I've been working there for almost 6 years now and while the environment started out with helper management feeling like they were treating us like family they started making decisions about increasing pay for others on another shift and since then no one has trusted upper management certain floor management members have been hand selected and interviewing for internal job movement is almost pointless as they've already known who they want for the job and the interview process is only a formality. Pay is good and they guarantee us our 40 hours laid back environment for the most part if you get the right manager and even then upper management micromanages and watches your time if your line goes down even though you get told not to touch anything until your line runs again at times. Second shift is not preferred in my opinion here as the first shift does not expected to stay to help catch up if they fall behind so you can show up at noon and not leave till midnight and sometimes although rarely later.

Seems like they have a lot of young wanna be gangsters working there. They talk a lot of smack and cat call women all the time there. Management never addresses it. Work hours are alright. If you talk to everyone and come up with a good game plan everything runs smooth. If not then expect to have a bunch of problems. Gym on site. Can workout during your breaks. They also have showers there.  You can leave early but expect to pay to leave. Older workers abuse this with management with scheduling conflicts. That was a main issue I saw. Plus wishes they would spread the work around and train everyone. Problem is not everyone working there can do all of the jobs. But overall isn’t bad of a company. Plus they give a bunch of bonuses as long as your lazy workers don’t ruin $10000 dollars worth of food by not paying attention and doing the work right.

I worked as a 1st shift Floor person and the shift started at 5am, which meant you had to go to sleep relatively early to keep your strength and mind up. The job can be mind numbingly boring, but that feeling is overwhelmed by the stress and danger. Your job is critical and if you aren't the one to perform it, the line will stop at your negligence. Funny enough, your coworker's job is also your job meaning you can get just much blame as them for their negligence. Constant negligence and problems could cause the line to run later into the day, which turns your already 10 hour shift into 11 or 12 hours. The job itself was okay, but the coworkers were mostly nice. At the beginning, the environment seems mostly hostile as your coworkers might bring your mistakes and blow them out of proportion. The worst part was cleaning up the line because there's sanitors, but not enough of them, which is where you come in - to clean up. 

While I don’t have much factory experience to reference when reviewing this company, the employees I work with along with the leaders who oversee me are very easy to get along with. As well as the work which I do is manageable and requires mental focus which makes the long hours seem shorter. In other words if if you are willing to work long shifts, the time will fly by and the pay will be well worth working a 10-12 hour shift. In my department, people are very easy to work with and develop work related relationships with, accounting for the occasional “hard to work with” individual. In tens of days off and benefits, being a Christian company, you get most of every holidays off. Free turkeys/hams for Christmas or thanksgiving, all In all gives off a vibe which makes you feel like you matter. I give it a 4/5 rating but keep in mind it’s my first factory job.

The people felt like family working at Request Foods. I appreciate the Christian culture & the benefits they provided for me & my family. They care for their employees.  I recommend anybody to give this company a shot. It felt good knowing at the end of a shift that i worked hard & honestly. They provide free counseling as well as part of one of their benefits, great health insurance. Company gym with nice exercise  equipment. This job taught me responsibility & why I mattered in the company.  Hardest part of the job was waking up at 2:50am because I had to be clocked in by 3:30am. 

I love my job here at Request Foods. What stands out the most to me is how it is a family owned and run business. Even though it is a larger company, it has the family feel to it. It is not rare to see a Dewitt family member on the floor checking up on the employees and making sure that everything is running smoothly. The work/life balance is another benefit. We are expected to work Monday through Friday. We will work a majority of Saturdays through out the year, but we are always guaranteed Sundays off. The health benefits here are also amazing. The insurance rates are low and have great coverage.

I have a complicated history before I worked there so working here wasn't my choice. That said I was a good place to work the company really cared about their employees and the pay was great along with the benefits. However once in a while the work would be fast paced and you never knew where you where going tomorrow till after your shift and I work many and I mean MANY late nights which is one of the reasons why I left that being said it's a good paced factory work place that really cares about it's employees and honestly I met some of the best people there

By far the best job I have ever had would recamend to any one. Would still be there if not for my hour and forty five minute ride.

Not a lot of stress for the most part people are always willing to help

They are a loving and caring family. They put God first in all they do.

Busy never a dull moment. Always something to learn.

Been there about 8 months  and i lobe my job and the crew I work with their all great.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It would be that most of the team doesn't  speak English  very well but we are learning more about each other every day

Great environment  and the culture  is based on biblical principles  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Fast, fun, never a dull  moment always something  to learn or do

literally everyday is 5 hours unless you're a mixer and those positions are blocked by gatekeeping supervisors. Like Ed .  Not worth it, not lucrative
