Renew Wound Care

Typical day - start early (my choice), anywhere from 6-730 depending on staff availability. ReNew management encourages no more than 10 mins per patient visit which is doable once you have the experience. Average facility has 20 patients, so moving at a relaxed pace would take about 3 hours and 20 mins, which means I am home by lunch if I only have one building. 

What I have learned - a lot about wounds, insurances, medicare reimbursement schedules, debridement.

Management - Probably the weakest area of the company. They are inexperienced and learning. It does not bother me personally, as they don't do anything to hinder my workflow. I think that some people in the company feel unsupported, so if you prefer hand-holding, you might want something different. I went back to school so that I could enjoy the autonomy of being a provider, carving out my own way, and I get to do that with this job so I'm pretty thrilled about it. I never have to meet with management in person, they only meet once a month for an hour video call which usually offers some benefit, and they are absolutely willing to lend an ear (change might not come, but they will surely listen). I have never felt like they are looking over my shoulder, which has taken some getting used to because my previous jobs all had a surplus of middle-managers to police the staff.

Workplace culture - Pretty dependent on you. Facilities are all different, and flexibility is an absolute must. If you get stressed by constant changes in staff, supplies, and schedules, you might be overwhelmed by the facilities. People in the healthcare world use nursing homes as stepping stones to grander plans, so the turnover is incredibly high. Not uncommon for people to last less than a year. This can create some problems if you are not willing to take initiative and demand what you need from the facilities. Again, if you need a lot of hand-holding, this job is not for you. If you would enjoy the chance to be a leader and carve out something for yourself (no pun intended), this is the place to do it. 

Hardest part of my job - reminding everyone that I'm not a wound nurse, and managing expectations that I'm not there to do wound care. This is difficult because I am a NP, so I am conflicted as a nurse leaving patients without completed care. Some facilities with more resources provide additional staff to perform wound care during rounds, however some do not. 

Most enjoyable part of my job - I LOVE the pay schedule. We are paid a base salary that we never make less than, and then we are paid a productivity bonus monthly on top of that. The more productive you are, the bigger the bonuses. As someone who has always worked my butt off, it is so satisfying to see the immediate return each month of my bonus checks rather than having to amp myself up for arguing in my yearly review for more money. The bonuses are not slim either :) If you are able to see 90-100 patients per week and perform 20-25 debridements, you should expect at least a 25% additional payout on top of the salary (which is already competitive). I have hit bonuses MUCH higher than that as well in a busy month. The part of this I like the most is that a busy month means I will see an immediate reward. 

Joining ReNew Wound Care of Georgia has been a fantastic experience, even in the short time I've been here. The company’s transparency stands out—leadership regularly communicates any changes, which makes me feel informed and valued. Our HR team is amazing; they're not only available whenever we need them but are also genuinely caring and supportive, creating a positive work environment.

One of the best aspects of my role here is the compensation. I'm paid above market, with the added opportunity to earn an RVU bonus. The benefits package is also excellent, with 30 PTO days and 10 sick days that I can use as I need. Health, dental, and vision coverage is significantly better and more affordable than what I had at my previous hospital job, which is a huge plus.

Another great resource is our dedicated Education Team, who provide ongoing support and guidance. The Quality Team is also there to ensure we maintain the highest standards, so we have support from every angle to succeed.

Even as a full-time employee, I have the flexibility to complete my assigned buildings in three or four days, leaving me the option to assist other providers when they need help. My team is incredible, full of knowledgeable and dedicated people from whom I've already learned so much. Working at ReNew Wound Care has been a truly rewarding experience, and I couldn’t be happier to be part of such a well-rounded and supportive company.

I’ve been with Renew Wound Care for a while now, and I can confidently say it’s been a fantastic experience. The pay is competitive, and the flexibility in the schedule is a game changer. I can start my day early, which allows me to pick my kids up from school without any stress.

That way you know it isn't people favorite but comes from us on the ground putting in the patient care each day and working with each other. 

Overall, it’s a great place to work, and I’m excited to see where the company goes from here! They hire full-time or part-time. I started part-time and moved to full-time. I get 30 days of PTO and 10 sick days. 5 days of PTO roll over and you get all your sick time upfront which is nice when you are a single parent.  



Review of Renew

I absolutely love working at Renew! This place has been a fantastic opportunity for me to learn and grow, and I've truly become a specialist in my area. One of the highlights of my job is working alongside a diverse group of people from various backgrounds who are genuinely passionate about wound care. It’s inspiring to be part of a team that continuously strives to improve and excel in our field. We work with the forgotten population, and that is super important to me.

When I first started, I struggled a bit with the independence required in this role, as I was used to being micromanaged. However, I quickly adapted and now appreciate the autonomy that comes with it. It’s empowering to take ownership of my work and build my patient load.

