What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part about working for Public Partnerships is that I get to schedule and work my own hours.  When contacting this organization about my pay checks, issues with the hours, or updating any of my enrollment paperwork, they are quick, proficient, and willing to assist with any problems that may arise.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part about working for this company is when it's time to recertify the client to receive his/her authorizations, sometimes the pay gets delayed until all the information comes in from the case managers and facilitators.  This can last for weeks before all the information is obtained.  However, it speaks to the policies and procedures of this company and how it follows protocol for incidences such as this one.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is of a diverse nature.  Working independently, you get to meet lots of people of different backgrounds and cultures.  Some days it may be a little challenging, but the thing to remember is that all people are not accepting of strangers coming into their homes and assisting them.  With that in mind, you must build a rapport with the family, doctors, and the individual so that they can begin to feel comfortable in your presence.  It is almost a plus to provide as much details about the company and the services it provides so that the family or the individual can make an informed decision.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Each day is different.  Nothing stays the same all the time because people do not always have the same attitude about things.  However, it takes a lot of patience, desire, and understanding to work with anyone.  In that respect, I am humble, determined, empathetic, understanding, and caring.  All the things required to take care of people and their needs.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Hi, I’m able to work with my husband on his care it’s like I’m his nurse only withdraw to working with public partnerships is that they don’t offer medical care or 401(k) and there money is OK I do get paid pretty decent, but if you go out in the work force I’m hoping that for being my husband‘s live nurse that I would be able to get advanced schooling and give all my degrees updated but it’s good that I am able to do as I need to do so yeah I would have told other people about doing work with this company but you just gotta be careful you gotta make it fit for what you need it for 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You have to do budgeting of the amount of benefits you receive into the amount of money that you do on a daily basis so you have to have basic knowledge of getting your payroll set to your hours that you need to. Do they have managers they have case managers, but in reality, you’re doing all the budgeting your your money yourself I have a background in that so I have no issues with that but for people that don’t know anything about budgeting their hours for a budget amount for the month it could be confusing 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I’ve never been at the company I may own company in reality paperwork wise. I work for my husband, so it basically falls on lot of the patient unless they have there is financial consultant that you can work with to help you out with a lot of the issues I choose to do it on my own only because I know how to do it, but there is help available with budgeting your hours and stuff 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Like I said, I don’t work at per se company, so I can’t really answer that for you. I work within my home with my husband and taking care of him.

I worked for PPL for over 2 years in a remote office. I was responsible for a wide variety of duties including monthly calls to over 60 clients each month, as well as conducting home visits every 6 months. Additionally, I assisted families with self-direct services, including updating Spending Plans to reflect client needs and responding to ongoing payroll questions. I also assisted families in enrolling into this voluntary program by providing them with relevant fiscal employer agent responsibilities. There were recent changes in the Manual for the various programs that we worked with, and it created many new concerns for families as well as the company. It made it very difficult to get accurate information out to families, and as a result, there was more tension between the Support Brokers and Clients. The hardest part of the job was responding to requests that made it seem like clients were more concerned about the money that they would be making over the quality of care they were providing to this vulnerable population. The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing a client that had been so dependent on others thrive in self-directing their services. Many elderly adults take a lot of hits in regards to their dignity when they get older where they rely more heavily on family or friends, and it was always rewarding to see a client learn about their own needs and schedule their employees accordingly and do it well.

What is the best part of working at the company?
When PPL was under PCG, it was great and they genuinely cared about their employees. They cared about our well being, our voices, our dynamic with supervisors, and they requested our feedback every week. They valued every single individuals voice and opinion. PPL is now owned by private shareholders who give 0 f's about their employees and fired almost half (if not more) of their staff with NO WARNING and then messaged the remaining staff that in order to "fulfill bonuses they had to let staff go".. leaving us all feeling like we had "survivors guilt". Then to top it off they "realigned" our job roles to basically do more than 1 job and get 0 compensation for it. We were given poor training and expected to perform at a professional and knowledgeable level 2 weeks after we were informed of what our "additional roles" will be. They now have sent out multiple poorly worded attestments giving up our rights that we are required to sign, otherwise face termination. The company is going to tank and no position is safe at this point. They do not respect or value their staff anymore. Apply to PCG, not PPL.

The 2 jobs you are now required to complete at expert level while getting insufficient training and 0 additional compensation. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?

