When I was hired, I was under the impression based on what I was told in my interview that I would  have leaders that would be available, be able to grow as a clinician, and would be able to regularly bonus. I have been very happy with the team I work with at our clinic but the company's upper management is a different story. Since I was hired, over time I have come to realize that the main priority of the company's leadership is to make a profit and see as many patients as possible, whether they are a good fit for the program or not. The judgment of the providers in the different specialties very often is not respected and there are times when those in leadership positions with overturn the provider's treatment decisions. I have seen it multiple times where this happened and it was harmful to patient care and the clinic environment. The "leaders" often will say they are listening and make promises, then there will never be follow through on those promises or staff members are told essentially to "just deal with it" when they address their concerns. There is a strong emphasis on doing things in a specific way that leadership has deemed to be the way things are run that it leaves little to no room for clinicians to utilize the full extent of their skills or to be able to grow the way they want. The program can be helpful for patients, but the culture is negligent for providers.

What is the best part of working at the company?
All this company cares about is getting as many patients to join their program regardless  if they need it or not to make the owners pockets FAT while leaving their employees underpaid and understaffed. This company is money hungry for sure opening hellaaa clinics while not even having enough employees for the clinics that are already open

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They try to cram in as many patients as possible into each clinic so that they can make more money. Regardless if those patients are appropriate for their program or not. If you’re considering applying here, just a heads up, Management and higher ups are NOT on your side, no matter how much they may make you THINK they are. There is no protection from possibly dangerous patients that might be in the clinic.

Work environment and culture is very hostile and certain employees thinking they’re better than everyone else because they get special treatments from management. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Complete every task while trying to get through the day in a very hostile working environment.

As a PA not every day is the same and that is what makes it great!  A typical day would include going over insurance benefits with patients, discussing program details, talking to patients in the lobby to ensure all are comfortable and feel safe in clinic, making calls to prospective patients and assisting my teammates when needed.    In my clinic team members go above and beyond for our patients and each other.  My PA team members are supportive and know how to keep things fun!  I have learned how much I appreciate to work in a clinic with Director who listens first and is always willing to support!  It is a great feeling to be a part of individuals that are kind, fun and amazing in the support given to the patients.  Clearly, it is a good feeling every day knowing if I need support to assist our patient needs, it is there.   The most enjoyable part of my job talking with patients in our lobby and seeing the progress they make in this unique program.  

Management is horrendous, and expects too much work for extremely low pay. They're unfortunately emotionally impulsive, making decisions based on their immediate emotions rather than thoughtful consideration. They often avoid taking responsibility for mistakes and will blame others or external factors for issues, ultimately lacking any real accountability. Management struggle to understand or care about employees' feelings and perspectives, leading to poor interpersonal relationships and lack of support, while reacting defensively to criticism by taking it personally rather than using it constructively. The stress created by their aggressive behavior, unreasonable expectations, and low pay leads to high employee turnover, low job satisfaction, and a lack of team cohesion. Decent short-term position, impossible to consider for the long-term unless you enjoy constant stress and being pushed. 

After 3 days of training, my first words to describe working at Recovia we're "used car" sales vibe. I generally felt the focus was on making as much money as possible and working the employees to death. The focus was on having butts in seats so they could bill, not on quality care.   I was told I would have plenty of time for training. By week 2, I was thrown to the wolves. I wasn't provided with any administrative time to learn the material I was supposed to teach to the members in group. They just pass patients around with no regard to how they may feel in getting a new counselor while in the program.  Ironically, the program focuses on wellness and mind/body - this is NOT the same for the staff that work there.  I will say the providers and office staff were really kind and that was the only positive. 

The miscommunication from higher ups is so out of control, none of them are on the same page. If you do one thing someone asks of you, you’ll get scolded by the another person for doing it. They don’t trust you in your ability at all. They have you do unnecessary lists to prove you did your job which literally takes away from your important tasks. Oh and they spent millions for AI to take control of patient schedules which is highly unorganized. Patients leave all the time because of their frustration with their schedules that are inconsistent and go against their wishes, and we just have to tell them there’s nothing we can do. It’s nearly impossibly to earn PTO no matter how much you work. Apparently their budget is tight, well maybe don’t hire robots to do a bad job at something a human could’ve done. 

 worked at Recovia in a behavioral health setting as a Referral Coordinator, where I supported both administrative and patient-facing tasks. My role involved coordinating referrals, communicating with patients, and ensuring they understood their care plans. I frequently assisted Spanish-speaking patients by translating and helping bridge communication gaps. I also worked in a fast-paced environment that required attention to detail, organization, and compassion—especially when supporting patients navigating mental health services. This experience strengthened my ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and prioritize patient-centered care.

Like other reviewers have said. The bottom line of this company is money. They attempt to fill up the clinics as much as possible without enough staff. Was given very little training and thrown right into the fire and management had unrealistic expectations of performance considering how little time you have to learn. Management is not on your side and they will pick at you for every little thing. They want to promote a certain image and if you don't fit that, they will pick at you no matter how well you may perform your actual job. Co-workers were ok but you really do not have much interaction as it is constant work all day and you feel pretty siloed. There also some incentives promised from the beginning but never followed through on.

It’s a great place to work. Management is awesome and as long you can work you will never have any issues. Recovia does so much for the community and it’s exciting too see them grow.

There are some entitled staff that work there and try to take advantage of a great company

Company culture and believes are great.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Lots of incoming phone calls, processing of referrals and explaining the services that are offered. You definitely need to know how to multitask. If you love helping people this is the place to be!

Providers are encouraged to upcode in order to obtain a bonus

Providers watched secretly and reported to the state for any infraction. Low pay only based on new grad status.  Vacation time difficult to accrue and hard to schedule. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Alway new support staff. Revolving door with  best people leaving with 1-2 year. Salaries  kept low for owners to sell as quickly as possible. New charting and documentation requirements rolled out weekly.
