Be careful and trust your intuition if you start to feel uneasy as it will save you time and aggravation.
There are few good people there (currently) that make it bearable but be cautious with what you are told and believe. They really push the CAPLICO narrative however living up to it is a whole different story. I give them credit for their "marketing" of any position open which they will always have openings.
Training and transparency is a challenge at best and management is easily the worst l've ever experienced. Make sure you document everything and double check your pay checks. If you are not there long enough for it to matter don't bother putting it on your resume unless necessary. You will also realize through any exceptional reviews on this forum that they mostly come from current employees trying to minimize the high employee turnover and who are those pushing the CAPLICO narrative and solely for PROFITABILITY but not quite making it into your paycheck….so sad for healthcare based companies.
You'll hear the term census more than anyone needs to stomach.

Director of Op is insensitive and exhibits no remorse with cold demeanor. Higher ups make excuses instead of repercussions. The pay does not match job duties. You’re paid on the 10th and 25th of each month. Check your paychecks it never seems to add up! Benefits are horrible. Eligible for benefits after 90days of employment and ineligible for PTO payout if there for under a year. Huge bill incurred after one PCP visit. Insurance does not even cover flu shots. Training is horrible very disorganized and conflicting which causes a lot of confusion and misunderstanding. Overall there’s a lot of growth needed with this company which is why the turnover rate here is horrendous. The clinic is also very nasty


Worked here for over 6 years now and would not change. Went from field nurse to preceptor to Clinical Manager and thrived in each role.  My manager is supportive, allows for autonomy and growth while challenging you to be your best.  The field and office staff work well together to improve processes when needed to provide the best possible patient care to the community.  Since this is home health/hospice, the typical face to face encounters do not happen and Puget is great at providing opportunities to gather and get to know your colleagues outside of work hours, which is great. 

The company itself and what they do is amazing. However, the management is terrible. The pay isn’t well for office staff. The person in HR is rude, & there’s zero room for growth. They say they put their employees first, but the turn around is bad. People quit, walk out back to back. During interviews they make it seem like the best place to work, & it’s not at all. Very unorganized, not really any training, not sure what your job duties are they kinda just make stuff up. I honestly felt like they were talking to me like I was dumb half the time. A lot of their employees talk within each other about how unhappy they are there. It’s a joke. 

Great place to work and a premiere home health agency to care for your loved ones. Great pay, opportunities for advancement and the management listens to their employees and enacts change based on their suggestions. Many clinicians have been there for several years to decades. Top-notch medical care for their patients along with a dedicated certified wound care team to manage patients with chronic or hard-to-heal wounds. The best place I have worked!

The awesome staff! The kindness and caring of the management as well as the professionalism of the company!

Initial startup was difficult with others ideas on how to do things at times!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
As an outreach liaison it was my responsibility to educate the medical providers and personel on the services so very busy job!

I love the flexibility of this job but I hate how much work I had to take home with me. I think that’s any home health job. It has no reflection on the company itself. Puget sound home health is probably the best home health company I’ve ever worked for. I feel supported and appreciated and the management team steps in and helps out with visits in the field when needed, they listen to our needs, they provide fine outside of work activities. For example this year they are doing a masquerade party for our holiday party.

PSHH is rated 4.5.  We passed our state survey difficiency free.  Medicare cited only minor issues and management always ensures employee success to meet expectations of our referral sources.

I moved to Gig Harbor and before moving managed the east team as far as Buckley, WA.  After working for PSHH, I dont believe I could work for another home health agency.

I would prefer to move on to a job with 10 or 12 hour shifts and work for PSHH as needed.

Small business with small working area for individuals.  It's very difficult for a small business to survive in the current economy.  Utilizing paper forms vs. computerized EHR.  Many employees critical to the operation and success of the business preferred paper work vs. computerized, resulted in lack of productivity and efficiency.  Most other employees within the company possessed intermediate level skills with the exception of the owner and providers.

Puget is a great agency.  The people are real, honest and personable.  I trust those that i work with and know my team supports both me and my family.  i enjoy being an active healthcare member of our community and appreciate the need of home health more now than ever during COVID.
