What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part of the company is the flexible pay. This company promotes pretty quickly and the pay scale matches.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The lack of standardized procedure, the leadership lacks knowledge of the job procedures and provide little assistance, the high turnover rate ensures most days will be spent working alone without a break or any idea of when relief will show up. Managers leave large gaps in the schedule, hoping employees already on shift will stay for coverage instead of scheduling someone to work the hours. Constantly reprimanded for things that were never made clear by management. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful, no trust in leadership. They refuse to adequately schedule people so most days are spent working alone, scrambling to complete all your tasks for the day lest you be written up.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Opening the Cafe, cleaning up from the previous shift, stocking from the previous shift, running service alone all day with no break, begging other employees to come in for coverage so you can actually leave on time or you'll be written up for overtime.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Working with a great group of people. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There was no stressful part of working with this company.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I worked at a Boys Highschool with this company and it was a all around great experience.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Starting at 8 AM, making sure the cooler was stocked first then making sure the condiments were full plastic ware also. Making sure I had a correct money till. After the breakfast coward I stocked the Salad Bar. I helped back in the kitchen with Salads, desserts, candy. Made sure I had everything for the Lunch coward. Then after lunch I started cleaning up the lunch room after I turned my cash register till in.  Restocked the cooler with milk, pop, and juice.  Made sure the desserts and snacks were refilled. Assisted with cleaning dishes, putting food away checking the temps on refrigerator and walk in refrigerator. Put clean dishes and pots and pans away. Made sure counters were clean and everything turned off and locked up before I left.

This has been my favorite company to work for in the Food/Hospitality industry. I have work/life balance AND the joys of the restaurant world - my customers are students. And you are off in the evenings unless working a special event. Majority restaurant jobs includes nights and weekends - not here. The hardest part of the job isn't hard, its the challenge of staying current with food trends and making sure that the students AND parents approve what is being served. We have deadlines and reports to complete just as any other food establishment to run smoothly behind the scenes. Some areas become hard to hire, but once you're in, you shouldn't want to leave. 

I found Quest Food Management to be a place that is steadily growing but hasn't forgotten its roots on what makes it a successful business.  The thing that makes this business successful is the people that work there.  It is more like a family than a bunch of coworkers.   Time is taken out of each day to check on each other's well being.   Along with the occasional group lunches, making sure that we have fun while working is important.  I have been very stressed out at other jobs but not here.  Not that I have less to do, I actually have more responsibility than I have ever had before, but the stress just isn't there.  And when you do a good job, they make sure that you are recognized for it.  Overall, a great place to work.

Their flexible with hours and will cross train you to find the right fit for you within the companys available positions that need filled but pretty competitive in some positions (  just my observation)

Lots of clicks with employees and positions 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Diverse kind of culture I guess in ways but the common goal is always the same and thats exceptional quality and standards of food service 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy I do many different things that help support other team members stay at there station instead of running around. Guess I'm kinda a gopher with skills

I have very few complaints about my time at Quest Food Management Services. There are stressful days like with any job, but for the most part, I have clear-cut instructions on what I need to get accomplished on a weekly basis. I appreciate the automation of things like payroll and data entry for the sales and purchases. The accounting department is amazing and helps you with anything and everything. I am a very detail-oriented person, and I appreciate that the company is the same. Instead of having to constantly find answers and further instructions on certain projects, I can count on them to always provide the clearest instructions possible. That is great news for people who have potentially struggled with this in the past with a job like I have.

I have worked as a cashier for just over a year. I am very happy with my current position, and I can't wait to see what the future holds with the company. I just want to say to people that working in a school is awesome. Many of us have “had careers” or big jobs and are just looking to do something meaningful so we can still be present for our families. This job has been a blessing and perfect for me. Being able to make an impact in schools is very rewarding for this type of job. I know that the options offered by Quest Food Management can impact a child's life in a lot of ways by helping to create healthier habits. Working directly with people in charge of putting meals together for students keeps the job very interesting and rewarding as a parent of four myself.

Quest Food Management Services has been my favorite job since graduation. After bouncing around with a few different similar positions, no company is as organized as this one. They expect a lot out of me from the very beginning, but I was able to get everything done because of the training was good and I think I have the best manager in the company. Anyone who has found themselves in a tough job should understand that they do not have to settle. There are quality employers out there who are more than willing to offer opportunities that can make a huge amount of difference in a person’s life from a professional standpoint. I may not make all the money in the world but I like my job and the people I work with and like going to work.

Typical work day includes a lot of different jobs - making food, serving food, doing dishes, cash register, sweeping & mopping floors, changing water in 3 sinks, picking up trays.  They hire employees at 5 hours which can make it hard to accomplish all the required tasks.  Kitchens seem to be short staffed so you are required to wear many hats including cleaning the kitchen.  Culture was good for the most part.  They can expect you to go to another school if they feel like it but they don't compensate  for the mileage between schools.  
5 hour employees do not receive any benefits.    

The work environment at Quest Food Management Services has been very solid the entire time I have worked with them. The leadership and management team has a lot of experience and is very helpful in providing answers for newcomers to make them feel more at ease as well. As the company continues to grow, it seems like they are very focused on giving promotional opportunities to current workers. That always adds a little bit of extra motivation that can keep people going. Landing new deals with different schools and companies shows that the company is rising, so more job opportunities will be there in time. It’s a busy and fun place to be a part of.
