A company with no transition plan, no adequate training program, and no support structure to help employees learn, grow, or succeed. It treats people as expendable resources—offering salaries well below industry standards—and dares to call itself a market leader despite operating with zero compassion, vision, or basic human decency.

They pour money into leadership retreats but treat employees as disposable—even in times of personal hardship. I was hired as Director of Research and immediately thrown into the role without guidance, structure, or leadership support. The person I was hired to replace had already moved on, leaving no handoff, no mentorship, and no foundation for success.

This is, without question, one of the most dysfunctional and disrespectful organizations I’ve encountered. It lacks the most basic elements of professionalism: no staff training, no onboarding, and complete operational chaos. The toxic culture spans from HR to the CEO.

To make matters worse, they posted my position publicly while I was still employed—without informing me, without discussion, and without any respect. That’s not just unprofessional; it’s unethical.

Even more troubling, they turn around and blame you for problems that existed long before your arrival. There’s no interest in fixing anything—they simply set you up to fail and make you the scapegoat.

They may be expanding and financially strong, but that strength is not built on values, leadership, or vision—only on the ability to scale dysfunction.






What is the best part of working at the company?
I've had a great experience working for this company. The team environment is supportive, leadership encourages growth, and there are opportunities to learn and develop professionally.  The company truly values collaboration, patient care/service, and creating a positive workplace culture. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Like and=y fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and adapting to operational changes can sometimes be challenging, but it also creates opportunities for growth and teamwork.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is fast-paced but collaborative. Team members are supportive, and there is a strong focus on professionalism, teamwork, and providing quality service. The culture encourages growth, communication, and working together to overcome challenges.

Worked there 2 years and I would have to say it’s the worst place I have worked in my life they micro managing everything you do work load is for 10 front desk girls most the time it’s 1 per office taking calls and faxes all while checking in and out patients all while having to communicate on teams or being demanded to answer within 2 minutes on top of it call volume is horrible they phone never stops ringing multiple lines ringing alll day everyday and if patients complain you get yelled at for not answering there is favoritism a constant turn over rate from firing to people quitting it’s overall not a healthy environment 

Management has poor communication with employees. Management in order to discipline you screams at you instead of finding a solution to the issue at hand, and will call after hours out of the blue. They lie in order to get their point across. Fantastic doctors and not all coworkers are nice. Coworkers looking at ways to look good in the bosses eyes being dishonest and sneaky. Unreasonable travel requirements, when brought up to management, they simply said to "eat in car" or to not have a lunch at all and "suck it up."

Management has poor communication with employees and always demanding for employees communicate with them. When they should be an example. Management blames employee turn over on fellow coworkers. Management in order to discipline you screams at you instead of finding a solution to the issue at hand. Fantastic doctors and not all coworkers are nice. Coworkers looking at ways to look good in the bosses eyes being dishonest and sneaky. When putting in my resignation the supervisor didn’t even have the decency to communicate or say bye. 

Working at RGFLA does not feel like work, because I get to do what I love, with people that I love. Our management team is always encouraging and supportive. Our physicians will teach you as much as you are willing to learn, and so will the more senior technicians and photographers. As a gay man, I cannot feel more included and supported buy the entire team. The career path at RGF is never shut down as there are many opportunities for growth, and this is very encouraged and supported by management! 
I’m the happiest employee on earth! 

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a job. No communication from management or ‘team leads’ unless you are being berated for just doing your job. No opportunity for advancement due to rampant favoritism. I had a ‘team lead’ blatantly LIE and fabricate a complaint and when I countered this with evidence I was told by management I must’ve misunderstood the situation. No amount of money in the world could get me to work here again. Morale is so low because of this it’s just a miserable place to work.

Helping patients and learning new skills.

You're never good enough. More and more is always expected; and not just for growth.

Hostile, anxiety- ridden, disrespectful, liars

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It's extremely busy and you're never appreciated.

I moved north to be with my husband and have not yet found a practice where I’ve felt like I did at Retina Group. I was a lead technician and I was given responsibility and was not micromanaged. It was an awesome feeling to be able to make necessary decisions without having someone breathing down my neck. We were treated like adults. If I could go back, I would.

This a great company to work because of the culture and the room for growth. I started with this company with little to no experience and they took the time to train me. They invested their time and helped me in my career development by having a lot of opportunity.  In addition, the people are awesome. A very friendly and welcoming work environment.
