CEO demanded that staff work in blistering cold, polar vortex, weather forcing new employees to be the only staff on site as others were able to use sick/vacation days. 
Management were scared of Director over all the programs because he would insult them and embarrass them for making errors. 
Management would flirt with staff and get completely drunk during company outings as he inappropriately commanded staff to dance with him, because his wife wasn't present. 
Hours were extremely long and unrealistic as company did not believe in overtime, so "flexing" hours was a must, but if you flexed too much, company demanded that you "manage" time better, but it was virtually impossible to do so as its human service. 
Manager demanded that your calendar be completely full for 8 hours 2 months in advance, with little to no wiggle room. 
Managers acted as if they cared when you had to take care of yourself and call in using sick time, but then demanded that you work on your day off to cover the time you were out sick. 
Many workers worked to the point of exhaustion due to demanding managers who demanded perfection. 
IF you didn't "drink the koolaid" you were seen as an outcast and targeted for being different. 
Many workers left with an "effective immediately" resignation due to the maltreatment and overwhelming responsibilities of the job. 
Director over all programs would promise you leadership position and elevation for months, once he filled positions, which took 6 months to fill, but he never followed through with these promises.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I really enjoyed working alongside wonderful social workers and case managers. Department leaders and processes were dated. The culture was very dark and intimidating. I worked in the family preservation department under a male leader who was great at bringing in business for the company which means $$$ for the company, however was unable to successfully retain staff. I have never worked for an organization that was unable to retain staff. Co workers came to me in fear asking for advice and I felt helpless, I was unable to properly guide them because I didn’t want to further damage them and lead them wrong, so they ultimately never returned. 
The male leader would threaten staff telling them there’s were not wanted if they didn’t want to stay and also told staff “good luck” finding a better paying job in the area. I was applaud at the aggressive approach and tone that was always delivered. The overall energy in the department was something I can’t explain, just dark and cold!

The environment was Dark and Cold. Poor leadership skills within a particular department. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Servicing families in the community. Assisting youth in the foster care system.

The matinance position I worked in was meh on good days and awful on most others. 

Don't be attached to your schedule because it *will* change. I was initially hired to work 11:30 AM to 8 PM which worked well for me because I struggle with early shifts. That was then changed to 9 AM to 5:30 PM which I struggled with. When signs that I was struggling with the hour change began to pop up in the form of tardiness I was told by Management to just get more sleep and wake up earlier. After the first hour change it was then highly suggested that I came in even earlier around 7 AM.

The workload was immense and on a tight schedule but the amount of things like daily tasks or routine work took up most of my time making it hard for me to succeed in finishing everything in a day.

Management is basically never around. And when they are around it causes stress levels to rise. 

Also don't let the "maintenance" title fool you. This job rarely comprised of actual maintenance work and was closer to a custodian/landscaper.

4/10 place to work at best with poor and absent management that will place an absurd workload on you with poor compensation.

My day at work begins with a positive and planned approach. I follow the children's lead when it furthers their inquiry on a study. I like that I have a positive work relationship with the other teachers in my building. I follow up with families on a daily basis and keep open a 3 way communication between myself, caseworkers and parents. I feel that everyone should be informed on what is going on because it creates stability and less chaos. I would like management to be more informative and non degrading. Having a degrading management team makes the teachers come together but it makes employees want to close doors constantly and does not keep a team attitude. My most enjoyable part of my job is definitely seeing each and every child smile at their successes. It feels rewarding knowing that I am able to share those moments with them.

Job is productive with room for advancement. The hardest part of the job is incorporating the many tasks to be done into the day. Some co-workers could make it difficult for you if they did not car for you. While I have had the privilege of working with others. Some people who can just click with, while others you may not. 

A typical day at work is me going in setting up for the day, completing some work on the computer, maybe taking or making some phone calls. Completing plans for the day with the children, talking to parents and keeping all children safe daily.

I have learned that with this company, it takes a village to raise a child and that everyone maybe needed to help a family.  

The most enjoyable part of the job is how I make a difference in a child's life, how they constantly make me laugh, how I learn from them as well as them learning from me. They bring smiles to my face and their hugs be right on time. I always ask them, how did you know Mrs. McGee needed a hug today.

A da a work start at 6 am until 5pm. I pick up children after that I drop them off at school then I go to be the front dest atendant until my next route starts. After two hours of this I go dropp off kids and pick up some more at the same time to bring to school. After dropping off the kid I head in for luch for 30min.Then I assist a teacher with the classroom work with mentally challenged kids and also children with behavior problem until my last route. I have learned the value of team work. I love my manage she is a great person to work under. My co-workers and I have the same goal and that is to be here for these children. The hardest part of my job is work is know that the people I work for don't believe in treating theri employes fairly they havent given us raises in 5 yeas and say they are not. the most ejoyable part in working is the children to see that I have a great impact on a child that grows to love me as I do them is the greatest joy of all.

A typical day at work embraces the learning opportunities, that meet the educational needs of each and every child I come in contact with.  In my previous positions with the Early Childhood Educational profession, I have learned that I have a passion for young children.  I have managed up to a total of eleven staff members.  My co-workers would express their perception of me, as a committed team player.  The hardest part of my job I have ever faced, is believing a child has been incorrectly labeled; due to the fact I have always been opposed to medicating children, because of their behavior; I feel that there should be more patience demonstrated, prior to labeling.  The most enjoyable part of my job, is witnessing the smile on the face of a child after accomplishments.     

A typical days was to make sure all parents that needed help was able to received the necessary services that was needed for their child/children. Working for this company gave me great a great enthusiasm for being able to help family that needed help get proper services for their child/children. 

A typical day at work is working with challenged families and children.
Helping children make it to school and ensure they are healthy. Working with families who have daily crisis and buredens that prohibit them from moving forward and or suceeding in life. The hardest part about this job is seeing the system fail families. Not everyone receives the help and assistance they need from governmental and local agencies. The most enjoyable part of the job is knowing that in my heart I am helping families strive to be their best and be able to forsee proverty levels.

the management has unrealistic expectations. Not payed well. The management will be late to every meeting but if you are suppose to be at work early and you show up a minute late you are going to hear about how you are always late. It's a lot of driving to bad areas, don't expect to get home for dinner during the school year if you are salaried. The benefits are not good. You will be overloaded with work and under trained, the management will have just about as much knowledge as you will. You will do work from home after your finished for the day.
