which it will do eventually because their negative reputation is now far reaching. - My advice is that if your intention is to put your best foot forward and secure long term employment. Your efforts are best served elsewhere. Because within a months time they will mandate you endlessly. They know it. They expect you to quit. Don't waste your time and energy. 

I've been employed here for 6+ years and every day is a new experience. You get to work hands on with clients who have TBIs and assist them with every day needs. This job is unlike any I've worked before, You get to go out into the community with clients and attend concerts, sporting events, movies and sometimes even Broadway shows! The company is family oriented and management helps out as much as they can when you have an emergency and can't make it in. There maybe times where your relief may not show up but management is more than fair and will try to help you out or have someone come in to the best of their abilities. Working with the clients can also be rewarding because over the past years I've worked here I've gained a lot of patience, learn about TBI and also you get to see the clients improve as well. The company offers 401K, Dental and Vision and Health insurance. They do also offer a partial tuition reimbursement after being employed here for a year.

Even if you love direct care, this is not a place you want to go to work. It is highly unorganized, the schedule constantly changes, the communication between supervisors and staff is terrible and if you are a quality employee with a good work ethic, they will try to take advantage of you. People constantly call out, so the people that do show up to work get forced to work excessive hours. They will call and text you on your days off too. There definitely is not a great work-life balance at all. The clients are great and unfortunately do not get the 100% quality care that they deserve because the people that do come to work are excessively fatigued. It drains you both physically and mentally and you do not feel appreciated at all. It is definitely not a place to work if you consider yourself a professional because it is honestly the most unprofessional place I have ever worked with very little respect for the people who work for them.

If you have a family, or a life at all, this is not a good place to work. The mandation rate is out of control, and the management plays favorites so if they do not like you or know you, you are going to be mandated. Supervisors have no desire to do anything and get annoyed when asking for help despite the fact you go through minimal training. They go by a seniority scale. If you haven't worked their long, you are nothing to them. If you can stick it out for more than 2 years, than you will start to be treated with a little more respect. They do not care about their employees at all and you will be talked down to by the supervisors all the time, especially if you fight a mandation.  However, the CEO, is an amazing man. He has an incredible vision and truly wants the best for the clients and employees. He just has the wrong people working for him.

Progressive Rehab in Milford, PA is a place that makes a difference in the lives of adults with TBI’s. Looking for that family run business that provides growth, career opportunities and advancement. I like working at Progressive Rehab for the flexibility, and mentorship provided by this company, they know who you are and really care about you.  It’s a small company with an excellent training program. Honesty, it’s a really hard job that has made the biggest difference in my career. I enjoy my job and the benefits it provides. The clients are amazing to work with they will become some of your closest friends what time. However the management can’t get their party lines right to save there life.  Company would be great if we didn’t have to deal with management . Let’s also not forget that you were kind of expecting to work an eight hour day and sometimes be a total of 45 minutes before you’re leaving that you have been mandated for another eight hour shift and expected to stay awake and then come in for your next shift.  Oh and let’s not forget the oboe safety standards for their employees. While I was there at least 20 people were on work restrictions i.e. light duty and people are continuously getting hurt left and right. They never have enough people for the shifts but yet they were constantly trying to bring in new tenets.

While I have worked there for many years both as full time and part time, it is difficult for me to assess the work culture and management. There is a constant need for workers that does not really seem to be filled at any period. This leads to stress as that requires mandation, which means staff will have to work a double shift to fill in. Otherwise, the staff there are a great group of people. Responsible, uplifting, and trustworthy. Management tries to be understanding and co operative in times of need or desperation. I hesitate to recommend this position to a friend because working with the brain injured is a challenge and often interesting in a difficult way.
I would feel responsible if things did not work out.

Poor communication between staff and management. Supervisors play favoritism. No consideration for staff members. They will punish you for call outs by repeatedly scheduling you to a heavy house. Half the time they don’t answer the phone during the day and when you do get ahold of someone chances are it’s just the secretary because the supervisors are always in a meeting. When first applying you will be giving 2 options of pay which would be 3$ more if you DENY benefits. They will work you until you either get burnt out or quit. They only do certification for CPR when they should also do first aid they give you tests in orientation to test the general knowledge. If you come to this place good luck