There is a reason the wage complaint form is the very first bookmark on my browser. If you work here expect to file a wage complaint form for every check you where supposed to receive. This problem is so bad each time you call in they will have trouble finding your case in the hundreds of other cases. Even with filing these forms constantly i was NEVER FULLY PAID, i started a job at a carwash for 2/5ths the amount of hours at a lower wage and have actually received my paycheck for triple the amount i was actually paid by ppl. Ppl offers no benefits, no time off, not enough money to live off of even if you are working 9am-(12pm/2am) every day. I was supposed to be paid $14.25 before tax, with these hours my average check was around $300. Yes you should see a problem with these numbers. DO NOT WORK FOR THESE SCUMBAGS. 

PPL has a terrible reputation in our community & I should have known better than to apply.  Management is more like a sorority.  They are catty and run in a pack.   Upper management preached work life balance.  But that isn’t the reality.  They expect you to kill yourself to meet unrealistic expectations of perfection while they constantly move the goal line.  Surveys to employees resulted in employees being unsatisfied with the number of meetings and the constant changes.  The answer to that was to have meetings about the upcoming changes.  Your job responsibilities will increase, but your pay will not.   They constantly hold bonuses and merit increases over your head.  You are extremely micromanaged.  You are asked to fill out a document weekly reporting everything you have gotten done that week.   Managers speak to you like you are a child- not a college educated professional.  Sometimes you have more experience and knowledge about the program you are working with than your manager.  I have actually been asked to train my manager.  You are evaluated based on a matrix they will not show you.   Just do yourself a favor, find another job.  

Working as a Customer Service Agent at PPL has been one of the most challenging roles I’ve experienced. On a typical day, agents are expected to handle 70–80 calls while effectively performing responsibilities that often go beyond the scope of the position — including tasks that resemble those of registration specialists, supervisors, and even management.

The emotional toll of the role is significant. Agents regularly deescalate highly stressful situations involving disabled clients, caretakers, and frustrated family members regarding the CDPAP program. These calls can be intense and emotionally draining, especially while trying to meet strict call metrics that are heavily enforced.

Turnover has been extremely high. Of the large hiring class brought in about a year ago, very few remain. Many employees seem to stay primarily out of necessity rather than job satisfaction. Opportunities for growth are limited, and promotions do not appear to follow a clear or transparent path.

While the experience has strengthened my ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations, the workload, lack of support, and emotional strain make it a difficult environment to sustain long-term.

In almost 7 years I have had three separate clients each with their own facilitator. As far as the company as a whole, I can’t really complain. I deal with my clients directly and then their facilitators but not the actual company that much  of the three facilitators - only one has done a job she should be proud of. The first one I dealt with made appointments with my client on days I didn’t work and then would call and expect me to be there at the last minute. She missed scheduled appointments and didn’t turn in paperwork a lot which messed up my pay more than once. The second one got all of my new hire information over the phone and I was to fill out the forms when I got them and send them in. She never sent my information in so while I’m basically working for free and waiting on my paperwork, she never even submitted it. I ended up working 6 weeks with no pay and then I had to stop. She never returned a call, email or text. My third facilitator has been a true Godsend.

This is much better than it was having one company instead of all of the other companies that were just screwing around, but the pay is less and I don’t like that, but they are not like making us go through all the hassle and I do like that too so it just depends on your priorities you can give them a call if you need something but otherwise you’re on your own managing yourself which is OK, but you can’t expect the clients to manage themselves because they are unable to usually the self directed ones usually are not really a self directed as they would like them to be in. They certainly can’t handle doing any paperwork or any work at all or calling them on the phone if you have a problem. You have to be very self-directed as an aid to be able to do this job which is fine as long as you are able to call and handle business on your own and take care of all your credentials and things that you need to do your health assessments then it’s fine. I don’t mind them taking over one bit. 

I've been with the company since 2019.  We've been through a lot of shake ups and changes since then.  The worse has been parting ways with Public Consulting Group and being sold off as a separate company.  Since then, we have been shedding employees left and right.  The company can't keep up with the workload, they can't keep any new employees, and they're causing long term employees to burn out and leave by continuing to overload them with more and more work in a desperate effort for the company to play last minute catch up while the contract is due for renewal.  And yet they keep enrolling more new people into the program that will get subpar, if any, support.  We have participants who haven't had any contact FROM us in over a year.  It's starting to feel like a sinking ship.  

Cons: You're often required to work outside of business hours to keep up. Bonuses are based on company wide performance not just NJ state.  The only real reward for doing your job well is being given more work to do and cleaning up other peoples messes.  It takes at least three months for anyone to be fired for poor performance, if not longer.