The benefits are solid, although I do wish ReNew covered more of the insurance cost. We had our first increase in 4 years this open enrollment, so I feel that is very good. —Over the past six months, we’ve seen a significant culture shift that has made the work environment even more positive, and I’m excited to see how things continue to evolve. Removing some of the toxic workers makes all the difference for everyone else here becuase we are called to healthcare and being supportive of each other.  

Additionally, the base pay here is competitive for my area, and the RVU payouts are also generous. If you want to work the money will follow. Overall, I feel grateful to be part of such a forward-thinking organization. Highly recommend!

Working at ReNew Wound Care has been one of the most challenging experiences of my career. The company has gone through multiple layoffs this year, at least five, which has left staffing extremely short. Because of that, taking PTO is nearly impossible, as there’s no one left to cover shifts.
Leadership is effectively nonexistent. Most people in management positions have little to no experience in their roles, which makes it difficult to get meaningful guidance or support. The culture is one of favoritism and disorganization, and employees are often set up to fail rather than supported to succeed.
I was regularly expected to take on double the workload, covering multiple facilities, and was pressured to sacrifice personal and family time just to keep clients happy. This pressure seems to stem from the company losing several contracts over the past year, creating a sense of panic rather than strategy.
If you value work-life balance, stability, or competent leadership, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. If you take a job make sure to get a higher base rate, you will never reach your ‘RVU’ even if you double buildings. The EMR system is a nightmare. You will work all day and spend 4 to 5 hours a night over-documenting for them then get emails from their overseas billing team to upcode everything.

I really love working here. Why ReNew works for me is I like to start my day early and have afternoons off for my family. My schedule is completly flexible as long as my paitent care is covered or I get  a coworker to cover for me. I have most Fridays off unless I'm covering for  a coworker. I've learned so much about wound care. I feel so confident in my craft. If I dont't know something there are so many people I can reach out to get better or the knowledge I need. Every place you work has negative apples and they are easy to avoid here. You can fly under th radar as long as you keep your head down and do your work. They do truely care about patient out come. They are supportive as well. Being part of  gourp of 100 coworkers who do what you do and have a true love for people and healing wounds is the most empowering thing I have ever been part off. I get a base pay plus RVU bonus. They cover part of our Health, Dental and Vision. We hve a 401k match as well. The RVU bonus is what you make of it. The more work you put in the more money you make. When you have teenage kids thats a prayer answered. The more paitents I help also means I help my family. If you are looking to join someplace where you can be independant yet supported you should apply! You will work with the most professional diverse  team in the wound care industry!

This week during the storms in Florida, the care and concern from everyone here was truly heartwarming. From the COO to HR, everyone checked in on me, which really shows how much this team values its members.

Speaking of the team, I couldn't ask for better colleagues. The support and camaraderie here are unmatched, and it’s been a great environment for leveling up my skills, especially in wound care. I feel like I’m growing every day!

Overall, Renew has been an amazing place to work, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to join the team. If you are self motivated and communicate, you will thrive here. 

My time with this organization was brief and ultimately not a positive experience. During my tenure, there appeared to be frequent leadership turnover and ongoing organizational restructuring. In addition, many individuals in leadership roles did not seem to have a strong background in wound care, which created challenges for clinical decision-making and support.
Communication across the organization was often inconsistent, and provider support was limited. The electronic medical record system was difficult to navigate and created significant workflow challenges. Training and onboarding processes were also limited and did not fully prepare clinicians for the expectations of the role. I also observed several structural and operational changes within a short period of time, which contributed to an environment that felt unstable.
Prospective providers may want to ask detailed questions about clinical support, leadership experience in wound care, training resources, and provider turnover before joining the organization.

Working here has been a genuinely positive experience. The leadership team is supportive, communicative, and focused on continuous improvement, which makes it easy to stay motivated and engaged. I appreciate how collaboration is encouraged — people are willing to step in, share knowledge, and work together to solve problems rather than operate in silos.

There’s a strong culture of accountability paired with trust, which gives you room to grow professionally while knowing expectations are clear. I’ve also seen a real commitment to improving processes and listening to feedback, which makes employees feel valued.

Overall, it’s a fast-moving environment with meaningful work, supportive colleagues, and leadership that cares about both outcomes and people. I would absolutely recommend it to someone looking to grow and contribute in a team-oriented setting.


The pay is competitive, with a solid base plus an RVU structure that really boosts my earnings. Any minor bumps along the way feel insignificant when I see that paycheck!

What I love most is the independence. If you need a lot of hand holding or aren’t tech-savvy, this might not be the best fit.

Our new HR team has done a fantastic job in addressing negativity and fostering a positive atmosphere. The team dynamics have really improved, and I’m excited about our direction.

With the addition of new MDs, I’ve gained so much confidence and growth with my skill. I feel genuinely supported in my growth, which is incredibly motivating.

Overall, Renew Wound Care is a fun, productive place where I can thrive. I started part-time while keeping my hospital job, but I moved to full-time and have no regrets! If you want to be valued and celebrated, this is the place for you!
