I’ve been with Quorum for 14 years, and have been afforded many opportunities for growth and advancement in my career.  Quorum has been forward thinking in creating programs and product offerings to ensure the organization continues to thrive in ever changing times in the financial services industry.  This has provided a stable place to work, as well as opportunity for employees to take part in interesting projects and initiatives and feel like they’ve made a difference and bring value to the organization.  In the technology group, we’ve been able to take advantage of tools in the marketplace and develop/innovate on top of that to change the way the company works, including ease of remote work and a flexible work environment, which is a huge plus, especially for those staff with young families.  There is a good deal of staff camaraderie, where we support each other and want to see each other grow and succeed, and we also like to celebrate and have fun. The medical coverage, 401K, and success share program are incredible benefits.  In addition, Quorum has been supportive of their employees and put their health and safety first during the pandemic.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part about working for this company is the compensation. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The worst part about working for this company is not being trained and not having training materials but being held accountable from your manager as if you know your job, asking for help be not given help, given the wrong job titles to pay you less money they being switched and not offered the salary for your title, being told by your boss I understand you are eager to learn the job but don’t say you can do it say I am up for the challenge, discouragement from management, feeling like you are going to lose your job and given that impression due to lack of training, management talking about employees to other employees that’s are not in management. It was the worst experience. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Favoritism at an all time high. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I fulfilled the job descriptions daily that was provided to me

Quorum's management team does a great job of coming up with ways to keep employees engaged through various events and activities throughout the year. The work/life flexibility has been a tremendous benefit; the option to work remotely cuts down on commuting time and related stress. As with any company, the type of work you do and your historical performance are considered when determining whether remote is an option for any employee (barring the current environment where the majority of the workforce is remote due to COVID-19). I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to try different roles within the organization, with employer-paid off- and on-site training to grow relevant skills. Quorum is a small company so there are limited opportunities for advancement; something to weigh against the other benefits (flexibility, great medical, 401k, etc.) when determining what's most important to you. Overall, I believe Quorum is a great place to work, which is why I've been here for 15+ years!

My biggest complaint about Quorum is the lack of job specific training and mixed communication from the top down.  
If you have a heavy technical background and a lot of experience, even for a lower level role you should be okay.  If you are hoping to go in and be trained on anything, keep looking.  
Quorum love to boast about a great culture and show pictures of their trendy café area as evidence,  but it is more or less for show at least the Starbucks coffee machine worked.
On the plus side, you will have the ability to work remotely and show up to work in jeans and sneakers if that is your thing.

 

There is a shark in the sea at Quorum. The shark has entered from a much larger sea where he was canned and now swims hoisting the chip on his shoulder high for all to see through his terrible and obnoxious loudness. The sharks has caused too many fatalities is his path to hire his old cronies and has caused long term hard working employee to fight for their job before be devoured by the shark. Senior Management now huddles the shark as their body guard if you will as the shark shine his pearly whites to them and totes his dead carcasses as trophies to them like a house cat would a dead mouse. To all my fallen comrades, I know the road will always rise to meet your feet with a cool wind on your back.

An orginization that hires many talented employees and offers some great product and services. The most enjoyable part of the job was the customer interaction and the once great focus on "member" service. The mangement strategy was a little confusing as there seemed to be too many managers so it made taking direction difficult.I learned many sales and customer service strategies that I hope to use with my next employer.

Never in my life have I worked for a nastier company. Unless you loved high school and all the drama that came with it, stay away. The people at this company are mentally abusive. Doesn't matter how smart you are, how perfectly you do your work,  or how long you work each day to ensure you get your work completed, if they don't like you (for whatever reason) they will bully you and make each day it's own special h**l taking a toll on your health and sanity.

Quorum empowers its employees to identify opportunities, and then find creative ways to implement them. Being responsible and acknowledged for the results you achieve is a great sense of satisfaction and accomplishment when you come to work.

Couldn't be more proud of the way our company has handled the pandemic and the ease with which we transitioned to working from home. Grateful to be employed during this time, and happy it's with a company like the Q.

I love everything about Quorum - their values and culture and the things that employees have at their fingertips is amazing and nothing I've ever had at any other employer. The interview process - the recruiters are professional and treat everyone with the highest level of professionalism from the first conversation! My manager is the best I have ever experienced at an employer because she is knowledgeable, easy to approach, and makes time on a weekly basis for each of us in the department!
