There are pros and cons for every job. This one has more cons than pros. The work load given is overwhelming and the expectations are unrealistic. When it comes to organization, there is none. They have been attempting to build structure for the past years, still there are too many chiefs and not enough indians. There is no real source of HR/management to address problems. The attorneys are inexperienced beginners which is great to give them a starting chance however, it does not leave much hope for the paralegals to get the answers they need in order to get their work done. When you start there is maybe a day of training then you better figure it out from there. The health insurance they have available is a joke. Great they offer it, but really who can afford a 4k deductible when you do not even make half that. The pay is better than some, but it does not compensate for the amount of work that one ends up doing. The attorneys are overworked and overwhelmed. So here is the thing, they want you to properly take care of 200+ clients, but do not want to properly take care of the people that work there. If you want to create a good business the idea should be to work from the inside out. How is anyone suppose to be happy to go to work and do there job if they continuously feel taken for granted. They only people that actually matter are the ones that are in management/supervisor positions. The best part of the job are the relationships that you create with the co-workers.

Oh, and if you want to receive the $100 Christmas bonus, you better show up to the forced Client Holiday Party that you are not compensated for time wise. Then you can watch all of the clients that have talked trash to you all year long pull from a money bag, win 55" T.Vs, Laptops, MK purses and watches etc.. Makes you think, you can afford to give all of these gifts away, but you can not afford to give your employees a raise or better benefits.

Great place to work! This firm is definitely on its  way to the top.   Due to the firm's continuous growth there are literally endless opportunities for promotion and professional development . The attorneys and staff are kind and hardworking. Also, the management team is great. They are very caring and understanding. They make you feel appreciated by having staff appreciation events and company outings. They go out their way to make sure you have to Furthermore, I am truly proud to be apart of a  firm actually cares about it's clients and community. They actually get to know the clients and their families. They have an annual client appreciation holiday party where they give away gifts right before Christmas . Last year a former client cried when she won a laptop because she said she hadn't been able to buy her son anything for Christmas. Made my heart melt! In addition, the firm gives away several scholarships to help kids with financial needs go to college. The Firm has facilitated  back to school drives where they gave children uniforms and school  supplies. It's just s really awesome place to work..

A typical day at Reaves Law Firm is busy with morning meetings and management going over your goal for the week and to see if you need help with anything. The workplace is quiet for the most part unless you are on the telephone with clients, insurance companies, or medical providers. The hardest part of the job is when you are not focused on your daily task and staying on top of your job assignment. The enjoyable part of the job is when management asks you to share with everyone how your weekend went. It helps to motivate positive feedback to make sure that you have released any stress before starting your workday.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Coworkers were great. Management and owners are vindictive and nasty.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management was horrible. Turnover was high. I was there a little over a year and most of the people that were there when I started had left or been fired for no reason. Some people came back but did not stay long. 

Most folks are out for themselves and will throw you under the bus for their “fearless leader”.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Depressing and stressful. They want you to work all departments any hours. Weekends were almost mandatory. Everyone is interchangeable. If they ask you to clean the toilet that is what they expect. No matter the position.

There is a lot of great training material, so you will know how to do your job once you start, but you have to be mindful that there will be frequent changes. The changes are implemented, but may not last long, so it is overwhelming. 

There is an unrealistic expectation for the amount of work expected to be done, and the timeframe they want certain tasks done can be out of your hands, but you are still held accountable. 

Leadership is more like a dictatorship. People in leadership roles can be curt, dismissive, argumentative, and make you feel targeted. 

The stress from metrics and certain managers is not worth the low compensation. The raises do not keep up with the cost of living, and there are no bonuses for the support staff. 

I worked here for years until I was blessed to start my own business. Reaves taught me that work goals and life goals are directly related no matter the position. I worked my way up by believing in who I was working for (the clients) & my work ethic. I never experienced any foul play from owners although I now understand as business owner that you must implicate boundaries and expectations or they will not be met. As a Paralegal the work load was something! But everyone for the most part was very helpful in which they will ask you need ANYTHING to meet the metrics.

The foundational structure of this job is terrible. The pay & very expensive healthcare is not worth the stress. The two days you get off has to be taken just to recover from the work week. Training & development is not long or thorough enough. The atmosphere is very “do what I say or get fired”. If you have an opinion that does not align with upper management, if you don’t want to say “good morning” to certain people, if you speak up for yourself, you will not only be considered a threat to the “loyalty system” but also a target. HR is there to protect the best interests of the job. Not you! non-existing sense of security. An entitled CEO. High turn over rate. 

What I learned? Not much considering they use ChatGPT for literally everything.

Extreme micromanaging, Management is clearly focused only on profit, yet they claim to be for the people. Very unorganized onboarding process where you are hired and placed in a tekemarketing capacity for 3 months. Most employees don’t last 3 months. Turnover is unbelievable. I feel bad for attorneys the leave other firms to come here. 

This place is going downhill and it’s a sinking ship so don’t waste your time. They are going broke. From retaliation in the work place to putting fear in employees this place is a joke and ran by hypocritical people. You’re better off going somewhere else where you at least have a chance. This is not just talk I’m living it everyday I’m just waiting on my time to leave don’t get stuck here. They have fired all the attorneys so they wouldn’t have to pay out a bonuses. DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE. 

This is not for the person looking to be trained. You have to have experience coming in the door. Dont expect to grow. They have positions that they make up as they go and you'll never know it existed until its filled. His own cousins called it a circus. His wife needs to go back to teaching and leave the practice of law to the professional.  It has great potential just the wrong people in management.
