My experience suggests a disconnect between the company’s hiring process and the actual execution of the role.

I was hired after completing multiple interviews, which indicated a deliberate and structured selection process. Following my start date, I was assigned to training for one week in a location outside of my designated territory.

During that time, I worked with regional leadership and was not provided with any negative feedback, performance concerns, or indications that my position was at risk.

At the conclusion of that week, I was informed that the company was “moving in a different direction.” When I requested clarification, no additional context or specific rationale was provided.

For context:

I had not yet begun working within my assigned territory
No formal performance expectations or success metrics had been communicated
No documented feedback or development guidance was provided prior to the decision

Based on these factors, the decision did not appear to be tied to measurable performance within the role.

After this experience, I reviewed publicly available employee feedback and noted recurring themes, including:

Hiring activity occurring ahead of fully established territory plans
Changes in direction shortly after onboarding
Limited clarity around expectations for new hires
Communication gaps between leadership and field-level execution
Variability in role stability depending on region or timing

While individual experiences may vary, the consistency of these observations suggests an opportunity for improvement in workforce planning, onboarding structure, and communication practices.

1. Typical day at work: Working one on one with patients and providers to heal wounds. Had the full support of the Las Vegas providers. 
2. What you believe you learned: I learned a great deal from the providers on types of wounds, appropriate dressings/treatments for wounds, assessment and identifying wounds etc.
3. Management: My lead clinician was very supportive and always listened. I don’t think there was ever a time she did not respond to my call or text. Upper management was great but the Lead clinician from Las Vegas was by far the best manager I have ever had. Thank you M.H.
4. Workplace culture: the Lead and providers all understood the importance of the LPNs and they made it known. They were always encouraging us to continue our education to become Wound care certified because they knew we had the ability to succeed. The diversity was amazing. No matter where we were from, what our beliefs were, or what our license was we were all equal and one big happy family. I was praised and awarded an origami certificate for my ingenuity and skills to create creative and effective wound dressings to fit difficult wound locations.
5. The hardest part of the job: It wasn’t the job itself it was patients who were just so non-compliant. Despite all the education we would provide patients just wanted to do what they wanted to do even if it meant their wounds wound digress. The final hardest part of the job is that all LPN throughout the US were laid off. 
6. The most enjoyable part of the job: Learning from the providers and advancing in my wound care skills. One provider used to quiz me in our joint visits and this was so helpful. He and the lead clinician encouraged me to take a prep course for my wound care certification. I am now in the process of studying for this exam. 


Many reviews reference operational challenges such as communication gaps and large territories, and my experience was consistent with those concerns. However, the most significant issues arose during my separation from the organization.

My role was eliminated with short notice as part of a stated reduction in force. The severance offered did not reflect my tenure, performance, or contributions. Additionally, a portion of my earned wages was withheld until company property was returned and reconciled. This approach created unnecessary stress during an already abrupt transition.  While I fully support returning company property, the overall process felt disorganized and poorly managed. 

In the months leading up to the layoff, I observed shifts in expectations related to documentation and graft treatment utilization that required careful attention to ensure alignment with clinical judgment, compliance standards, and licensure responsibilities.

The communication of my layoff lacked professionalism. The notification occurred late in the day, and the delivery of the message felt abrupt and impersonal. While this may have been routine from an organizational standpoint, it had a significant personal and professional impact.

Overall, my experience reflects concerns with transparency, communication, and offboarding practices.

I have been with the company for a few years now in the Billing Department, so I've had the opportunity to see the way they've adapted to growth and expansion both locally and across other locations. I have learned a lot about managing my time,  collaborating with others on my team, communicating my needs, and ensuring that things don't fall through the cracks when they require follow up. I'm very data driven so learning about the reason for things and researching them when I interact with something new is important to me-my supervisors have been great about helping me as well as allowing me to do that solo when it works better. The hardest part of this job was learning all the processes that go into medical billing! I've been on the clinical side and switching to this side of things has opened my eyes to all the important details you have to manage to get things right. I really appreciate that they took time to train and (re-train when things changed) so that we know the right way to do things, not just the easy way. They have always been ethical  and shown compassion for the patients, which is super important to me. Overall I've been very happy here and look forward to more years with them!

ReSkin has been a great place to work. I have been there for years and with obvious growing pains that happens anywhere you work I have been able to grow internally as well. I have been taught so many things that I wouldn't have learned at a normal job. The culture is meant to show that we work as a team and as we grow we learn to keep that team tighter and better. 
Being there for as long as I have, I have seen patients with years of suffering with open chronic wounds and when we take them on as patients they are healed within months. One review said we only do grafts, but that is whats working. We actually CARE about the patients. I couldn't stay at a job that didn't actually care and working closely with many team members, that is our #1 priority. 
 The company is still new but we are growing really quickly and that's what I love about it. The growth. 

there is flexibility with the schedule on the team I'm on and able to be with my kids at Dr Appointments without fear of losing my job, I am able to go and see a school program. 

This company serves a growing underserved patient demographics, and I would anticipate that over the next several years they would see an exponential growth and demand for their services.

Working as an independent contractor at the house for a great deal of antonymy not only in patient care but also in scheduling. 
As a one on one provider responsible for specific patients, Providers are able to give thorough assessment of progress or decline in patient condition. However, the one-on-one aspect of patient care does make it difficult in accommodating days off and sick days for the provider. As the company continues to grow I imagine that multiple providers in a region could help offset some of this burden. 

Overall, a great company to work for for someone who is very self-motivated and organized and wanting to add some flexibility to her work schedule.

When hired, I kept saying to myself "this has got to be too good to be true". Pay was great, benefits great, staff great. I was given a call and told I had less than a week of employment due to nursing staff not being viable. All the talk of us all being "a family" and how important we all were to eachother to be thrown out because higher ups couldn't figure out how to keep essential nursing staff. Those running the business flounder on direction of company/procedures. As of the time of my departure, they are now sending out the providers (NPs and PAs) out to provide 100% of cares. They claim to be an in home chronic wound care company, but care about pushing their skin substitutes. Burnout is high after having no nursing staff to assist providers with cares.  Shame the waste of potential. 

I have absolutely loved being a part of ReSkin Medical, and I hope I can continue to be a part of this organization until I retire. They have an incredible culture that consists of a safe environment, always striving for excellence, and investing in their people. It's a large organization, that doesn't feel large. They truly care about their people. ReSkin bases everything they do around what is best for their patients, and for their employees. ReSkin Medical believes in accountability, integrity, honesty, and putting people in the right position so they can perform at their highest level, and do it with passion. 

I commend the leadership at ReSkin Medical for what they have created. Nowadays, it can be very difficult to find an organization with such high quality culture and people.

The job and employees were great 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Feeling alone on my "team". The other 2 people on my team worked from home. I was not given that opportunity, dispite having seniority over one of them.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
They are very employee focused with activities monthly or every other month. They did install an anti  background noise system, which is like a white noise sound, that was distracting and gave many headaches 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I arrived at 8:15, clocked in, then sat, alone, in a section in between the other 2 teams. I did my job until noonish, when I was able to interact with the others. From 1 to 4:30 returned to my desk and tasks.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Decent salary for driving around all day in your own car. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Massive territory to cover and there is no rhyme or reason as to where patients are placed, which makes your days miserable. You are not allowed to communicate directly with schedulers either, or anyone other than your lead. It’s a weird company culture that pushes the product whether it’s medically indicated or not which feels gross. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very odd. Zero sense of culture as a provider, you are entirely on your own and have little communication with anyone from reskin. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Driving all over the place. Wound care. Documentation.
